Playground cooler than run of the mill. Includes: cargo net bridge, barrel roller, zipline equivalent (which I have more fun on than my toddler). Great layout with picnic tables, open spaces to run, bike trails weaving throughout, and shade.

I love the trails that they have for people to walk on. They even have a small ice rink outside during the winter. you can also bring your dogs to the park. They also have a small pond that have geese and ducks in them, making it an even more beautiful scenery. You will enjoy yourself at Palmer lake Park.

Nice quiet park with everybody on the trail showing kindness to each other as they go by their business in the park. Ex/ walking, running, bike riding, or simply look across the deep dense green grass to the other side of the city

Lovely nature preserve with walking & biking trails and playgrounds serving several neighborhoods. Enjoyed every day by many local people. Easy access. Its the real plus to living in Brooklyn Center. There are wetlands, so sometimes parts of the trail can be under water.

This is my local park. I love exploring the swamp in the winter time; fat biking on Shingle Creek itself, shed hunting for deer antlers and letting my dog, Ally, run free. This is a good location to see all sorts of wildlife. I have pheasants come out of the swamp to visit my bird feeders. In the springtime the park is alive with all sorts of warblers, I’ve witnessed a eagle snatch a fish and in the last few years there’s a pair of sand hill cranes roaming around.

Nice park but be aware that many of the neighbors around the park are racist. Other than that it seems to be nice... site was reserved, with permits in order, for a charitable event. Police were called 2x when the only activity was kickball games. One guy even lied that he could hear the music at his house that wasnt even near the event. I couldnt hear the music until i was in the parking lot very close to the kickball field. The music was rap rather than rock and if a police officer, and a fire chief had not been part of our party and spoken with the officers dispatched, I believe we would have been shut down permits or not.

My family loves having access to the walking/running trail. We use it regularly and are thankful to the City of Brooklyn Center for keeping it week maintained. There are a couple of different features including two parks with play equipment for kids and ball fields. Only down side is occasional flooding after heavy rains.

We take our son there as there is a very nice playground and park, and within walking distance of our home. Quiet park tucked away in a residential area makes it feel secluded from being in a busy metro, which is very nice. You can also rent the Pavillion out for grill outs as well!
