Nice golf course, well maintained with a good layout. The course was challenging but fair. They have a nice range and short game area for warming up. Range balls included in the price. I played the week it was aerated but you could tell the greens were typically in good shape. They still rolled good so it wasn’t bad to play. Most of the bunkers were in good shape. I would give it 5 stars but the restaurant wasn’t open and there wasn’t a snack cart. Covid situation and I get it, but a snack cart would have been great in the Florida heat.

IMG Academy Golf Club was very good.I played there on 10/28/20.Good scenery on the course. Looks good.Greens were very good, but I did see many ball marks on greens.Fairways were good.Rough was good.Tee boxes were scruffy.Pace of play was very slow with many people on the course. I was a single walker, and my round was close to 4 hours long.No lower walking rate.Driving range was good and long with a mat and some different targets.Many range balls were included.Practice putting green was good, but it was without holes. It had posts.A separate green near the putting green for chipping and pitching with many practice balls on the green, and I was able to use some of the balls.I rate IMG Academy Golf Club a 4.45 on a 5 point scale, a B+, and recommend playing there.

We chose to have our wedding here and we were not disappointed. The wedding coordinator worked with us and helped planned everything out. The surrounding is so nice for either a inside or outside wedding. My wedding was in August so definitely inside . The food was delicious and service was friendly. My family and friends had good things to say after the wedding. Thank you for taking care of us and giving us a wonderful experience!

Highly recommend. It is a beautiful place to have a wedding. I experienced excellent communication with Julie. They were all very accommodating and receptive. The day of, they had everything set up prior to my arrival at 10am. The staff made sure we had everything we needed up until and including time we left.

Right hand doesnt know what the left is doing. Dont believe anything they tell you on the phone because when you get there it will be different.

We booked our wedding almost a year out and were so excited to have a Florida wedding there. Covid changed our plans. My husband is active duty and there was a stop movement in place so his leave was denied. We couldn’t reschedule the wedding because he has orders to move overseas this summer. I could understand if it was our choice to cancel, but the US Department of Defense has control and would not allow him to travel to Florida. IMG was even unsure of they would legally be allowed to hold the reception and felt a two week lead time was sufficient. We had to replan a wedding in a few weeks, have the stress of knowing I’m going to be without my new husband for two years and lost our deposit on a venue that put money over human decency.

Nice will play again.

I only visited the main building for a luncheon. Its an attractively landscaped 2-story building with an elevator. The entrance is somewhat grand. The room in which we ate had windows along the entire outside wall. Our lunch was served well by a single server. The linens and tableware were elegant.

Fun course. Wide open fairways, good bunkering and in good shape. I would play it again. Not the most challenging but a lot of fun.

Nothing great, looks like this dining room has seen better days, several carpet stains, unwashed windows. Food was alright, nothing extraordinary. Does look over the bay, but no outside seating which it desperately needs!

I attended a wedding here on the 10th hole and the reception inside this beautiful golf club. I am very happy with the service there.

We came for the one-week golf camp in Aug. It rains a lot here in July and August so maybe not the best for outdoor golf training. 9-11 junior kids learning golf in one group. Daily training schedule seems to be good as my daughter became mindful of her time and routine.The staff wasnt checking kids dorm discipline in late evening as they should. So some kids can be loud into midnight. We signed up for a leadership class but my child was not notified during orientation as to where to go. When she missed out one lesson, no one was trying to find her and parents were not notified. Not very organized in this sense but my daughter enjoyed the leadership training A LOT.Dorm is quad with bunk beds with its private shower in the room. It is very clean so it is good. Kids would bring their memory foam mattress liners because their mattress has plastic cover that makes noises. If your child is a light sleeper like mine, you want to emphasize this and request roommates when you register for camps. Her first roommate talks into the midnight and asked her to do chores. So we asked to be switched to a different room, which was a great room of kids who go to bed by 9:30 for morning tennis practices starting as early as 7am.Cafeteria food was just okay considering the price. The only fruit is banana and most food are cold.Staff on emails and at the front desk are quite responsive and friendly when you escalate issues so that was very helpful to switch to quiet rooms.

We had about 32 people who enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Beautiful view of Sarasota Bay.

Virtually no drinking water on the course. Half way house on the 11th no personal coolers, no walking except for members. Course is in very good shape. Ok for the money.$$½

We had our wedding here last March. And it was amazing! Cindy (the event planner) makes you feel so comfortable and she is so bubbly. She makes the process feel so easy. We thought being a golf course it would be beyond our limit but, still checked it out. And it was actually very reasonably priced. From the food to the atmosphere, it was just awesome! It is a gorgeous place! I would recommend it to everyone. Especially people on a budget but still wanting a fancy type place.

Loved it except last time, a group of us was seated very close to a larger group of women who were like magpies. Could not converse. Only time that I was not happy. Food good, service fine and usually quiet and enjoyable.

