Scheduled a surprise trip for my wife and I at sunset.Went through a small training to learn how the tandem cart worked. Very cool that they offer 2 and 4 person carts for groups and kids.Incredibly safe and fun especially right now with the everything closed due to quarantine. Its a great outdoor activity. Especially the lit Up picnic area at the end. I totally recommend packing snacks and drinks.Provided quality time for us.So if youre interested in riding.Take a few pics here and there but enjoy the ride with your friends and family. Its not about how fast you get there. And yes there are bathroom available before you take off on your adventure. USE THE BATHROOM

I went in February so Im a little bit late with this review. When we got there, we were immediately greeted by super friendly staff. I cant remember her name but she explained everything to us. I went during the sunset and it was amazing. It was a little chilly but it was nice being out in the open and enjoying the beauty of the scenery around us.It was a lot of fun and can be a leg workout once you round the corner toward the end. I suggest picking up speed before the corner otherwise your legs will be in for quite the workout. It really was a fantastic experience and I will definitely go again.

The absolute best experience in Vegas! Worth every penny! Be prepared for a workout towards the end but a smooth pretty good speed downhill is what you can expect for the majority of the ride. There is a pretty lit sitting area while you wait for your train ride back to the station. Definitely would go again in different settings, and I dont do experience several times often.

Great experience. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Coasting on the rails for most of the trip gives you time to enjoy the ride and scenery, but be prepared to pedal up the incline at the end. It was a bit of a thigh burn for 2 out-of-shape mid-60-yr-olds, but well-worth it.

We reserved the 3:30 time for the tour. Other than being hot 90+, they supplied umbrellas to use if you wanted to have a bit of protection from the sun. We all wore hats. Be sure to bring water and a snack for the wait for the return train ride back we all enjoyed. They have Adirondack chairs to rest. They have 4 person and 2 person rail cars. They are peddle cars, but most of the rail is down hill and we didnt need to peddle, the last half mile is more up hill, do be prepared to peddle. There are locomotives to view, but couldnt get on them. Picture ops. They took a group photo to send to your phone. However, we didnt get it, didnt come through. About 2 hours in all.

A really cool adventure! There is so much more they can do with this experience, which they are working on. Affects from the pandemic have also been an issue for this as well, which we should all be able to understand, so keep in mind that they have just saddled back up this July. I truly had a great time, just wish it was a longer ride for what the price is. Should love to do the later tours next time!

We had an absolute BLAST!!! it was so much fun and felt amazing being on the tracks and coasting honestly you didnt have to peddle much except for the last stretch it was a good 2 minute workout for your calves lol. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and the train ride back was very nice. Theyre great at social distancing us too I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice adventure away from Vegas. They offer 2 seaters and 4 so theyve got options.

This was a really fun experience! We did the 2 seater bike during the evening. It was cool to see the stars and mountains at night! The actual time cycling on the rail tracks was about 25-30 min and then we had a short break at the end. The break stop was very cute, with patio string lights and tables and chairs for people to rest. The train then picked us up and brought us back to the station. I do wish each bike was started off with a few seconds in-between the next bike, instead of all at once. We had a couple behind us that insisted on tailgating us throughout the ride. Overall, this was a great experience!

My daughter and I,friend went here for my birthday. They give us instruction what to do, tell us how to get on train bike. You wear seatbelts and choose one person to help brake. They give you umbrella for the shade. Ready, Set and Go. Your rolling pedaling have fun there are people in front and back of you. They are space out. Its seem like your going about 35 mph. You can coast some of the ride as well. The last mile it hilly. Its so much to see and a lot of fun. Then you meet up with the others. There a nice seating area while you wait for train to take you back. The 4 and half miles. Dan the conductor gave a lot insight to Boulder City. The staff was great.

The ride down the tracks was very smooth and the view at sunset is so gorgeous and we enjoyed the picnic area too!The train ride back up was a lot of fun ( the social distance setup on the train was VERY impressive) I really enjoyed talking with the staff members; they were very knowledgeable.I would do this every day if I could. They were super friendly and were happy to take photos...and they even gave a treat to our dog. The railbike pretty much cycles itself so you dont have to worry about being in shape. I was also very happy to see the staff all wearing masks and disinfecting the railbikes. I felt very safe the entire time. I do wish I had brought some snacks and drinks for the little picnic area at the end. They should sell some items.

