The course has a great layout with both challenges and opportunities. The course was unusually dry today, especially considering the amount of rain weve had recently, but still a lot of fun. The greens are slower than many courses, but it shouldnt take you long to adjust.

Dreadful, simply dreadful. How can you actually take money from someone and let them play a round of golf? Everything is in horrendous shape. No starter/ranger, no beverage cart. Crabgrass for greens. GPS on cart only showed front/middle/back. Cart did not have a parking break. It rolled on the incline/decline. Did not have any type of sign stating that it was Heritage Harbour. I went through the guard gate and drove around the neighborhood. I was in the pro shop and someone was complaining to the attendant about ranger and course conditions. The person did not want to come back. I will never play there again. Awful. It doesnt even deserve one star.

What a great way to spend a Monday off from work...I’m really starting to believe in the new ownership’s plan to return this course to what it used to be, one of the best in the area. (I’m a 15 hcp) The layout has always been fun and challenging, but unfortunately the previous owners let maintenance fall behind. Now the fairways are back and the greens are rolling true again. Bunkers look to be next and this is important, because the bunkering is excellent and really makes the course memorable. The clubhouse is nice. I haven’t tried the new menu yet. Staff is very friendly. New ownership looks determined to deliver a good golf course and be good neighbors in the process. Lots of small groups, golf and non-golf events for kids and adults.3/4/19 update. Sand seems to have been replaced in all the bunkers. They need a bit more raking, but its an excellent improvement. Highly recommend coming out. The course is in great shape.

Tennis is our full time game, golf is our part-time shame. For hackers like us, Stoneybrook golf course at Heritage Harbour is the perfect day of whack a ball. Lots a water and sand challenges for the technical golfers; lots of places for us to lose balls and use our foot wedge. Loses one star for being Steelers country. Go Eagles!

What a disappointing course. I played here about 10 years ago and the course was in very good condition. Now it is difficult to distinguish the fairways from the ruff. The sand traps have been abandoned completely which makes the a true hazard LOL. The only reason I gave two stars is the greens where the only well maintained part of the course.

I played there earlier today. The greens rolled fantastic, course was great!! staff was awesome. It was there staff Christmas party that evening and the kitchen was closed when I finished my round. The gentlemen working honored the sandwich and drink vouchers I had and opened back up we had a pleasant conversation about his family’s course and seems like there gonna do a stellar job running it. Keep up the great work guys!!

Heritage Harbour golf course is back in action. The greens are in great shape and rolling true and fast. The positive changes that are happening are having an impact on this course which had been declining before being taken over recently. The staff is great! Have always liked the layout of this track. Many different looks on each hole. The bunkers still need work but overall great experience.

I am a scratch golfer and recently played this course a few weeks ago. This is one of the best layouts in the area with a great design. The fairways were very pure and fair to hit off. The greens were tough yet were running smoothly. The bunkers need some work to them. With the new ownership, I can see that they have already addressed some of the bunkers and began repairs on them. The course use to be in a lot worse shape. The new owners have done an extremely great job with getting this course in better shape!Once the bunkers recover, this will easier be a top 5 course here in the area.I look forward to playing here multiple times per month and seeing the conditions of the course keep getting better and better!I highly encourage you to visit!

Have always like this course and play it regularly. The new owners are making up for the neglect of the previous owner and theres improvement everyday. The course is challenging and worth playing. The course was fun to play and challenging at the same time. The greens were well maintained and it was a just a beautiful course in general. The two of us played 18 on a Sunday morning and only came up on two 4-somes that we happily allowed us to play through. The 18 holes came with 2 lunch and drink vouchers which we cashed in for 2 awesome BBQ pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches! This is a great course if youre looking for something not over the top expensive yet still great quality. Definitely will be back.

This was a great golf club before the new owners took over. They are not very friendly and they push you to play fast. My last round took 4 and 20 minutes for a foursome. Not fast enough for them. They are also not handicapped friendly. The carts are GPS restricted so you its hard if you hit into the rough. The previous owners would disable the lockout so handicap players could get closer to their balls. The course is not in great shape either. Many of the greens need work. Its too bad as I liked the course before the new owners took over. Believe it or not River Run is in better shape and they dont hassle you.

Course is pretty good shape but my experience with staff has been poor. Yesterday, 1/19/2019, we got a meal ticket and drink ticket. However when we got into the clubhouse at 4:10pm it wasnt honored. Nor would they honor it on another day. Seems kind of small. It goes back to previous times playing when our foursome paid $45 to play but I was charged $75 plus range balls. Two years ago I played in the Stapleford Cup. Same thing happened. I live in Heritage Harbor and since my Stapleford Cup experience I didnt play the course for 2 years. With new ownership I would try again. It appears the staff there still treats people the same. We have 8-12 golfers at times. We will take our business elsewhere. Im done and wont go back.

