Nice theater. Good sound. The chairs they set up in the orchestra pit were reasonably comfortable.Though they let people into the foyer, they didnt also open to lobby doors. That was strange and people were packed in together. It would have been reasonable for the staff to let patrons know that the only staircase to the balcony was inside the foyer on the right so they could use the correct door.

I went to see the Try Guys tour here, which was totally fun and hilarious. The theatre was nice. Clean and well kept. Lighting and sound quality were great. There is a gorgeous chandelier in the theatre itself that gives everything an old-time, classic feeling.Only downside was that the back of the balcony had some unique visibility issues (The show had a screen near the back of the stage that had projections which were not visible). You could always see the whole stage, so this probably isnt an issue for a lot of shows. Overall I had a lovely experience here and would certainly return.

Had a very nice time in an old well maintained theater. We sat on the ground floor level and seating was a little bit cramped, similar to the old style movie theaters. Event was very well-organized and staffed. Refreshments available consisted of beer, wine, soda, mixed drinks, chips and candy. Our view of the stage was fine but as nobody said in the row directly in front of us I cannot comment on what your experience would be.

This was a holographic performance of Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly. The technology was limited,in that the performers couldnt move around the stage, but so what! This was a great show. And neither performer has a bad song in their repetoir. I cant wait for the next holographic show,whenever/whoever it might be. Unfortunately as an employee,I cant take pictures.

Comfortable and roomy seating for a theater. Big disappointment in the seat selection. At no time during the purchase of tickets were these seats labeled obstructive views. Tickets were purchased directly through Shubert. Unfortunately, for us and about 30 % of the crowd stage riggt we missed about 20 minutes of the performance due to the speaker placement. I feel worse for the people closer to the stage with the view of a speaking and nothing else

Be weary of buying tickets if a show gets canceled you may not be informed. We drove more than an hour to find a note in the front windows informing us the show had been canceled. When calling the box office ticketing they stated that we should have known as our tickets were refunded a week earlier. We would have caught that if it was not on our next statement that is not scheduled to arrive for more than 2 weeks. Clearly we were not alone as it seemed that another family with 3 young girls found the same letter. Very disappointing, but not as disappointing as the looks on the young girls faces that had their hearts set on the show. Very poor customer service....

The Shubert is lovely place and a solid place to see a show. There is just enough legroom for a six foot person in the seats and idles are wide enough. The sound is great, neither too loud nor hard to hear. The lighting is well done too with none of the source 4s too intense. The stairs to the loge and balcony are steep so older or disabled guests need to take a little more time.Wheelchair guests also need be careful.

Fantastic historic theatre. Be careful about sitting in the first/fifth row since if they put four rows of chairs in the pit then vertically challenged people may have difficulties seeing the stage since the pit chairs are higher than the first/fifth row.Absolutely download the Noble app before you show up to order snacks and drinks online and avoid the wait.

The seats in the balcony are incredibly steep and so close to the seats in front that, at just under 5 ft tall, my knees were touching it. When we went to leave, we got all the way down the steep and winding stairs only to be told that exit wasnt being used right then. A note at the top of the stairs wouldve been a small matter. On the upside, the video display screen was capable of impressive graphics.

Beautiful theater - but I warn you - the guy who wrote that it is oppressively hot in the the balcony or mez is 100% correct. I had to leave halfway through the cirque show because I couldnt even breathe. There is NO air. NONE and the heat from the entire theater gets trapped there. my in laws loved the show but they were even in their t shirts half way through the show, and they were FREEZING the whole time theyve been in Boston being from Florida! We attended the performance of Shanghai dance company. It was a delight. The show was based on a Chinese folklore story of a young man falling in love with a crane. It is almost like Chinese Swan lake. The costumes and the stage production were exquisite and the level of detail was extraordinary. The dancers were beautiful and graceful. The whole experience was wonderful and worth getting out of the house in a frigid night in Boston .

Terrible place to see ANYTHING! The seats are made for tiny people. If you are any taller than 5 feet prepare for uncomfortable night. Sitting down you may have less than one inch clearance between your knees and seat in front of you. Lobby is freezing cold in the winter and not a comfortable place to have an intermission in. Small stage. The theater was refurbished like the inside of an economy plane. Pay a premium for your seat but aim for the uncomfortable feeling of being squished in like sardines. Unless you are desperate to go to the theatre, don’t bother.

When you walk in the Shubet theater there is a big stage. There are 3 rows there is a balcony on each side for 2 people. If you have the balcony tickets they cost more. The balcony seats have a great view. Also you can get up from your seats and go to the restroom. But if you buy ticket for a family they cost $56 per person. And can not get up and go to the restroom. There a great view if you sit near row C or G seats the middle row up top. The shows take 1hour. The food is not expensive they sell ,candy in a box, drinks ( Snapple, water, beer, soda)

The Schubert theater is a 1,500+ seater theater right in the the heart of Bostons theater district. The theater is ornately decorated with good views of the stage throughout, if you happen to be sitting behind someone who is not as tall as you.
