This is probably one of the smallest nature centers Ive ever been to, but its very cozy and welcoming. The building is very beautiful and kept up. The grounds are clean and they provide food for the wild animals in the back of the cabin. They also provide brochures that explain the park. The loop trail is 1/2 mile long and circles around the Peninsula. In the nature center, you can find days where they provide activities for children and educational information. Not much room to park at the actual nature center, but there is a plaza located next to it, you could park there. I plan on going back often, I would love to watch the seasons change with the trees and plants. You can also walk down the road a bit to fish. Overall, this is a great place to learn, grow, and make memories.
Both paved and well maintained nature trails that arent difficult. A pleasant little place amongst the businesses and traffic
Great place to stop in for a half hour on the weekend after a walk around the lake and browse through the artifacts they have from nature. From stuffed deer, coyotes and owls to turtle shells and bones theres even real critters to see. Take a load off and sit in their comfy rockers and gaze out into the scenic woods. Its clean, has bathrooms, and is great for families of all ages.
Beautiful park with great trails. There is a one mile paved multi-purpose trail loop that takes you on both sides of the lake, plus a .65 mile gravel nature trail. Inside the building offers live animals to look at and a little reading room. Its easy to spend just 10 minutes or hours here. Check their website or the kiosk for FREE programs that are frequently offered for kids and adults of all ages.
Wonderful and hidden bit of nature that everyone should see. A bird watching station that is peaceful and educational, as well as a wood fireplace to keep you warm on the cold winter days.
Such a beautiful scenic walk Around Brunswick lake. Hwe were just there Wednesday & saw a 4-point buck eating, & fish, squirrels playing tag, oh & a turtle. Peaceful & not too busy at all.
Nice, could use some more exhibits, educational offerings, maybe add info about the trees along the path?
Attended a naturalist led hike through the half mile path in the mature woods of the Susan hambley preserve. Prior to going on the hike we had an interesting discussion including matching names to various species of woodpecker. Inside the building theres ample opportunity to observe wildlife coming up to the various feeders plus there are binoculars so that you can get a good close-up look.
We did free yoga.....my 4 year old loved it
This is so absolutely beautiful! A must see by bike or foot.
Love visiting this Nature Center. Especially enjoy the special weekend activities that are planned. Usually they are very interesting, informative, and fun. Great wooded trail and paved walking path.
We just went there today was so much fun for the boys and us adults beautiful place.....
Very nice hiking trail. Not so big that you can get lost.
Great place to walk among nature! Short walk when youre pressed for time!
One of many gems scattered around Brunswick. The best part is this little park is nestled right in the middle of town. Learn about birds, butterflies, snakes, turtles, or fish for starters and then go try to spot some on your walk through the woods and around the lake.
Nice walk but building was closed
Not much to say about it. I mostly walk past it and it always seems closed. I think its good for kids and local wildlife observations. Looks clean, grounds are kept nice but I dont know enough to warrant a review
Good for a quiet walk with friends or a jog alone or with friends.

Great park for walking.
Nice little picnic area in the back!
Beautiful!
Calming
Loved it
Just a nice little park.
The main concern I had was noticing how many dead trees were lying off to the side and wondered if other large trees still standing were ever checked for disease or rot on a regular basis.
Cute little area
