A good spot, good vibes and good times!

Probably less worth than this one star.Its more than expensive and just 4 people enjoy the music downstairs.Drinks aint worth the money.Ill never go there again and you shouldnt, too!

Entry to this place is free on certain days. Their french fries are out of the world and not very pricey :). can get very crowded on weekend nights. Very happening and best to celebrate birthdays or graduation :)

Interesting mix of a club and a lounge. Good layout for separation of dancing area and bar, but the crowd can vary wildly between enjoyable and stiff.

I went here on a Saturday night for a friends birthday party. We didnt get a table but still had an awesome time. First of all, there is no cover. Secondly, the bartenders are great. The place is kind of pricey ($10 for a cocktail, $5-7 for beer) but the bartenders whipped up some tasty concoctions. The one bartender made lemonade from scratch for my special request of vodka lemonade. I know, not the most difficult of things to make but at many clubs the bartenders do not care to take the time to do special requests. The crowd as mid twenties to early thirties, which is a refreshing change from a college-kid dominated city. I would definitely go back here. Table service would be fun but then I would miss out on the bartenders! Oh and the music was pretty typical club music. Some people were dancing but there wasnt that pressure to dance.

The bouncer was just very rude to our group and said he was racist. We will never return.

I attended a Private Party in the Basement Space. The sound system and DJ were pretty good this night and the Bartenders were adequate there were enough problems with this place that makes it not the swanky, classy place that it thinks it is.The Mens bathrooms were filthy and there were dozens of black flies in the toilets and in the sinks. The soap dispensers were broken and the paper towels were installed upside down so when you pulled one you got 8.The apps that were being passed around tasted like frozen meals bought from Costco, not in a good way.

Had a good time. Drinks a little pricey but I expected that. Id go again.

The greatest thing about this place is that its free to get in. I love the red dim colored lighting as you feel that your in a classy club. what I did not enjoy was that its one of those spots where you get drinks spilled all over you no matter where you go. The floors are wet with alcohol and the drinks are pricey as well. The music is a hit or miss, in one room theres techno/house and the other mostly all over the spectrum. Hip-hop, top 40s, reggae, depends on the DJ really. Above all if you just want to have a decent night with friends this is a good place.

I cant say enough good things about Storyville. Every time I come I have an absolute blast. The management is fantastic, especially if youre getting bottle service (they make sure to treat regulars right). The drinks have a heavy pour too, with good pricing so youre truly getting your moneys worth. Plus no cover!

I don’t know if the bouncers are completely incompetent or the club just reached capacity, I’m not sure, but they took me me outside saying I was too intoxicated to stay and I could not even explain myself. I was showing my friend where the bathroom was. Yes I’ve been drinking, like everyone else inside, but I did not cause any destruction or harm to anyone while I was there. The staff was rude while my friend’s and I were trying to explain that nothing had happened. Okay music and service from the bar, but the bouncers and check in crew were absolutely disrespectful.

A fun place to dance and hangout, attracts mostly young crowd who are looking for hookup!

Bouncer is obviously having a midlife crisis and needs to get some. Don’t even try to touch the door before you have all the money his greedy ass needs. Will never come here again.

Trash worst club in MASSACHUSETTS

My friend and I got there kind of late.. it was waay too crowded and it was awful trying to get anywhere. We finally got to the bar and the bartender ignored is for 20 minutes and when the guy finally approached us my friend ordered and he snarled thats all youre going to get.. interesting way to treat your sober customers.. surprisingly it was the bouncers that were the friendliest

I showed up to Storyville at 10p for a birthday party. It notes on their website that they open at 9:30p - but I guess not tonight? The argument was that the DJ was still setting up. After being prompted to pay a $20 cover the minute they opened their doors, I explained I was part of a party. To which the hostess said, Oh...I dont have a guest list yet so either you can pay $20 or wait here til I have one. A few minute later, the manager arrived to his shift and told her he was going to print out the guest list. After that ordeal, I payed my $10 cover and went into an empty bar. No one was there for the next 15 minutes. the DJ was nowhere to be seen either so Im not sure what he was setting up. I decided to use the mens bathroom at the beginning of the night and noticed it smelled as if it hadnt been cleaned since the night before...like dry piss to be exact. After a couple of drinks, I went to use the mens bathroom again which was covered in vomit. With the bottom of my shoes covered in throw up, the bathroom attendant wanted me to tip him for squirting soap in my hand. Cant do it. On my way out, i told the hostess about the vomit and she said I dont even know who I would tell about that - maybe the manager?!? Seems like a logical first step. Oh wait...he was too busy admitting strings of girls into the club for no charge, so much so that he pushed me out of the way to make room for a line of fresh meat. Why people think this is the best thing Boston has to offer is BEYOND me. Have some respect for yourself and the city, and avoid Storyville at all costs.

First time in a night club in Boston and had perfect hospitality at the door! But Then some rude bouncers inside.

