Interesting historical spot. Not sure if one can enter, but certainly would be nice to see the inside...otherwise it is a nice spot and not far from Carson Beach, so make it a stroll around the area and beach.

Beautiful piece of history! The caretaker for the house, Barbara, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Im so happy to finally be able to check this off of my bucket list! :)

Ante-independence charmer. Not open during the Covid-era, but you can do a drive-by on Pond Street where the entrance really is. You can walk by after you stare at the Clapp Pear near 7-11, and bypass that blowhard Edward Everett who used to live across the street. Park near DBCo and walk off your stupor past the Blake House down Cottage Street and take in the large Victorian triple deckers in various stages of repair, remodel, and repurposing, some with kitschy statues and politically motivated signage.

Its alright... Not much else happening in the area. House is pretty unassuming which is part of the charm. Got some cool looking diamonds patterned stained glass windows.

One of the oldest houses in Boston - now, a mini museum. On days they open, for a little fee you can go inside and learn about its history and how it got moved to Dorchester from its original location. I believe, its only open during the warm months.

Bostons oldest house! Built in 1661, the Blake House is one of a relatively small number of its type - the post-Medieval, timber-frame house - surviving anywhere in New England. One of Dorchesters many hidden gems!
