This review is for specifically the High Noon room.My wife and I are reasonably experienced escape room addicts (having done and escaped from over 20+ rooms, many of which were done as a duo). This particular room we just attempted, and after failing to complete it, I feel compelled to say that it is honestly a poorly designed room. Aesthetically, it was good, but the sheer number of puzzles to solve were absolutely ridiculous. Between the number of objects to find, keys to find, and number combinations, and puzzles to solve, we completed at least 25 different tasks in the room, and we didnt even come close to finishing. In our experience, most escape rooms have around 15-25 tasks TOTAL to solve to complete the room, this one was probably in the 30+ range. At least 3 different puzzles were mechanically broken to the point that the game master had to enter the room to give us the object and/or information that we would have gotten. The Morse code puzzle was very touchy, didnt like how long I held the dashes for (resulting in a ton of failed attempts due to the wrong resultant letter), and took way too much time to input, making experimenting with it a massive waste of time. In the end, we were shown how much of the room was left to solve, and my jaw hit the floor (to avoid spoilers, Ill simply say we didnt even come close). Ill say this flat out: There is NO way to complete this room in 1 hour. I have my doubts that the room could be completed in under 45min even with unlimited hints.But perhaps the most frustrating part of my experience was the attitude of our game master. His touting of the room being hard or Ive only seen one group actually complete the room was extremely frustrating and honestly made me even more upset that we failed. For starters, that escape rate is ridiculously low, and should tell you that there is something wrong with the room design. Additional comments from our game master saying you guys were really close, and then revealing how much of the room was remained to be solved left me frustrated to the point that I lost my cool and started cussing (sorry about that). My frustrations about the broken puzzles were met with nonchalance, and a comment about how he stopped the timer when he was in the room with us, but dismissed the fact that we lost a ton of time fiddling with the broken puzzles. The few seconds the timer was stopped when he was in the room did not make up for this lost time.All in all, dont bother with this room unless you like broken puzzles and far too many to be reasonably done in the time allotted.

A fantastic combination of wit, fun, and challenge combined in an amazing Western theme package. Blazing Saddles? Mongo is coming for you. Back to the Future Part 3? We better escape before we miss our train, Doc! Needless to say I had a lot of fun just walking into the Saloon.Hands down one of the most engaging rooms that utilizes all players and requires team work to beat and escape. Ive been through many rooms throughout the country and this one was the most engaging. Highly recommended for families, co-workers, teammates or whoever else you can find! Meet ups, anyone?If youre not into puzzles or mystery, thats ok because you are granted several clues. The hour flies by very fast. Just go do it! Its easy and you can do it online. Book early if you can because walk ins have been signing up on the spot.Its at the Promenade mall so hit up some eats before or after.

If you want to have a fantastic escape room experience, stop in here. All of their rooms are phenomenally designed, and look fantastic.Their staff is incredibly friendly, and they offer many options for community engagement. Scouting discounts and packages, corporate packages, and great rooms.After 94 rooms I think this location has earned its place in my top 5.Fantastic conversation with fellow enthusiasts.

A really fun time. Definitely a positive experience when you finish, and you immediately want to try another. Definitely makes you think. Staff were friendly and inviting and there isnt anything to complain about. Well worth it. Id highly recommend trying them out.

We did the Christmas Cookie Caper room with our kids (3, 5, and 7). We all had a great time! It was challenging but enjoyable for all ages. The staff were very helpful with explaining the rules and objectives to the kids. We cant wait to go again!

We had a great time at Escape hOUR Room! Brian was so wonderful to work with and helped us plan our larger group gathering. This was a great activity for our family- kept everyone entertained from young kids to adults. We will definitely be back!

We had so much fun! We did the family friendly Christmas Cookie Caper with our 3 and 6 year olds. Both had so much fun! My 6 year old loved the experience so much that he wanted to go back as soon as we stepped out the door!

My friends and I had an amazing time ! The staff was welcoming patient and super funny We would totally recommend this to all our friends and do it again. The staff was amazing especially Conner, the rooms where very detailed and fun to do!! We are coming back to do more of these for are birthdays and celebrations totally recommending this to others and this was definitely the best escape room we have been too

Would definitely recommend, best escape room we have been to and will be coming back to play the other room and hopefully more rooms in the future!

We really enjoyed High Noon! It was a challenging and creative room. There were many puzzles we had not seen before, and since we have already done so many rooms, this was refreshing. I highly recommend this room, but be sure to have at least four people in your group because there is a lot to do in the room for just two people. I am really looking forward to going back to do their other room, Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

My husband and I just played Unsportsmanlike Conduct. It was very fun!!! The room was filled with unguessable surprises ..which means a great deal since we have done over 30 escape rooms. Carmen was a wonderful game master! Thank Greg and team for a terrific escape room and a fun time!

We first went to Escape the Room in Oakbrook and were very disappointed in the room. Some stuff didn’t work! We came to Escape Hour Room in Bolingbrook and had a BLAST! We did High Noon and got out! Awesome challenges and puzzles, fun and friendly staff too. We will for sure be back for all the other rooms!