Came in on a Wednesday night for one of the parties 6one7 promotes. You can RSVP before 10pm to get free admission otherwise it is $20 to get in. While that seems steep for a Wednesday this place gets really busy and looks like any other clubs Friday or Saturday night does. Drinks seem to run in the $10 - $12 dollar range. The music was great, a mix of hip hop, electronic, with some international stuff mixed in. Overall a great crowd, good service, and music. Next time I have a Thursday off from work I would return.

Listed in a search for jazz clubs, but its a hip hop dance club on Saturday night. Call ahead.

Worst place ever ! Don’t even waste your time. Crowded to a point that there’s no space to even take a step. Also i don’t even know if this club is 18 + or 21+ because the whole damm place had a bunch of kids that didn’t even look 20. I felt like I was in a daycare and I’m only 23 years old. After one drink, all those kids were looking for trouble (fighting,etc..). Staff was ridiculously rude.

Storeyville can be hit or miss. It often starts out pretty slow, but usually gets going a few hours in. One of the cool features is that each room/hangout area is different. The dancing wound up being better than I expected

Not the best club in Boston, but certainly is fun - I have a lot of respect for nightclub bartenders especially and they did their best to keep up with the crowds; the music is good as well. I would return and plan on it.

The free cover for both guys and girls before 11pm is nice. However, the drinks are expensive (eg. $10+ per shot) and weak. The music is fine and the place is usually popping.

Just your average club it was what I expected it to be the cover charge is ridiculous tons of other clubs do no cover before 11pm and this place is a $20 dollar cover on top of drinks at your average price for a boston club a ton of scantally clad woman looking for hook ups 90% hip hop/rap 10% reggaeton also if your with a group of guys watch out theyll deny you entry and for this reason I could give it a 1 star rating but will give my rating on the experience I had not could of had also lots of girls and girl groups got kicked out dont know why but thought there would have been more guys thrown out and will never come back again because of this experience not worth the $20 cover could have gone to royale for free and spent the $20 on 2 drinks there

Went here for a bachelorette party and my friend inquired about getting table service for us. They werent particularly nice about it and she questioned the manager when she came by. My friend was tipsy but not at all belligerent or troublesome. The manager, when she realized my friend was arguing (peaceably) with her about getting table service, called security to forcibly escort her out. I said we would take her out and there was no need to grab her as she wasnt causing anyone any harm, and security got upset and said theyd force me out too if we didnt get out. They continued to take my petite friend out with force. I cant recall ever being treated so poorly and there was absolutely no cause for it.

Went here on Halloween , pre purchased a ticket for the event and then had to wait over an hour to get in...dont sell tickets for an event over capacity and then let people without tickets in. Really simple concept. I like the atmosphere but the bouncers sucked.

Terrible experience. I arrived at 12:00 a.m. and he did not let us in for no reason. He said it was closed but he let them all in and did not leave some people.

Came here for drinks on a Saturday night. They have recently started charging a $15 cover before 11 so beware if you are use to going to this place for free. The space is divided into two rooms, a main room with dance floor which typically plays EDM, Top 40, Pop ect. They have a smaller side room which typically plays hip hop and throwbacks. The drinks are pricey but on par with most clubs/lounges in Boston.

Wednesday night is great at Storyville. The two djs rock the house for sure. Free before 11:30 on eventbrite.

Very unprofessional and I urge patrons looking for a good night out to choose another club.One bouncer ruined the experience for me and the management was completely unresponsive the next days. I was violently pushed and talked down to by a bouncer as I waited outside too close to the ropes. I was sober and asked the bouncer for an apology but was rejected and shunned. I felt hurt and embarrassed and never received a response from the management/owner team which reflects the attitude it has on its patrons.Better places than this for a night out in Boston.

Establishment turned away people of color and blatantly said they did not want their “brown money”..... if I could give this place 0 stars I would. No class.

Had table service here the other night, not impressed. I did like that there was no cover but the bathrooms and drinks were lacking. I wasnt a fan of the space setup or the music. The crowd was a weird mix of young and guys in their thirties. In the end, it just was not very fun

Had to deal with belligerent people out front while I was waiting to get in and the DJ was maybe mediocre: his transitions were choppy and overloaded with effects, and his song choice was meh.

Had a good time, but was do crowded and made it very difficult to get drinks easily.

Joke of an establishment. This place should go out of business and the space should be used for something else. Disgusting bottlegirls, rude harassing bouncers, desperate crowd trying to get laid. Awful awful place.

Old-school cocktails are the highlight at this classy (yet trashy?) Back Bay dance-club/lounge. The setting/vibe is seductive (which lures the gorgeous women in tiny dresses, and older-dudes with fedoras) – with tufted-leather banquettes, flocked wallpaper, atmospheric lighting, and plenty of dancing (imagine a Sel De La Terre, Island Creek Oyster Bar, and Lolita mashup). Highlights: Sazerac, Live-Music/DJs, $0 Cover.

It doesnt get crowed until after Sam smh!