Went on a Sunday. $55/ player but conditions warranted the cost. No cart service on course but snack shack on like 12 or 13th hole. Greens rolled fast and true. Beat mt opponent handily so i loved the place. Very forgiving wide open off the tee. Spend the extra its worth it.

So, Im standing in the first tee on a super fogging morning with 8 of my family members who all just paid 70 bucks to play a course none of us has seen before. When we rolled up to the clubhouse to pay our greens fees we obviously had questions related to the facilities and the responses we got were that of people who were bothered. Then, after making our way across a busy street to the first tee, Im stepping in to address my ball and the ranger rolls up and exclaims, you guys are going to have to hurry. Are you freaking kidding me? The guys in front of us, that I can barely tell have moved far enough ahead to tee off because of the dense fog, have now allowed me to begin my round and I have this ranger pushing me to hurry? As a group, we just gave the course roughly 560 bucks to play golf and they treat us like we are unwanted on their mediocre golf course. This is NOT how to treat guests that can choose from a multitude of other courses in the area. Im with 7 other successful businessmen, entrepreneurs and professionals and we are treated like a bunch of miscreants. We are all down to earth, polite, honorable, faithful and considerate men who just chose to be patrons of your establishment and you treat us like a bunch of pesky children? Think well ever play there again? Not if it was the last course on earth!

I found this course quite enjoyable to play. The fairways were quit open, and the tees were well maintained. Furthermore, the greens fees/cart prices were very reasonable, especially if you had purchased the Summer Card. The only downside to this course was the condition of the bunkers, especially those on the fairways. They were essentially rocks and seashells, not predominantly sand. I was fearful of damaging my clubs hitting out of them. For an academy, so to speak, I would think that would be considered unacceptable. Be that as it may, it is summer time, and I would trust this would be addressed in the fall, when they are charging premium prices and instructing golfers on this well laid out course.The restaurant has a marvelous view of Sarasota Bay, and exquisite birds out the far end of the the property. There are only 3 or four two-seaters tables that allow for this magnificent view, so you may have to arrive at a time when they are not busy to take advantage of this. The food, and service is quite good. While I am not a red meat or pork eater, my friend is, and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I had the vegetable burger, and it was great.We will play this course again, I just hope I dont find any bunkers, understanding I only found two this time.

I was here for a GOLF tournament consultation and the entire staff was so informative and accommodating, we made our decision on the spot. We will be conducting our CHARITY tournament here on the 1st of September. With the Outstanding staff at IMG GC I have no doubt it will be a slam dunk.

My (Now)Wife and I had visited several locations to choose the perfect setting for our Wedding Reception before we made our decision. After we were welcomed and met with Cindy, in addition to viewing the venue at IMG Golf and Country Club, no other venue compared or even came close. If you are looking for an elegant, stunning, affordable setting to host any event, IMG is the place hands down. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the windows surrounding the entire venue provide a perfect view of the Sarasota Bay (Especially the sunset in the evening). Cindy and her Staff were more than accommodating and helped so much throughout the entire process that we honestly could not have asked for anything better. I would also like to say a huge thank you to Mark, who offered to escort us around the golf course with our photographer to take the most perfect pictures. I am a very tough critic when it comes to things so please know that this review is genuine and I stand firmly behind it. I am a perfectionist and as it was the most important day of our lives, everything had to be perfect and nothing less. There was not one single thing during the entire process that was anything less than what we expected, if anything they greatly exceeded our expectations. We can’t thank everyone at IMG enough for being so kind and helpful throughout such an important milestone. We will surely be back when we host other events.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about IMG Academy. Our wedding was held in the clubhouse and Cindy, the event coordinator, was beyond attentive and helpful. Every staff member we came in contact with was polite and accommodating. Our guests are still raving about the buffet almost 7 months later. Plenty of room for a large wedding and my wedding party had lots of room to get ready beforehand.Without hesitation, I would recommend anyone to hold their wedding here. A beautiful venue for a more than reasonable price!

Great layout and early tee time availability.

Traps are 50-50 sand and dirt. There is a lack of grass around greens many bare spots. Greens were good and fast.It seems like they are falling down on keeping the course in good condition.Its far down on my list of courses to play.

Beautiful setting, great food fantastic secenery.

We went for a Christmas dinner. When the dinner rolls were served there werent any bread and butter dishes on the table. When the cookies for dessert were served - we didnt have any plates. The service was excellent. The waitresses and waiters were excellent

Bad experience on our 34th wedding Anniversary dinner. We were seated where you could not see the water nor the sunset...those tables were empty. And it was brutally frigid in there. People were complaining & no one adjusted the AC. The table next to us were cold & asked to be moved to the bar where it was warmer (we should have done that).My pasta dish with beef tips had no flavor & the beef tips were tough & very hard to cut. Meanwhile, the nice tables with a water & sunset view were still empty. I asked the lady who seemed to be charge why people were not seated there (was warmer there too) & she claimed it had something to do with the # of servers...made no sense. I asked why it was kept frigid in there in spite of the customer complaints? No answer given nor was there an apology about the AC conditions & the tough & tasteless food. So much for customer service! We left...will not return! (1 good thing: the creme brulee I took home was delicious.)

