This is a good spot if you have a boat or want to camp and dont mind a lot of people! Its a very busy place! However, upkeep is good at this spot. Bathrooms are clean considering its a public camping/recreational area. You do have to pay a small fee to get it, even to use it as a day use area. The attendant was super nice!

Cool spot to go swimming or picnicking. Appears to be a nice spot to camp but we only day visited so I can speak on that. We visited in the middle of week so there were only campers and no one in the swimming area. I can imagine it probably gets crowded more on weekends but for 2 bucks day use this is a good deal. Also there is a range (free with day 2 dollar day use fee) right down the road but unfortunately I did not get to use it. South Holston Lake is beautiful and I would love to come back and camp here.

Love this place! Great camping for cheap. Also lake front, bathrooms, shower, and cell service.

Nice place to camp out. Not much on fishing unless you have a boat. Decent swimming area also and restroom were good.

They keep the restrooms and property clean and maintained. We had a blast swimming and camping. Definitely family oriented or great to catch a break from society.

Clean and quiet place to take the kids for a swim. Shoreline is a bit rocking and tough to enter, but once youre in the water, it is great.

This is our favorite place to camp.. bathrooms are nice and clean with warm showers. The sunsets are amazing. There is a large area for kids to play and swim. Animals welcome on leash.

The campsite managers were very rude! They made us leave after like 1am when everyonea kida were sleeping bc we had too many cars at the campsite. No regard for people with kids. I dont know if Ill be back because of this one experience

My family absolutely loves Jacobs Creek perfect place to take your family so they can take a dip in the lake. Definitely going back!!

I have been going to Jacobs Creek for 15 love the place but on Monday October 14 2019 my son and I had packed up the 5 kids to camp for the week since the kids were on fall break as soon as we backed in to unload we were meet by Roy who wanted to know what we doing cause the park was closed and then wanted to know where we got the ticket we told him out of the box he said we were lying cause he had removed them already .the tone of his voice was so RUDE!!! You need to leave now cause I following you back to the gate to lock it...sorry we didnt know he could have been a little nicer about it. we thought it was opened until the end of the month. he could have when about it different but it was ok we when to little oak and camped hopefully in spring he will have a better attitude

The park was great it was the boaters that made it bad . No reason they should be flying so close to swimming area & digging so someone can surf. Go to the beach ... its not cool making such big waves in cove, Young children were just swallowed by waves . They also had no respect for people in canoe or kayaks. Law enforcement should check into this a little more..

I love Jacobs Creek. Its always such a nice and clean campground and one of my favorite places to come swim.

The best place to camp

Awesome place to camp and spend time at SoHo. They have many camp sights and most are on the lake. They have a bathhouse and a beach area to swim. Great places to fish and so peaceful.

Only 4 stars because they really dont keep up with the mowing in the summer. They often let the grass get way to long

Great day at Jacobs Creek. Clean campground and bathrooms. Nice camp host we were visiting family with our big dogs, on leash, and he stopped and asked about the dog breed and how good looking and nice they were and went on around the loop. Great time hanging out with family for the day with the pups!

Really great place to swim in the lake, cookout and small summer events. Wouldnt have larger family events here for lack of enough seating or shade. Bathrooms are one step above porta-potties that stay smelly and humid. But for a small family cookout for a few hours and talking a swim in the lake this is one of my favorite spots to go to.

I really enjoyed our stay. We had to figure things out ourselves because there were not any rangers or attendants. It wasnt hard though. It was very quiet and not crowded at all. We would have stayed another night if we didnt have to work. Did get late night visits from raccoons but they didnt stay since we had locked the food up. We had a really good time and we will go back

A super fun day at the lake. They keep this place very nice and clean including the bathrooms and grills. A great place for the family to swim and/or camp. Totally worth the $2 group fee.

Its nice, big sites, quiet cove. I think Little Oak is better though.

The only negative about it is I wish it was easier to locate each camp spot. Maybe each camp spot should be numbered or something....

A really nice place to swim, kayak, canoe, and paddle board. There is a marked swimming area where boats can not go. They also have good picnic areas and camping.

2 dollar admission fee.
