LOVE this place! Weve done every game available so far and theyre all great! The last time we visited with our friends who had never done an escape room before and played The Institute. Our host, Erin, was awesome and did a great job explaining how the game works and getting us ready to play! If youre looking for something fun to do in Boston with a small group of people (especially right now during the pandemic), this place is fun, clean, and safe! Highly recommended!

One of the best escape rooms we have been too. It was also the first one we didnt solve but that didnt take away from how much fun we had. Attention to detail and very engaging. Also following all covid 19 restrictions. Highly recommend!

We had a great time. The room was awesome. Just when you thought you were close to being done, another door opens. The Game Master Rachel was awesome and helped us when we were stuck. Highly recommend for a night out of 5-9 people.

We had a great time exploring the Boston Common and Public Gardens while solving puzzles and riddles along the way. It was a perfect outdoor adventure. The game is well organized and there are clues if you get stuck! Our host, Mike, prepared us well for our adventure and had a great sense of humor. We will definitely be back to try our luck again!

Their rooms are so well done and thought out! They have now 5 rooms and they design in-house so you know a lot of care is put into their build outs. The rooms are definitely challenging, but their puzzles make sense and are on theme. The staff is super friendly and helpful. To top it off, theyre in a great location with amazing views of the Common. If youre looking to do an escape room in Boston, make sure to check them out!

Trapology Boston was amazing. Erin was our host and she was warm and fun. We had the best time and felt totally safe with the procedures they had put in based on Covid. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.

Very fun experience! Great to be able to do something fun while keeping it to your own group of people only. This covid is limiting our options indoors and I definitely recommend Trapology for a fun time!! Trapology Escape rooms are the best. Complex and creative. Staff is fully engaged and make the experience more entertaining. We love that your party only is allowed to be in the room due to COVID. Makes the experience so much better in our opinion. Top notch. Can’t wait to return.

Trapology was a fantastic experience. We did the submarine room with a group of 7, and we had a blast. Our host, Erin, was fun energetic and really added to the amazing experience. No doubt, we will be going back for another escape room experience.

This was my first time doing an escape room and it was really cool. I appreciate how much detail they really put into our escape room and I was creeped out the whole time as we looked for clues in our purposefully creepy escape room. And the end was just gory and awesome. I love how thought provoking the whole thing was. And I love the photo booth picture at the end. We went out to celebrate a friends birthday and we all just really enjoyed it. Thank you Trapology Boston.

This is easily the best escape room I have been to (and I have been to escape games in 4 different states)! Puzzles are mentally challenging but make sense, and room mechanics are properly designed so that they are intuitive when you solve them. The room decoration is amazing and immerses you into the plot. We went back and did all of the available rooms, so my only complain now is that they need to get new rooms available faster.Our game master, Erin, was extremely helpful, friendly, and engaging. Cant recommend this place enough.

We’ve been to Trapology a few times. The website is very clear and organized. The environment is unlike any other. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are FANTASTIC and always amaze me with the creativity it takes to come up with some of the puzzles. Rachel was our game master and she was absolutely fantastic. She took her time, she was caring, and she had our best interest of having fun in mind. Thank you Rachel!!!! :)

Went on 9/16/2020 and completed the Drunk Tank room. It was SO fun and my friends and I will definitely be going back to try another room! I felt safe being there during COVID-19, they did a really good job of keeping the place sanitized and we were the only other people in the building aside from our instructor/guide, Karen (who was awesome!!). I DEFINITELY recommend going! :)

Magic Portal (outdoor ‘escape room’) was an excellent Saturday afternoon activity for a small group of friends! The staff are super friendly and set up was very quick.

Honestly the best escape the room experience I’ve ever had in Boston. The staff and the game master is really nice and professional. They have various theme and really fun for all different setting. Strongly recommend for the group of friends, family setting and team building. During this sensitive time, they are very professional and careful about the hygiene and keep the space clean and safe for everyone to use. Definitely recommend for everyone and will definitely be back for more rooms.

Had the best time doing “The Retreat” with my parents while they visited Boston. Rachel explained they game and scenario very well and was great at “helping” us along in the game. Would highly recommend people come here for a wonderful time. It’s an ideal way to have safe fun in the world of covid.

Just did the Crush Deep room with the fam and it was great! The aesthetic of the room really matched the theme. The puzzles were challenging but fun and satisfying to solve. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely planning to come back again!

We had a great time! We did the Hustler room. It was challenging but fun. I thought it was cool and unique that our group started separated but eventually met up. The staff member John was so nice and made sure we had a great experience.

The room was very fun, engaging, and the right level of difficult to keep us working but not discouraged. The game master really added to the experience by providing fun and helpful commentary as well as needed jokes when we veered off track. I would definitely come back to play again!

We did the coffee shop room during COVID. And I can’t say enough how clean and through Trapology was. From entering to being in the room our whole crew was beyond impressed.HUGE shoutout to Kevin! Hands down the best escape room company I have visited. The quality of the rooms, ingenuity and creativity of the puzzles alongside the use of hidden tech is pretty impressive. If you are looking for a challenging and amazing experience with friends/family, this has to be at the top of the list. The staff, every time I have visited, has been helpful, super attentive and friendly to a level you usually don’t expect from escape room places. Overall the best one in the Boston area and from the ones I’ve been to in other cities, trapology is way ahead of the curve.Good job to everyone!