Great golf course, well maintained with friendly staff. Best deal in the area especially if you have a Big Summer Card. When you play you have use of their practice green, chipping area and driving range. Great view of Satasota Bay from their club house that have excellent weekly specials.

I like IMG golf course. Fairways are in nice shape right now. Greens are getting work done, so putting is a bit more challenging right now on a few holes. Some see the layout as tight, but I dont find it tight. There is plenty of room to use your driver. There are shade trees, and plenty of birds to see, including osprey and eagles.

Disappointed that we were pulled off the course due to lightning in the area.

We just had our wedding at IMG. they were AMAZING to work with! Cindy was so great and easy to work with. She responded quickly, listened to all of my requests and did everything in her power to make sure our wedding was a beautiful & fun event. I highly recommend everyone to have their wedding or event at IMG. The guests LOVED the food!!

Nice place for activities and parties

Went for a Christmas party for work and it was an absolutely great experience. The food that was catered was delicious and the deserts were beyond expectations. The staff was so friendly and attended to us constantly. There was a full service bar. This venue was so much better than the Christmas party that they had at the Hyatt last year.

Greens were in great shape!

Very decent yet far from a pristine course. Solid bang for the buck ($44 with cart @ 8am) and my round was lightning fast (3hrs 15mins in a threesome). Tee boxes were not recently cut, the greens were extremely slow and the bunkers were a touch depleted. Course has a nice layout but in general lacks proper maintaining. I would consider playing there again but it wouldnt be my first choice.

Exceptional! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at IMG and couldnt be more pleased with the experience. The food, service and view were spectacular. Our wedding coordinator, Cindy Zagorski, was fantastic! She never made us feel pressured and made sure all of our requests were met. What I liked at IMG compared to other places I had looked at was that I didnt feel they were trying to nickel and dime us for everything and they didnt pressure us into things. Cindy was super easy to work with and sweet as could be. I would suggest IMG to anyone looking for a venue for a special occasion and we will be looking to use them again in the future for sure for any celebrations we may have.

We celebrated our daughter’s wedding in April of 2016 at IMG Academy Golf Club. We could not have been more pleased with our experience. After touring other popular locations in the Sarasota/Bradenton area, IMG was the most impressive. We found the Banquet manager, Andrea, to be extremely helpful and gracious. Her professionalism, dependability and ability to grasp our vision made planning the evening enjoyable and far less stressful than anticipated. Andrea went over and above to ensure all of the details of the ceremony and reception were covered, and we had complete confidence that the wedding day would run flawlessly.The facilities are impressive. The banquet room sits on the second floor above a very decorative and impressive entryway, and with large windows lining the room, it has a view of Sarasota Bay that not only impressed our out-of-town guest but the locals as well. With its westerly exposure, this room included the perfect backdrop of an evening sunset on the bay!Chef Cesare was fabulous. We were impressed at our tasting sessions and were equally impressed on the night of the wedding. The meat was tender and the vegetables and sides were fresh and perfect. Not only was the meal he prepared fantastic, but he saved the day when just one hour before the ceremony the cake arrived and to our surprise, our daughter’s initial on the cake was incorrect. After unsuccessfully trying to reach the cake company for last minute help, it was Chef Cesare to the rescue. He took the cake into the kitchen and worked his magic. In just minutes he had it looking flawless, as if nothing had ever been wrong. We couldn’t believe how skilled he was and obviously were relieved and appreciative.Andrea and Chef Cesare are a great reflection of the entire IMG staff who were equally impressive and focused on superior service. IMG Golf Club Academy was a fantastic experience from beginning to end and receives our highest recommendation.

We were a party of 10 for dinner. The service was good but the food was terrible. It was cold on some plates, undercooked on others and the Salmon was over cooked! We wont be going back.

Great place, the food was excellent, we saw a Rod Stewart show there staring Robert Stewart who is Rods cousin, and his wife JoRae Stewart, it was fabulous, one of the best shows Ive ever seen, they also have a duet show and go under the name True Passion.

My husband and I were married at IMG Academy Golf Club in April 2017. We looked at almost every wedding venue in Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice before we decided on IMG Academy Golf Club. If you are looking for a venue that will be flexible and do everything they can to accommodate special requests and your needs, this is the right venue for you. We were so impressed with the level of professionalism and responsiveness throughout the wedding planning process. Cindy Zagorski, the event coordinator for the venue is absolutely wonderful and a delight to work with. Also, the view from the venue is absolutely beautiful and one of the best indoor venues we looked at in the Sarasota-Bradenton area.
