A very nice area to take my 5 year old to fish. We did not catch anything, but the family next to us caught a lot! The parking lot is very close to the pond which was good we didnt need to carry everything too far. I did notice hone homeless people around father closer to the library, but they seem to know to leave the families alone.
This place is one of the only stocked (kids) pond in Colorado, i would say it’s a hidden treasure but it’s not hidden at all. I always catch fish here no matter what, when fishing at this pond don’t use lures! The fish are a custom to rainbow power bait, worms and flys if you fish off the boulder sticking out of the pond right in front of the parking lot you can see the fish and can cast right in front of there faces! I love to fish here and I highly suggest bringing your kids.
Amazing little pond for kids. We caught 8 rainbow trout in about 3 hours. Parking lot is right next to the ponds. It is popular and does get busy, so go early.
This place was beautiful in the winter. The pond was frozen over and was gorgeous. There were several guys there half naked doing exercise. One of them tried to explain the reasoning but I didnt follow. There were several families there enjoying the weather. It was cold but a clear sunny day.
Beautiful little pond very conveniently located!
Boulder creek runs behind it, it also makes the ponds for the children. Parkinn lot is for the justice court monday -friday 7am to 5 pm. Great spot for rafting and playing in the water during the hot days of summer.
Pretty cool little fishing pond right in the city of Boulder. Its stocked and perfect for little kids and introducing them to the sport of fishing. Had a good time with my 3 year old and I intend on frequenting Piersons Pond until I can graduate him to river fishing or a larger body of water.
A great way to show kids you have no idea what youre doing!
Caught a 17 inch 2lb rainbow in there. Was delicious. Well, it would’ve been if some old lady told me not to keep it, although the rules state otherwise.
Hey Im not really trying to get my age but I actually if its there as a kid learning how to catch trout thats a cool place but theres also taking the kids out to Walden Ponds open year-round and as long as you put the kids on the Open Water Walden Farms kind of delivers Im a fisherman so just saying if youre talking about for your kids take him to the place where even though all guys will help you teach your kids how to fish my dads there all the time
Alway my kids enjoy the ponds
Very small public park that would appeal to young children interested in a running creek, fishing (or watching other kids fish). There is some big, flat, boulders, to cross the stream, at one area, and even my 4yo was fine going across on a rainy day with me holding her hand. It is beautiful here... you can continue past this fishing pond area on both ends to keep walking with nature.
Beautiful pond and nature area with a small bridge and walking trails that are hidden. Perfect for young children!
Getting out and about enjoying nature and water
We have yet to actually catch a fish, though we have seen others be successful. Even now at the very end of September we were able to spot fish swimming around (just no luck catching any). The setting is very pretty. Lots of nice places to stand on the edge of the pool. Also a decent place for pictures with the pretty setting, though it is usually somewhat busy.
Such a cute area for families
Very disappointed!! The website made it sound like it was one of those fishing pond places where kids are guaranteed to catch fish. Its not!! On the other hand, the park is very pretty and clean.
Beautiful park
Great place to enjoy the day
Perfect for the new fisherman...free for children under 12. Clean, safe, environmentally aware and educational, parking near by small and quaint pond!
Great place for kids to enjoy the thrill of the reel, and big fish on the other end and a big o smile on the other..
Fish? What fish? Did I see any fish here? Were any fish caught? No, no and no. I dont know what people are saying that they catch all sorts of fish here. You could spend hours here and catch nothing but mosquito bites and watch all the homeless meander by. Its also a great place to be leered at by the homeless. Otherwise, skip this place. There be no fish here.
Great little picture spot. Soothing to watch the water.
Beautiful park
It brings back memories of my children...my ex wife took them from me. Im so depressed and middle aged and fat. Plus Im going bald!
Always loved the kids pond and the post flood renovations make it even better
Great place for kids to start off fishing.
Nice spot to see baby geese and for kids to learn how to fish
Sweet place for the kids
Great family adventures and quality time together with nature
Beautiful park. So much to see and do
Supposedly this is a kids area, but stunk of pot and filled with homeless...not impressed.
Nice place to stroll, no place to park
Another way to enjoy the ducks!
Great place for a walk or run.Beautiful river to follow.
Great place to take your kids. Not too crowded and the college kids are respectful and do not cuss around children.
Its calming and the people are friendly
Exactly what is sounds like
