Great place for a walk with the family. The natural playground is very unique.

Amazing park. I come here was my wife almost every week to walk around. The hidden Lakes is a very beautiful nature area. It is very well maintained and is always free of garbage or later. I wish it was closer so I can come here more often. The parking is very spacious and the trails are wide and good for long walks. There is also good fishing now although they do have some pretty strict restrictions on fishing.

Looking for something free to do? Go explore the land at Hidden Oaks. Great paths for hiking & can usually see some type of wildlife. Inside you can learn more information about native plants and animals here in IL. Also inside, see the turtles, snakes, and lizard.Go explore down the hill to Hidden Lakes to find more paths which can also lead you to Whalen Lake. So much to do in that area. Pack a picnic and explore your day away.For those with kids, Hidden Oaks also offers many educational classes for youth and adults. I highly recommend checking into the preschool program.

My son and I are taking an archery class here and having a blast. The teacher is good with kids and adults alike. After lessons we like to stick around a while and walk the trails or just let him and his siblings run around in the play area. Its always a good time when kids get to do something outside and enjoy nature.

Total hidden gem. Ive lived in the area forever and never knew about it. Definitely telling dad about the historic trout farm. Nice trails, and pretty quiet even around 5:30pm.

First time here for a hike on my own. Walked part of the trial and it was nice, quiet and clean. Highly recommended.

Very good park for walking

I love being around nature. Its the only place that I can come by and relax without having to worry about work, life, etc. Also helps with some nice music that I happen to play to soothe my spirit, heart, and soul. I love any place that has mother nature in it and that its open to the public.

Beautiful outdoor play area, short hike down to lake. Great place for families. A few animals inside to view, turtles, tortoise, spider. We love their homeschool programs. Had a sub par and weird experience with their birthday party so wont be doing that again but we love this place overall.

Saw a group of deer it was great!! So pretty they were just walking around. Not really afraid to be around us or anything

Great place to walk around with your dogs and for some great scenery. Make sure to walk all the trails back there they are great.

People really believe they can come and pick the fruits of other peoples labor. What a joke... better signage is needed to discourage the lazy people who figure they are entitled to things others worked hard for. Truly sad

Absolutely top notch pre-school program. The center is very cool with friendly and helpful staff. Lots of hiking to do there too!

We had a birthday party for my son here and we really enjoyed it. They have different party options and we chose the dinosaur party. A nature center employee played a game and gave the kids fun facts about dinosaurs. They got to paint fossils and also had an egg hunt in the facility for the kids. They then went outside to dig for dinosaur fossils. It was an enjoyable 2 hour party..

We had so much fun on our nature walk with Eco Tots. Thanks for a wonderful time. One of the hinges I would love to see is a butterfly garden. Just went to one with my son and he loved it!!!

Great place for families to visit. Nice little indoor nature center with some live animals. Outdoor area has trails, and outdoor “park” made of natural items.

Beautiful!

Six of us walked along trails through the woods and along the pond shores and lake shore. The youngest of us was two years old, the oldest, 69. One of us knew many plant names. We had a marvelous ramble through the Area.

Nature center a perfect place for young kids to explore

Informative little museum on the inside, and a great set of trails around the center. Ask politely and youll be allowed to go on the vegetated roof! They sell fresh honey during the season and have a sweet playground in the woods that is shared with Camp Kata Kani next door. Interesting art installations are all around the trails, and parking is easy to access. Fully handicap accessible. Picnic benches and a large glen are just in the back, and its accessible either from the road access (off of Boughton) or a small hike up via trail access (DuPage River Trail, just before the Trout Farm).

This is a very nice building and surrounding grounds. The building houses a Nature Center with hands-on discovery filled with interactive exhibits. There is a roof-top garden to picnic or surf the web with the FREE wi-fi. Sometimes I attempt to ride my bike up the path from Hidden Lakes to here. Its very steep and strune with leaves and twigs on the dirt path so riding is difficult at best. But its fun to try.