I got a free bday shirt, and the roundtrip experience was well worth the drive from Vegas (about 30 min).**TIP- save your energy for the short uphill ride @ the end! We had a great time on the Rail Explorers. It is a relatively easy four miles pedaling along the tracks because its downhill and at the end the train takes you back to the station. This is a must do experience in the area. Its beautiful to look at the scenery in a new and exciting way. When you are done you get to relax and wait for the train to bring you back. The staff is beyond amazing. They work so well together and beyond friendly and courteous. We had an issue where we were having trouble getting a car to come get us and take us back to downtown Vegas and they all took it upon themselves to make sure we got a way back. Four or five of them were actively working to get us a ride from Uber, Lyft, or somewhere and promised there is no way we were not getting back into town. This extra step they took meant so much to my wife and I and it was a refreshing customer experience. I cant thank them enough and would recommend everyone get out there and experience the rails because you wont be disappointed.

Amazing experience and all the staff was so hospitable!! They even opened the museum section for us to see the train cars before our Pedal Bike experience. We took the sunset excursion, which was beautiful. We got the best of both worlds, sunset and light on way out and night time train ride back by moonlight. They have 2 or 4 seaters that you all pedal, one person is the brake person. We were lucky to have a headwind, especially at the end of ride where your pedaling uphill. They say most of the time you have a headwind which makes pedaling that last stretch harder. We had the 4 seater so we didnt have any trouble at all and most of the time we were coasting. Only about 11 miles from Hoover Dam, must see experience!!!

Very disappointed. My husband and I were so excited to do this. The advertising is misleading. Do not think this will take 90 minutes. We were back in our car in just less than an hour. The first 10-15 minutes is fun but then you have to pedal uphill for the last quarter of the journey. We thought once we got to the top wed be able to cruise downhill but you soon discover the ride is over right before you reach it. You run parallel to the expressway most of the ride. The mountains are pretty to look at but we could see the same view driving through the area. The ride needs to be longer and go farther and deeper into the desert. I will say the staff was very friendly. Below is a picture of a view from the car we were riding in... this is right at the beginning.

A most enjoyable experience!!! Went out with my husband for a romantic sunset ride and it was ALL THAT! You will begin your excursion with an introduction to your experience, what to expect, how long it may take, and how you return! The majority of your ride will be downhill, but you do have a very small incline, which was actually pretty fun while we peddled away! We had time to take in Mother Nature while we chilled at the picnic area while waiting for our train ride back! It was so peaceful and relaxing, I didnt want to leave! This was a unique outdoor experience that should definitely be checked out..Rail Explorers Service: All the guides and staff we encountered were so upbeat and friendly, this was Disneyland like service. Instructions on how how the carts operate (how to adjust seats, how the brakes work, seat belt, etc) given by the guides were crystal clear. Once youre strapped in, the guides were awesome with taking pictures before you start pedaling off down the rail. Additionally, the staff on the train ride back were very friendly and always smiling as well.Rail Explorers Experience: Once you start pedaling, the cart moves pretty easily as its geared perfectly. A majority of the 4.5 mile trip is downhill so you can coast a majority of the way. Theres a light uphill grade at the end of the 4.5 mil trip which is right be the railroad pass casino on your left. After you disembark, you wait until the remaining carts arrive. The carts have storage baskets so we brought a cooler with some snacks and some other patrons were smart enough to bring beer. To get back, everyone boards on a Union Pacific Train complete with passenger cars. Theres enclosed cars, but we preferred the open air car on a day with awesome weather. We had a group of 10 with 3 kids so this experience is super family friendly. This was overall a very relaxing ride and is something Id do again with family and friends who were interested in trying it. Check them out before the summer months as they operate when the weather is pedal friendly in Nevada. Buckle Up! =)
