Truly you feel as though you have gone back in time. They give you an unhurried tour and are warm and friendly as they do it. Much to see and a great gift shop. They have a few picknet tables. The place is safe. The cost to get in is affordable and well with it. I return from time to time, myself.

Read the signage off of I95 South and stopped by while passing through. Beautiful place rich in history. We were provided in this short tour with a wealth of information. Beautiful place. If you are truly interested in the history of our area or in the truth of how plantations were ran and the enslaved that managed these properties, please stop by. Be sure to check tour times and cost. I was unaware that there was a Groupon during my visit. Check before you purchase admission directly.

I love this place it was donated to the county by the late daughter of a rice plantation owner. She donated it in 1973. It has a main homestead an complete with old slave quarters. Theres a museum with the full history of how an why they started it. Wear some comfortable sneakers as there is some walking involved.. Its down hwy17 across the street from hwy 99 which is exit 42. Theres plenty of parking an its $8.00 per person..

It was really nice, you have to pay for pretty much everything, to walk in the park or grounds $16 a couple. And everything that is sold is Kind of over priced but just too cute. It is beautiful and old world but you pay for each place.lived it but will not be back

You must visit this State park, its one of very few actual plantations that seem to be frozen in time. Furniture in the home is original from the time period pre civil war and has not been moved since owners death. The last survivor/ owner, willed this place to the State to be preserved. Rumor has it there is a child ghost in the home, (if you like ghost stories) there are huge oaks hundreds of years old here and the plantation is on a marsh bluff. It used to be a rice plantation, enjoy your visit. Located in Darian ga plenty of motels close by, just Google it!

Just a remarkable historical experience. You stop for your pass and watch a short video of the history of the plantation. Then you wander at your own pace throughout the grounds with dozens of live oaks draped with moss, some being well over 500 years old. Once reaching the house, you are greeted by a Park Ranger who does a fantastic job of detailing the family history and describing life on this plantation from the first owner to the last. All family heirlooms inside the home including artwork, books, dishes, furniture and records as well as the farm buildings & implements are in perfectly preserved condition. A treasure and a remarkable gift to everyone. A must-see!!

Took the ghost tour. It was nice. They are very informative about the history of the place. Some of it gets a little repetitive though. Still it was worth a go at least once. Wish they would discount the price a little for children though. Vacationers with children in tow dont usually have somewhere to drop them off. Can get a bit expensive if you are paying for a family of 5.
