This place is just awesome. I had a blast the first time I went and I’d definitely go back again. I can’t wait until this pandemic is over so I don’t have to worry though!

This is a great addition to Downtown Crossing! Whats better than sitting at the bar and being able to play Mario Cart with friends! Or make new friends...which is difficult in this city but Versus helps break down that anti-communication wall. Great selection of local craft beer on draft and bottles/cans. Get there early to get free entry and games. Check the website for times.

This was an awesome date night spot. We got in pretty early (630ish) and was able to enjoy all the games before the small crowd formed. The different selection of pinball games was definitely my favorite part.Pricing was super awesome, legit a couple of bucks for unlimited play.The food is typical bar food with a splash of “fancy” but it tasted pretty well.I cant forget the awesome fella who greeted us, took our orders and showed us around. Amazinggg customer service (when I go back Ill update this post with his name)

Came here for my husbands birthday and had so much fun! It is amazing find the arcade has all sorts of games ranging from skeeball all the way to Mario Kart.The food was so delicious. I got the cheese steak. They also have a great beer and drink selection, which makes playing video games even better!Come in with friends for a fun Weekend or weekday afternoon, you won’t regret it!

Really cool place but drinks are OVER PRICED!!! I ordered one cocktail for each of us in our party of 4 along with one Jolly Rancher shot for each and paid $102 just for the first round!!! And the drinks were not strong at all.Needless to say we limited our drinking.Its a $5 cover charge but they had old school games. Mario cart and UFC gaming on the big screen at the bar. Skeeball, basketball Connect4, table shuffle board, Pac-Man, Street Fighter, etc. just to name a few.We did not try the food but it looked good.

This place is so fun! A few of the games had issues. Awesome selection of pinball. The food was standard, but delicious. I got the impossible burger. So happy they have Crazy Taxi! Overall a good time. The bathrooms need more love.

The best bang for your buck for any video game bar in Boston. $5 gives you access to all the games, with their being a wide selection of all the classic arcade cabinets, pinball, racing, skeeball and more. Great creative cocktails (a bit expensive, but taste great) and solid bar food, including an Impossible burger!

I enjoyed my drinks, and the food was good. But it’s over priced and over crowded. I know I went on a Saturday night but there was nowhere to sit. I had to sit where other people already had their stuff. Paid 5$ to play games but there were none available, and I was here for at least an hour. It’s a cute spot, but I would’ve had just as much fun at Chuck E. Cheese. Sorry.

Cool place but there was like 6+ of your games not working/ out of order. The waiter kicked us out of a table saying it was for people being served. I had ordered 2 drinks and so did my bro at the time. Cool concept but maybe it was just too busy when I went in.

Great variety of games, from retro to console. Great amount of pinball games and ski ball. 5 dollars for unlimited play. Great drinks and food. Probably one of the best places to chill in all of Boston. Highly recommended

Fun arcade themed bar, with old and modern pin ball machines to video arcade games to modern games that can be played at the bar on big screens. They even have shuffleboard, skee ball, and air hockey. Food and drinks are decent, including the Impossible Burger. Looking forward to coming back.

A good place with $5 unlimited games. Nice location off of main busy streets. reminded me of arcades back in the 90s. Good drinks on tap too. The pinball room can get a little crowded though.

I actually like going here. I recently had a birthday gathering here over the weekend! Great place to have a chill gathering, ppl could eat/drink and play old arcade games. The only thing, the bathroom was a bit messy. I somewhat get it, it can be hard to keep up while busy but still kind of imp to maintain.

Went Saturday afternoon. Food is fine but overpriced. Atmosphere is kind of weird. Staff are nice, if not knowledgable on games. Games arent in great shape. Given the small space, game selection is very good. Price is great. Games on TVs behind the bar is such a good idea. Ultimately, doesnt quite work as either a bar or an arcade, but a nice way to spend an afternoon.

This is such a unique arcade! The pin ball machines and other games are retro and fun! Reminds me of the other arcade bar in Cambridge but way smaller. The drinks and food are pretty standard but they also have the impossible burger which was actually delicious, it made me question if it was real meat or not. Definitely recommend, fun date night idea, first stop for a night out or chill night idea.

Mike is a super awesome person and works like a machine to take care of everyone at once!!Literally my favorite spot to hang out in Boston!VERSUS is a fantastic geek-friendly bar in a remarkable downtown location and has more games than it’s competition in Cambridge or Salem. Only 1 block from park street and a fun spot for late-night with friends! They’ve got a PS4, Switch and Xbox all on big TVs at the bar which is a super cool touch.Sometimes the games break, but they have a ton and it’s only $5 to play whatever you want as much as you want! They also get new ones all the time and fix old ones pretty much always by the next day. Their burgers.. are just burgers, but their pizza is fantastic! Drinks are creative and bartenders always busy, but super helpful!

Good beers, a fun food selection, and the cheapest games youll find in the area ($5 for unlimited play). 21+ after 7, and many deals throughout the week. Not the most extensive arcade selection, but definitely enough classic cabinets to keep any connoisseurs interest. Great place to practice posting high scores.

This place was fun. Great for a date night starter, or an after work decompression. Good beer options as well as various cocktails to please. Tasty, decadent comfort food apps. Lots of good options for the casual gamer. Music was kind of a 90s vibe. Diverse, attractive crowd. I liked it. Would definitely recommend.

