My family just completed a 4 night stay at the park. It was a great base camp for us to explore the area and go to the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Even when I had many questions, they always took the time to answer and had great attitudes. Thank you all! We will definitely be returning.

My family and I genuinely enjoyed our time here. Its a clean nice park, no bums, no Del Cerro moms blathering on their phones. Great sidewalk for scooters. Playground is varied and stimulating. Grass is of good stock and length. Bathrooms are cleaner than mine. All in all the only downside is its so far south.

But this campground Will take you away for awhile. But dont take my word. Ask the Ranger at the entrance if you can drive and look around like i did. Note: my pictures will not show RV spots. The pure nature of this place is simply magical. First off, the scenery is astounding. The view of the lake (Sweetwater reservoir) is amazing the blueness, so deep, so rich, the protected land of which this beauty was created suppress reality and open a new world of imagination. You can fish here for a small fee or just walk around the trail and explore to you hearts content. From a camping perspective the lots seem comfortable enough though I do not have personal experience with them. The staff is extremely nice and they are passionate about protecting the land. The wildlife is unique to say the least. With the seemingly never falling birds, speckling the sky. Overall the park is just pure nature. Whenever I go I feel alive as if enchanted by the beauty of my surroundings.

Location and scenery were great. Was clean and the price is lower then most other parks. Bad thing is the park rangers are in everyons buisness always asking questions another con is you have to show current license and reg to get on groundsIf you dont have one you wont be driving into there campsite.Or if your tags are expired no go. So be prepared.or get turned around. Im not just talking about those things are.neefed to rent their space that also includes any and all visitors that just wanna say hi or drop something off. That place is absalutely anel about that Rule!!

Gorgeous, well kept park! The RV parking slots are quite secluded and private even though theyre so close together. Theybaccept all breeds of dogs so long as all animals are kept on leashes, but there is a $1/pet per day fee. The RV fee is very fair at $34/night with full hookups. Theres a play area for the kids, amphitheater, corrals for livestock and GORGEOUS views! I highly recommend and if we ever come back down, this is going to be where we stay.

It is worth it!We have never camped there, but they do have a camp ground available. Then theres a splash pad, which is awesome in the summertime. There is a playground, which is in itself pretty good. Then theres a whole series of exercise stations. My child calls it an obstacle course, which i guess it kind of is.All-in-all its a fantastic park that is almost always pretty empty. Highly recommend!

Big RV park. Clean and well maintained. Busy park with many full time folks as well as over nighters. Didnt give it 5 stars because of the non stop airplanes from huge San Diego international airport. As well as all the Military air craft. Major flight path also for many News stations. Lots of helicopters. Fun if you like to observe air craft. We stayed 2 weeks and eventually got used to it.

Very nice park to camp, large level and paved pads with full hookups, however I took off one-star because some of the most beautiful trails are only open Saturday through Monday, and its not very close to restaurants and other businesses if you need to do those types of things while youre camping. Nicely managed park with affordable campsites each with a splendid view. Blissfully peaceful sometimes if neighboring campers allow it. Some of greenest, softest grass I have seen and harkens Tom Jones’ song Green Green Grass of Home! Equine friendly park with horse trails and basic accommodations for your pet horse.Bathrooms are modern, sometimes cleaned, and are appointed with prison-grade accoutrements (e.g. cold hard steel commodes, etc). Showers have poor pressure (you’ll have to hug the tiled wall to wet your hair or wash your privates), cost 25¢/4”, and most private stalls are ‘out of order’.Trails are festooned with thorns so must wear cowboy boots or bring a horse.Nearby bike park looks like a blast and is busy busy on the weeknds! Lots of bmx kids conquering the pump trails.

Great amphitheatre and camping for RVs. Generous camping sites. Bathrooms were clean with good access. Garbage cans were spread out but not too bad. We stayed here for ten nights in our RV, with full hookups. It was the best price at $35 a night that we could find in San Diego. It’s a little far from the coast and the city, about 25-40 minutes depending on where you’re going. We found Bonita to be a nice safe area though and didn’t have any problems with theft despite the signs hanging around the park. The rangers were always friendly and helpful. Only thing we wish was easier to find would be a recycling bin, we just took our recycling to RePlanet at the closest Ralph’s. Showers were clean, $1.25 for ten minutes. No laundry on site- you will have to go to a laundry mat.

We stayed in the rv park for about 2 weeks and loved it! I believe it was $33/night for full hookups. Try to stay in the newer part of the park (sites 61-150) theyre paved and near the newer (way nicer) bathrooms. The showers are coin operated. The park has some awesome trails! Very beautiful park! This is the cheapest place I could find to stay with RV hook ups around San Diego. It was reasonably priced, which is the best thing about it. Also, the playground and splash pad is nice and there are some trails that are good for running. Also, the sites are pretty private which is also nice. However, its annoying that if anyone wants to come into the park to visit with you they have to pay an entry fee. Then there are the ANTS! The whole time we were there we were fighting off ants. We were still finding ants in our RV weeks later. Never had an ant in out RV once before being here. Also saw a rattle snake and several scorpions in camp. Plus, there is no access to the reservoir from here. You can see it, but you cant get close to it.
