Nice place to take a walk, very popular place to go. You will find all activities (runners, walkers, bicyclist, dog walkers).I wold not recommend this if you are trying to social distance, or are hoping people will be wearing masks.Coming from the Rooster Front Park side it is a good half mile before there is a bench available to stop and rest .

This is a great park. You can bike, walk, hike, canoe, you name it. The scenery is very beautiful, especially in the fall time. The lake has good fishing. The biking/walking path is compacted gravel and is always in good condition. The spillway is a sight to see. You can play in the creek if you like. This is just an enjoyable park for the friends and family. There is a minimum fee to enter the park, but I am not aware of it. You can park in one of the auxillary parking lots for free and access the entire park.

Great park with water park, picnic tables, golf course, lake, fishing and outdoor center. Jeff Mullins Photography Adventures. Happy Hiking! Steele Creek Park is a regional park encompassing more than 2,200 acres. The parks main entrance is located at 4 Little Lane. The park was originally planned as a state park (Watauga) dating back prior to 1936. The planned state park was abandoned in 1945 and the property that had been purchased by the department of the interior was deeded to the State of Tennessee. It has a waterfall and great hiking trails.

Steele Creek park in a nice sized park conveniently located. There are several amenities on the grounds, a lot for kids including 2 playgrounds, ride on train, nature center and a splash pad. Entry cost $2 per vehicle at front gate, absolutely worth it. There is a parking lot with free entry to the grounds just not as close to any of the amenities.

Maybe its because Im from California but this place has anything and everything you could possibly want from the creek to the lake to a train that runs around for kids to ride on to a frisbee golf course and probably 100 picnic sites!! There is actually a trail that you can either write a bike down or walk down with your dog that goes 2 miles down to another park at the other end. Ive now been here three times over the last four days and I still havent seen the whole place!!

What a great little park! Found this lovely place when looking for a place just to sit and eat lunch. It is only $2 for a car to get in and totally worth it. The picnic tables by the lake were beautiful and it was so peaceful and quiet. Alot of geese there in the water and on the bank. Lovely little stream there as well. Would be great for kids, they have a splash pad for kids and playgrounds, paddle board and a train that runs part of the time too. Definitely worth a picnic day! Youll love it!

You have to pay a small fee per car to enter this park (I paid $2), but it is well worth it since theres so much to do! They have a lake that you can rent kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats, a train for kids, several hiking and walking trails, a splash park, playground, picnic areas, and more! I spent about 3 hours here and I followed the hiking trails and the lake trails. I LOVE hiking and this was nice for me because I was alone but felt completely safe. The hiking trails were strenuous (if youre out of shape and not expecting a real hike- aka me), but they also have a nice paved trail around the lake that would be perfect for strollers or dogs. They also have public restrooms that are clean and great parking. Im definitely going back and dragging my friends here with me! Definitely worth a visit if you dont have time to go hike a real mountain, if you just want a nice park trip, or if you have kids!

Steel Creek Park is family and dog friendly, has some excellent amenities, and is a wonderful place for picnicking or a nice walk along the lake. The trail from the Broad Street parking to Rooster Front off Vance Dr is good for running, biking, or just a stroll. It has a nature trail, and several shelters and playgrounds. The splash pad stayed packed this summer. I love spending time there. The nature center is a great visit. The staff is friendly and helpful, and for safety it is subtly patrolled by Bristol Police. For a measly $2 it is quite a good deal.

Well-maintained, extensive park with wooded single-track trails, flat beginner trails with benches, a Nature Center, a family friendly Splash Pad, a two-part disc golf course, and a neighboring golf course. During the summertime, patrons may also access the lake via a boat ramp and a childrens train ride. Restrooms are accessible year-round. Addotionally, shelters and an indoor event venue are available for rent. There is a low $2 vehicle entry fee into the main body of the park. The flat Lakeside Trail connects to a short, paved greenway system.