Great place for classic arcade games mixed in with some newer ones. PS4 and Xbox games are also available at the bar. Went on a Sunday afternoon when it was busy so it took a while to get a table/waiter.

Went here with my coworkers to celebrate finishing a big project and it was really fun! They have a wide variety of video games (pacman, smash, big buck hunter, etc) and board games (connect four! be prepared for the pieces to fall on the floor though, haha), free to play!They have chicken fingers and fries, mac & cheese, cider, beer, etc for you and your friends to enjoy while you play video games. I really enjoyed hanging out here. Highly recommend this for going with a group of friends but I think it would be fun even on your own.

We recently rented out this venue for a birthday party during the day on Saturday. The entire process and dealing with the staff was incredibly easy - I was able to coordinate everything over email with Jenna and they were very accommodating as to what I wanted. The place itself is awesome - three separate spaces laid out longways like a bowling alley with the bar in the middle. All of the games were working just fine while we were there and all of our guests had a great time. We had the pizza, mac and cheese bites, tater tots, pretzels, veggie tray - the tots were a crowd favorite. Very happy with the beer selection.When our event ended at regular business hours, they let us stay at a table - the place did have a few people waiting to get right in but it wasnt crowded at all for the first hour it was open. I will definitely be back. Parking would be an issue if you were driving - but its near public transport.

I was there when it wasnt busy and we waited at a table for 15-20 minutes while the employees stood around talking to each other and on their phones. After ordering our first round of drinks, it took another half hour for the waitress to come back and tell me there was no more of the drink I ordered. The service was subpar and the food was overpriced for what it was, the only good thing about this place is the $5 unlimited gameplay.

Unlimited games on Friday nights for $5 is pretty hard to beat. Shuffleboard, Skee-ball, Street Fighter, and Smash Ultimate make for great bar games. I wish they had Super Smash Bros Melee.

Versus is awesome...Ok now that thats out of the way, this place is a ton of fun. The selection of games is great and everyone was so friendly. Would definitely recommend for a date night.I mean, they have TVs at the bar with Wii consoles hooked up so you can play while you eat and drink. So you even need to keep reading?Food was also pretty good, great wings and a good sized burger. Look on their website for the specials each night - theyre a good deal.Will be back, again and again and again. Love it.

Had a blast with some roommates had a margarita which was great and played some games towrds the end of the day we played a card game then called it a night. Has a good atmosphere I would recommend anyone to go there to have a good time.

Honestly one of the greatest bars Ive been to. Drinking tequila at the bar while playing madden is worth a trip. I still need to go back and check out the rest.

Its a bit crowded ofcourse, but 5 bucks to play anything and everything? I had a blast. The portions of food were small for the prices, but hey they gotta make thier money somehow.

Arcade was fun. We ordered food and waited for over an hour and never got it. When we flagged down someone to ask where it was they told us they could not open the kitchen because the chef didnt know how to.

I ordered chicken and fries and they were decent. I mostly went for the arcade though, and it was amazing. Its just 5 dollars for endless play for all games, and there are so many. Awesome!

They play 90s hiphop, theyve got pitchers, its clean, its reasonably priced, seriously I love this place. Be sure to go on Thursdays when they do free arcade and 1/2 off food

What a wonderful venue full of amazing art, a friendly and accommodating staff and such delicious drinks and snacks! The management is super friendly and the game selection is so much fun! We had such a wonderful time and will most definitely be back again

Good selection of beer and if I had any negative is that service was pretty slow at the bar, but to be fair they could have been down a bartender, etc..... Great space with a great atmosphere. Getting unlimited arcade games for $5 is well worth the value. Some fun drinks, if a little on the pricy side. If you want several, they have a special for 4 drinks thatll save you around $10.

This place was so much fun! And at $5 for unlimited games you cant beat the price.

Layout is absolutely terrible. So hard not to bump into everyone. Bar is packed and bartender service was almost non-existent. When she did serve my buddy, she was rude. She probably needed more help back there. Also, lots of the games were broken. BUT still had a blast and you cant beat the price. Id go back for sure.

I discovered Versus when my friend brought me there last weekend and I am OBSESSED. The pricing is amazing for all you can play and it was crowded but there wasnt a ton of wait for games and everyone was super polite. Games were addicting.

Mediocre food and drinks. Wait staff generally friendly and helpful which is what saves this from being lower. Nice if you like classic arcade games. Not my thing, so just loud and a space that is poorly laid out and hard to navigate

I had such an amazing time here! Michael, the manager today, was super friendly with our large group and made sure we were all taken care of if we needed anything or had any questions. And the arcade games were such a nostalgic throwback. 11/10!

Some of the machines are a a bit run down or ooo, but arcade bars are fun and this one is right downtown.

Definitely getting closer to how a barcade should work. Pay a gaming charge on entering, then dont worry about coins or tokens to hop on a machine. Versus is a little bigger than others Ive been to and you can play Mario Kart at the bar. Could use some more arcade selection though.

Versus is a lot of fun. The staff was accommodating. My daughter and I went on a Sunday afternoon. We played skee ball, basketball, connect 4, and Jenga. She also played some car video games. The pizza was good. The prices were right. The games were available with not much of a wait. We will definitely be back.

It was a pretty neat arcade bar with some classic games like space invader, pac man and some other ones like ninja turtles, crazy taxi. It was unlimited play for $5. They have couple of pinball machines and other activity games. It was pretty decent, but wished there were more options.
