We enjoy the walk around the lake and if you add the golf course wit the park it’s a lovely 5 mil walk.

Awesome place for a walk, bike, or horse ride. You can take a short one mile walk around the lake area or it connects with the entire Rohr Park area. The trails are wide with plenty of space. Reviews are very nice especially right now with all the flowers blooming. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. There are even picnic spots available and benches to sit and look at the lake.

Trash everywhere and the homeless have taken it over. Cant stray off the main path or you stumble into someones makeshift home. Go somewhere else.

Awesome location with so much to offer. Right in the heart of Bonita and there is so much to do here with endless opportunity to hike, mountain bike and even ride a horse. You can go all the way to San Diego Bay from here or up go inland to San Miguel mountain but riding a horse youre limited to Bonita up to San Miguel mountain. The lake is beautiful and takes about 15-20 min to walk around and its one of my favorite places to do photo shoots here in the South Bay.

Love coming here and enjoying Morrison Pond and the ample walking trails. You never know what you will find here. There could be a horse themed birthday party, a haunted trail hosted by the Spring Valley Recreation Center or completely peace and quite and an abundance of wildflowers and wildlife. A beautiful place to come to enjoy nature!

Nice easy trails. Crowded at the golf course, but most others nearly empty. A very peaceful walking area. Area covers from Bonita golf course to Sweetwater Summit campground, and beyond Sweetwater Lake.

This park is an Open Space Preserve where one can walk, run, or bike on trails that encircle the area. Nice, quiet, & not crowded where one can relax & enjoy nature with a pond (Morrissons Pond) nearby.

Went on a Canyoneer tour of the Natural history museum. The first part of the hike was little boring but saw interesting trees and vegetation. The view from the upper elevation is beautiful. We saw the Sweetwater dam, Mount Miguel etc. Nice place to visit on a lazy weekend but would not go out of the way to come here!

I like this park very much. Even though there are a lot of RVs here, the layout gives you room and a sense of privacy. The hikes from camp are terrific and vary in degrees of challenge. The bathrooms are sparkling. The only downside is that the park is not convenient to town or a market, requiring a lengthy drive to resupply.
