This park is awesome and definitely worth a stop. There are a couple of trail options that took you right to the top for a beautiful city overlook. The trails are not challenging and easy enough for most people to enjoy.

The place is really easy to access about 12 minutes walking from Pearl street. The climb is not too long and it was quiet and nice. You get a good view of Boulder too.

Great trail lots of cool places to go bouldering! Great view of Boulder from the top! Not the easiest for little kids but if you have a baby carrier its not so bad. About a quarter mile into the hike theres a little stream as well. Parking is limited FYI

Stunning park with beautiful views. There are two main trails you can take; the red rocks one that leads you to beautiful rock formations you can climb, and a more straight path up the mountain. Overall the hike could be completed in an hour depending on how much you climb. Plenty of options, would highly recommended!

I absolutely enjoyed this hike. Convenient parking and its free. Not much space for vehicles though so is limited. A good hiking trails with spectacular views. Going down is slippery ( loose gravel) so be prepared. The red Rocks has a nice story posted on a rock about the settlers and gold mining.

Closest Hiking to town. This park offers quick trails with great views. It is a little crowded, but worth it for the views. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the top. There are many boulders one can climb. The bottom is not interesting but the top is beautiful. This is also an excellent place to take photos, including panoramic photos of the town. The only problem is that there is not too much parking.

This place has some gorgeous hiking, right on the outskirts of Boulder! Its also clear that its a local hangout spot. Youre allowed to scramble all over the rocks, which is a cool experience. Also a great place to come and watch the sunset over Boulder. The trails can be a little confusing, although its easy enough to find your way back to where you want to be. I wish I had more time to explore this little gem!

Go on weekdays to avoid hoards of people. Very thin, long one-way loop. Gets very crowded very quickly. Not too much elevation change. No tough hiking. Very relaxed stroll. People shout at you to stay on the path although it’s none of their business and not their job. Too many people to enjoy on weekends. Very basic. Ok views.

Seriously beautiful hiking area walking distance from downtown Boulder. While Chautauqua has more trails, this hike has a much more interesting and diverse scenery. It is breathtakingly beautiful and is typically less crowded than other hiking spots around town. This is hands down my favorite hiking area, I like the Red Rocks Trail a lot, but even better is the Anemone Trail. There is also the Sunshine Canyon Trail, which is more of a long walking trail. You can’t go wrong with any of the spots around Settler’s! Happy hiking:)

Review №71

Great park and nice hike but clear that most people here do not obey the trails as in some places there is so much erosion from people walking off trail that you can’t tell which the real trail is. I even saw two dopey headed idiots climbing over the peak of anemone trail where there are clear blockages marked with wood planks to prevent people from walking there. They climbed right over the barrier after I watched them hike down on the grass! I mean talk about disrespect to the park, nature, the rangers and other hikers! Too bad they didn’t fall and hurt themselves in the process.

A great place to let the kids explore! The trails are short though a bit steep in sections but the effort is well-rewarded with views both to the West and the foothills as well as to the East, overlooking the city of Boulder. Due to both directions being in view, you cant go wrong whenever you decide to visit!

Beautiful park in Boulder definatly worth a visit. Quiet serene and theres a playground for little ones. I did get a ticket for camping but i had arrived at night and didnt see the signs. Hotel had overbooked and i was stranded. Only recommendation light the signs so that it doesnt happen to anyone else.

Settlers Park is a short jaunt in the front range of Boulder, CO. The hike up is easy to moderate in places. You can make the hike easier or more challenging depending on your comfort levels with heights. Plenty of rocks to traverse if thats your MO or a nice leisurely stroll up a mountain. The view from the top is incredible overlooking all of Boulder and parts of the front range. Definitely good if you have an hour to kill or inbetween lunch meetings.

Fun wilderness on the western edge of downtown Boulder. Trails are mostly quite moderate and so this is a great place to take kids for a hike (theyll climb the rocks but its safe) and its close to Eben G. Fine park where theres a playground and easy access to Boulder Creek to cool off.
