Actually we were on the bike path from Warren to Bristol, we kinda went through part of it. I have been there before this place is beautiful. However it does get very busy in the summertime.

This place was a terrific place to stop and have our lunch while riding the bike trail.

Favorite all time place to visit....one of the few places to feel free from overbearing rules....my second home away from home. You feel welcome from entrance to exit, everyone who works there is so sweet & friendly, great place to bring the family. For the most part the beach is very clean, people respect its beauty.....just be sure to bring beach shoes/sneakers because the rocks can be sharp & slippery.....If you enjoy soft & smooth sand, then this may not be your type of beach, as for me, I love the colorful beauty of the rocky ocean. Cant wait for next years season! Thank you to all the staff at Colt State Park for giving us such a welcoming place to visit.

Such a wonderful park to spend few hours or entire day. Lots of picnic tables, large open space, bring your bike, take a walk, beautiful view everywhere. Town beach is just by the side of the park.

My wife and I just moved here and my wife took me on a bike ride, showing me this lovely bike path and park. It is So gorgeous! For no trash cans in site it looks really clean.

Rhode islands state parks in general are so impressive and such wonderful contributions to their respective areas, allowing residents and guests alike expansive parks with several things to do. Colt State Park in particular is the most impressive I have ever been to. It has a great Beach, camping sites, grilling areas, a very impressive and well-built boat launch, dedicated large fishing Pier, seemingly endless fields and paths to walk, baseball field, basketball, tennis, a pavilion, childs playground... and much much more. Henry Colt gave the town of Bristol an absolutely magnificent landmark not to be missed. if you are short on time and have not been before, even driving the loop of the perimeter is undoubtedly a worthwhile venture. It is staggering how much the staff and rangers put into Colt Park, as especially in season every square inch of the grounds are impeccable with some of the most impressive landscaping ive ever seen. Some of the mature plantings, such as a row of arborvitaes, are the tallest, most perfect specimens I could imagine exist anywhere! The crew responsible for maintaining this amazing public resource quite clearly take a pride unrivaled anywhere in keeping the entire park groomed impeccably and deserve thanks, praise & respect for their coordinated efforts which words cannot even begin to capture. It seems trivial given to their efforts, but thank you!

Wonderful park. Definitely recommend. The view of the water is beautiful, there are nice hiking trails, an enjoyable loop to drive, and there are restroom accommodations at the park. Its free to enter. There is also a nice place to fish in the park.

The drive along the Bay within the Park is beautiful. husband and I love to walk in the woods at Colt State Park with our dog, Zoey. There are so few people on the paths, Zoey gets more freedom to be herself and run to her hearts content.

Beautiful day, beautiful park. Lots of space by the water as well as a public beach. Wooded areas with picnic tables, lots you can reserve for outings. A walking trail as well as the start of the state bike path. All in all a wonderful place to spend an hour or a day.

Had a great time at Colt State Park as always until the rain came and even then me and my brothers and nephew toughed it out for about an hour under the trees where we were until it started raining heavy. Nice clean area. Lots of picnic tables that you dont have to pay for on the office side fields.

Good place for a day picnic. Lot of space, lot of tables and grill spots. Only downside is no beach as such. Specially in covid time good to see people maintaining distance

So much to do in this large state park , great destination for a bike ride, easily accessible via bike path. Beach is kinda mediocre, good recreational facilities like a skate park, basketball and tennis courts. Good running trails, docks and fishing or just hanging out by the water

One of the best places to have large picnics with family and friends

Refreshing ocean breezes and scenic bike and walking paths are the highlights of this amazing park. Also, sites with grills can be rented ahead of time, many of them under trees for shade. Open grassy fields are also available for lawn games, kite flying or just running around. Visit the town beach for a minimal fee, which also has shaded picnic tables, a playground, bathrooms, and a sand volletlyball pit. A large pavillion covering several picnic tables is a fun place to rent for group events. Definitely worth the trip!

One of my favorite places. You can hunt around for sea creatures, ride bikes around, have a picnic, etc. Its huge, gorgeous, and so well maintained! I love it

Beautiful park. Spent hours at this park with a loved one here just walking around and exploring. Theres so much to cover and tons of room if you want to plan a family picnic or BBQ. Beautiful sights, a great breeze being by the oceans, couldnt get any better.

The biking today was great. My two grandchildren 10 and 7 had a great time. 10 miles for them was enough. A lot of people out walking and biking. Everyone was cordial and having fun. Enough of this being locked up!

Went to the park for the food trucks, they were out standing they even have a truck for dog treats and water.

Huge park with over 464 acres of lawns, flower bushes, fruit trees, walking/jogging path and 4 miles of bicycling trails and curving roads along Rhode Islands most beautiful historic seaports. Lots of camping sites and cement tables for picnics and outings. Restroom was clean and like most reviews stated, no trash bins inside park only small ones in restrooms.Picturesque views of Narragansett Bay!

I find myself to be very lucky to live here in this area of the country colts State Park is a true treasure in every way in such bike trails or the front biking path can you even launch your boat wonderful boat launch spectacular views of the bay luscious green lawns and gardens also picnic tables everywhere enough room for 5,000 people or more it seems

An amazing place to visit. Very peaceful to walk around at, and plenty of trails if you prefer the woods. The water makes for great pictures and its my favorite place to walk my dog at!

A great place to picnic with your fellow shut-ins. We came on a beautiful day, there was plenty of open space, good for biking or Bar-B-Q.

Great family picnic area with pretty views. Very well maintained! Plenty of shaded picnic tables and clean restrooms. Grassy areas to fly kites or relax in the sun. Beach area is seperate but looks nice. Dels trucks come through frequently which is awesome!

Very good park, it has a large picnic area and a large bike path. The beach is very small, but its pleasant. If you wanna park close to the beach they charge you 10 dollars. But you can park just a little bit farer and walk over there (wich a recommend).

This place is just stunning. HIGHLY recommend coming for the sunset. There is a Pier, boat ramp, you can go camping, have picnics, or use the paths. Theres a beautiful outside ceremony area. Theres restrooms, a rocky beach, and just beautiful scenery everywhere.

Over 400 acres on the bay overlooking Warwick. Wooded trails, paved paths and shoreline walks that will have you looking for sea glass... possible arrow heads from Indian encampments or maybe you would like to try to find the Rock that has possible links to Vikings!!! History Channel America unearthed Season 2 Ep. 4..... since that aired the Rock has disappeared from its oringinal location!!!Perfect place for a sunset picinic!

I had my nephews first birthday there and the private areas that can be reserved are great ours was right on the water and we had an amazing view of the water and saw a great footbridge

Colt State Park is a beautiful area to enjoy the outdoors. This 4th of July weekend, we had a barbeque with a couple of friends.Barbeque grills are available at sites that also include four picnic tables. Its recommended to reserve a site because they fill up fast. The fee is very reasonable. Its only $20. Thats for the entire day! I recommend a ride around the park before you rent the site.The park is next to the town of Bristol recreation area. This area includes several sport facilities.Colt State Park is a gem!

Colt state park is one of the most beautiful state parks Ive been in. Being right on the water and getting a nice ocean breeze.

The grounds are well-kept, and the bayside area has plenty of benches and a nicely paved walkway/bike path.

Beyond beautiful. So many great areas to walk, photograph, reflect. Its a beautiful drive with the ocean right beside you. Its one of my quick fix drives if Im craving the salty air :) The drive getting there is just as fun and beautiful. A great place and town to get lost in.
