In my opinion, the best of the Cleveland Metropark locations. There are so many options for hiking trails. There are paved trails and dirt trails, and a variety of lengths and difficulty. It is a hillier area, so be prepared for that. My mountain scenic overlook is a beautiful location to sit down and take in the view. If you can handle a short hike with an elevation climb, I definitely recommend checking the area out.

Beautiful reservation. I hadnt spent a lot of time out here so today we did the 4 mile deer lick loop. Its a really nice trail and well marked. The payoff was the caves and rock formations at the creek. Really scenic. Its a lot of of up and down elevations so wouldnt recommend this trail without water, good hiking shoes, and some experience hiking. Great day!

Great place to hike and walk. There are many trails to choose from and parking lots to grant easy access to trailheads. The park gets moderately busy especially in the afternoons but it is always clean and never feels crowded. There’s great views of the Cuyahoga river and there are a couple access points to launch kayaks and paddle boards. If you are looking to explore there are so many waterfalls to find as well!

I walked the Hemlock Loop Trail and it was the kind of trail I love with good uphill climbs and sweet surprises along the way. Its a very busy trail, most likely due to its easy access combined with a challenging hike. I cant wait to go back and hike the other trails!

Fantastic trails throughout. Deer lick cave is an interesting attraction, but it is very muddy around it. In spring it is often full of frogs. The hills throughout the park are moderate to high for the area, but certainly not mountains. The salamander loop trail ends with a nice overlook that is worth a stop.

I love this park. It is so user-friendly, easy to access, and connects to EVERYTHING. There are so many trails, waterfalls, parcours workout stations, trailheads, fields, nature centers, waterfront - its an absolutely stunning example of what Cleveland Metroparks are like. I spent four months here training for a 50 mile trail race and still have yet to get bored of these paths!

We started our hike by the falls near Route 82 taking the paved walking path until we came across the nature center. From there we meandered from path to path heading south and came across some beautiful trails with up and down paths, interesting sights, some stairs, a creek, and pleasant wooded scenery. The terrain was changing with some rocky downhill spots requiring care and attention. Nothing too difficult but a nice minor non-paved challenge. We crossed back over to the paved walking trail and hiked back up. I very nice hour and a half in nature getting some steps in. Beautiful pick for a gentle hike or walk.

Great park for a walk or hike, there is a good mix of paved and natural trails which lend themselves to all sorts of groups and abilities. Some areas and parking can get busy on weekends when it is nice out, but there are definitely areas where you can get a bit further away from the crowds if youre looking for a little less people and a little more nature.

Im so grateful for the Metroparks. The red trail at the brecksville metroparks is so challenging and fun. So much to see and wide enough for a couple to walk next to each other. Bathrooms are open by the nature center and with some smaller access roads around closed to COVID, its quite peaceful and serene. Been here so many times. Flat trails and heavy hills make for a varied workout for everyone. Heinens nearby to pack picnic supplies too!

I liked the privacy of this area..we were at the lower end, just off the riding trail.. I was disappointed to find broken glass all around the rocks as well as in the water, apparently from people breaking bottles against the rocks.. I spent the better part of an hour picking up glass and putting in a bag so I could dispose of it at home.. this needs to be checked before a child gets hurt..

Beautiful, quaint little park right off a city road, but still quiet. This is aa cute little getaway if you live in the town but are craving some nature. Even thigh its right off a main road, I found that the noise doesnt carry into the park at all when you get a bit down the path. There are benches and tables, and a cute little wood hut where my friend and I hid from the rain when it started drizzling. It was incredibly clean and well kept up on. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the park, as I actually went with the intention of picking up litter if I saw any, and I didnt! A really well kept nature reserve.