Stoneybrook Golf Club at Heritage Harbour, rated 3-1/2 stars, is home to a generally well-regarded golf course, which includes several attractive holes and features. Formerly known as Stoneybrook GC at Heritage Harbour, the name has changed simply to Heritage Harbour Golf Club. This is one of many recent changes and there are more to come. I found the back nines fairways really wonderful on my recent round, especially considering all the recent rainfall. Management of the course is hoping to have the front nines fairways and all the bunkers on the course improved in about a month or so. This Arthur Hills design plays very long and it feels even longer to cover the 18 holes because of the large gaps between greens and tees as it winds through the Heritage Harbour community. The Par 3s are probably my highlight of the course. Bobby is a terrific employee in the golf shop as well.

This place is a great value. Its a well designed track, I really like the layout. That said the condition is a joke. Greens are in terrible shape. Recently aerated, but no mention of it when booking. This course eats golf balls. We lost balls that were just a few feet off the fairway. On the positive side, the course is the best shape that Ive seen it in years. However, the pace of play was terrible. We were not able to finish our round (3 people) when a course marshall approached us on the 16th tee and told us it was our last hole - 4.5 hours after we started! Very disappointing to have to stand and wait on most tee boxes.

Layout of the course is exceptional but the conditions are deplorable. As a long time member, Ive seen the conditions of the course deteriorate, year after year. Today was the worst I have seen it. Many different types of grass and weeds growing at different heights and speeds. The greens look nice but the speed is so SLOW, I felt I need to use a rescue club to putt with. I hope the conditions improve real soon or I will look for another club to play at next year. Please improve the course.

This was a beautiful course with a busy active clubhouse many years ago sadly no longer.Staff is friendly but course is overpriced for current conditions. The bunkers are unmaintained and more mud than sand, the greens are slow and inconsistent. Course is very hard and dry. Slow pace of play and no rangers spotted. We also never saw a beverage cart and the halfway concession bar is no longer open. We were not permitted to take cart to parking lot to unload clubs. It appeared this was to make you feel obligated to tip staff to clean clubs. We therefore drove up picked up our clubs and met at Applebees for a beer. Not on the must return list unless major changes occur

Review №56

The course was OK, fairly typical layout. Layout was through the houses, the man in the Pro Shop said it was nine miles along the cart path. Fairly wide open. We played with two winter visitors, strangers to us, elderly, and one was badly arthritic. He walked very slowly; but he was as nice as could be, and kept up OK. The GPS in the cart broke after seven holes, so I had no idea how far the shots were, as the course was poorly marked, distance wise. When we finished, I mentioned the broken GPS to a staff member - no response. But he did manage to tell me you were 20 minutes behind. We held no one up, and considering the people we played with, I thought we did well (it was 4:35 from start to finish). After thinking about this, that may have been the rudest thing I ever heard at a golf course. We were going to have lunch there, but now I was sort of POed, so we left. And, never to return.

I am not sure what course people have been playing that are writing these other reviews. This place looks like the grounds crew is on strike, litter all over the place, the bunkers are all big pits of mud, there are weeds everywhere and the fairways are like hitting off pavement. Man working the pro shop today, Todd I think, was a royal a**hole. Our friend was running late so I said that he could just catch up to us when he got here. Todd said no, he would just push back our tee time. I told him no, we were ready and our friend could get a cart and catch up. Todd said they were very busy today and needed the carts and he would have one of his guys run him out to us if he showed up. I told him he will show up and he would still need a cart since there were three of us!? Not only was this guy a jerk, but didnt know what he was talking about. I told him never mind that we would take care of it. When we finished the round we pulled up and there was no one to clean our clubs or assist with anything. I saw the same guy from earlier walking by and I told him they should check the cart we had because it was unusually slow and did not have GPS. He said, Well thats the one you started with isnt it? I am not sure why that made any sense to him? I said it was, but I did not know why we were given that one when there was a lineup of carts with GPS. He told me that a lot of their carts were like that. I suggested they use those last for a better guest experience and/or upgrade. He told me, Pal, thats labor intensive. I do not even know if he used that term correctly and I was kind of shocked at the interactions I had with this guy. Throughout the day Todd was not only incredibly rude, but he did not even seem to make sense with his responses. The Ironic thing is, I am moving to Heritage Harbor next month and was seriously considering a membership at Stoneybrook, until my experience today, and I will not be back. I guess I will spend my money elsewhere, you should too. There are many golf courses in the area and I am sure none will treat their guests this way.