My girlfriend and I went once for our anniversary weekend, we loved it so much we booked another game for the next night. We played “The Retreat” and “Boobytrap”. Both were super fun and challenging. John made the experience incredible and we will definitely be coming back and telling our friends!

This place is great! I did all their rooms and had so much fun in every single one. You can tell they work hard on their puzzles and the staff is so helpful especially Allie & John. It is a very clean establishment with a great view of the Boston Common. Definitely cant wait until they open their new game and see what is in store for that room!

Trapology Boston is amazing. The room was amazingly complex and intriguing. Erin, our host, was interactive, helpful, and funny. Your group is the only one allowed in the room, masks are required, sanitizer provided, and each room is cleaned and sanitized after each game. Absolutely a fun and COVID safe experience!

We just did an escape room here today, and it was great! Everything was super fun and I’d highly recommend it. Erin was a great game master and she made it very enjoyable.

I had arranged a small group outing at Trapology. First of all, their website is excellent and explains the idea of Trapology and the ease of scheduling a small group could not have been easier. We all arrived on time and spent the whole excursion (and it really feels like an excursion) using our brains and having fun. I am so happy to see they are back open and feel this is very safe and clean. I won’t give too much away (this is a problem solving/puzzlepalooza extravaganza experience) and we all can’t wait to go back. Also masks are a really important and really an easy thing to wear. If you are reading this and we are still in the pandemic please make sure to. MASK UP.

It is very fun and plus they clean before you arrive so you dont have to worry about sanitation. Also Erin one of the employees there was very nice and helped me out on my date.

Me and one other person did The Retreat and had an amazing time. In terms of covid, they sanitized the room beforehand, had sanitizer ready for us to use, and has masks on the entire time. In terms of the room, it was a lot of fun, a little spooky, and was perfectly engaging. Our moderator was Jake, and he was very helpful and kind. Would def go back again soon

A group of friends and I went to Trapology Boston for my 30th birthday weekend. A group of 10 completed “The Drunk Tank” and had a blast! Rachel was an amazing host and was super supportive! My group and I loved our time. Will be coming back!

It was great to get back to Trapology! The Retreat (the fourth room Ive done now) was very well organized, immersive, and had a great array of puzzles. The new policies made us feel like everything was clean, safe, and well-separated for distancing.

This was so much fun! The game set design was very immersive! I was laughing so much! Also, some of the puzzles were just so clever!! For real, though, this was a LOT of fun! I wanna do all of the games now!

This place is awesome. The quality of the puzzles and props is much better than what we experienced at other places. The puzzles logically led the way to the escape. We did two on the same day and were lucky to have Rachel as our Game Master for both. She made it really fun and helped us just the right amount. Keep up the good work.

My friends and I did a room on Sunday and it was extremely fun and stimulating. I was with a pretty big group and we all agreed we would love to go back and try the other rooms. The place is unique compared to other escape rooms I’ve been to and the staff was accommodating. Our game keeper, Kevin, was helpful and funny. He made us feel so much better about not completing the challenge and was very knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back!

Trapology is a fantastic escape room venue in downtown Boston. The puzzles are pretty darn good - most can be solved without unreasonable leaps of logic, and the rooms are thematic and well designed. A few rooms that Ive done (no spoilers ahead) involving a separated team as well as handcuffing team members was unique, though not necessarily beneficial to the experience. Regardless, these design choices worked with the theme and gave us some good laughs.Will gladly continue to try rooms here.

John was our host and did a really great job explaining everything to us and getting us situated. We would definitely go back for the experience.

This morning our team played The Boobie Trap! Our Game Master and In Room Actor Dora was phenomenal! The she had the perfect attitude for the roll she played. The back and for that you were allowed with her made the experience very unique. Very nicely done Dora! Additionally, the room was phenomenal! If you’re in the area definitely stop and play!

I fully enjoyed my time doing an escape room here. Alex was a great gamemaster! I came with a group of 6 people. We did a room for 10 and 2 other couples we didnt know joined us, making a group of 10. With that being said. It was the coolest experience I had with a bunch of strangers. The teamwork was great among us despite the fact we hardly knew a bunch of them. The puzzles were difficult but not so difficult that its impossible. That just adds to the fun in my opinion. Basically it was challenging without being frustrating. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I definitely want to go back!

We Played the hustler, very small rooms, enormous tiny.It wasnt just like a game you had to open boxes all the time and look for keys, without fun and excitement. So confusing.I dont recommend it at all. :(

Awesome time - our group did the “Crush Depth” room and came close to escaping, but sadly did not make it out. As a first-timer, I was relieved to learn the stakes of this game were not quite as high as expected - we were in fact allowed to leave if the puzzle was unsolved despite the ghost voice/guide warning us that we would be forever trapped. This was a major relief and explained why my friends didn’t share my sense of urgency.Overall, a very fun experience and our guide, Dora, was fantastic! Would highly recommend to anyone as a first-time escape room (despite the higher difficulty) or if you’ve done them before and are looking for something more challenging.

Went for a bachelor/bachelorette party! It was my first escape room--I havent really been too keen on going to one in the past. But after this one, I am so down to go to more. Kevin made the whole experience fun and comfortable for all of us! Hes awesome.

Ive done 4 or 5 escape rooms here over the years and theyve all been excellent. In fact, were going to another pop-up one here this weekend. I highly recommend this location. Also, Patrick was our last escape room host, and he was great!