Completed both rooms on the same day - I wish they had more! All the employees were great. Both rooms were purposefully thought through. If you dislike a room because of red herrings or clutter, you wont find it here. Completing over 70 rooms, I really enjoyed Unsportsmanlike Conduct because the sports theme isnt widely used and so that made it unique. Both rooms were fun and well designed, made you feel like you were actually in a saloon or locker room!

We actually did the first room and had so much fun that we came back to do the second room. We are waiting for them to start the next room so we can come back and enjoy it again. Friendly staff. Fun. Loved your place. Will be back in June. Hopefully, youll have a new room for the team cant count to try. ;)

We did the western room and it was a lot of fun. Very well themed. The puzzles were fun and creative. Some puzzles I haven’t seen before. The entire staff was friendly and made sure we had a fun time. Defiantly recommend this place. Great job guys! We will defiantly be back for more.

Their High Noon Room was easily the best escape room Ive ever done. They built everything by hand, and the entire room is self-contained and operates mechanically (no magic cause-effects from someone outside the room pressing a button). The clues and solutions are brilliant, and the ambiance is spot-on. Highly recommend it compared to other rooms Ive done.

Our first ever experience was this morning with the High Noon Room - while we didnt escape, it didnt matter. The staff was beyond amazing, the room was challenging, but we didnt feel defeated . We left and went to lunch and we talked about the room so much, that we headed right back and signed up for the Unsportsmanlike Conduct Room...which we successfully escaped from. Again, the staff respects you enough to immerse in the game and enjoy the experience, while offering nudges, if needed, and clues if you desire (3 come with each room). Fun is encouraged, and we never once felt rushed, stressed, or upset. They told us that a 3rd room is coming the future, and CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT!! Great time, great experience, wonderful staff, highly recommend.

Did we escape? No, but had so much fun trying! The Locker Room theme was perfect for our team of six. We had another six in the other room and the staff managed our corporate team building event very well. The exploration throughout the space has a nice blend of technology and physical object interaction. The scenarios are challenging and foster collaboration, with many unexpected surprises, adding to the exceptional experience. The location at the outdoor mall is ideal to grab a team lunch after attempting to escape.

My friends and i had an amazing time. we did the wild west room and had a blast. we loved the snake and our room operator, Connor. our group didn’t escape so connor came into the room and showed us how to. we recommend this establishment and our man connor to everyone we know. he was very nice to us and was hilarious. i would definitely come back and do another room. make sure to drop connors insta

Top notch escape room experience! My wife and I are fairly experienced with escape rooms (weve done maybe 30 spanning multiple cities), and the atmosphere here was in my top 5. We did the High Noon room, which was advertised as their hardest, and it lived up to the challenge. The puzzles themselves were not super difficult, and most were fairly intuitive, but there were a LOT of them. And a lot of hidden keys and items to discover about the room. I love rooms with a heavy exploration factor!As mentioned, the theme and atmosphere were fantastic - you feel like youve stepped into an old west saloon. All of the props and puzzles were on theme, and even the hints given were signaled with a little Yee-haw! alarm sound. We didnt quite finish the room (wed brought a couple first-timers with us, and as mentioned, the room was very difficult), but we were one puzzle away, and the guy running the game was nice enough to break down the last puzzle so we could see what we would have needed to do if wed had time.We met the two proprietors as well as the employee who ran our room, and all of them were interesting and engaging. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who ran the room - his intro was very well narrated and he seemed to be having fun with it.I kind of hate to knock off a star, because I really did love the room, but there were two large downsides I feel compelled to comment on:American Style booking - this means you can get strangers in your room if you dont book all of the spots. Luckily the room we did only has a 6 person max, so we were fairly confident that with 4 of us nobody else would book the same spot (and they didnt). That said, this place could really use a better private booking option (flat fee for private bookings, or better yet, just increase price per person if less than max number are booked). I have seen the odd positive review of people playing with strangers, but by and large no group of players wants others there solving the puzzles for them. Most of the rooms along the west coast have picked up the private booking style - time for the midwest to adopt it also.Limited Number of Hints - You get 3 hints standard for this one, and a 4th if you check in on social media (which we did). I understand the rationale of limiting hint numbers (competing against other teams to get the best time), but most places have begun abandoning this practice, since most groups are only competing against themselves and dont care if they get their names on a leader board theyll never see. This is just my game design opinion, but given the single-use nature of escape rooms, it is detrimental to the fun of the game to limit hints. You actually want players to complete the room - it gives them a sense of accomplishment, and theyre more likely to want to come back for other rooms. If youre worried about leader boards, tell them they have 3 hints to be eligible for a leader board position, but if they just want to get hints to try to complete the room in time, they can request as many as they want.All that said, I still highly recommend Escape hOUR Room to anyone visiting the area! Just be aware of the booking style and take whatever precautions you deem necessary.

Best escape room we’ve been too. Great story, friendly people, much different from any other room. Overall a lot of fun and it’s already in the mall so it’s perfect to get food afterwards.

We did the locker room one and it was pretty cool. I think it was the newer of the two so it may still need some fine tuning but I didnt notice. This was my first escape room experience. I look forward to coming back to try the others

Very fun puzzles and props, they limit their games to 6 which prevents overcrowding . Just overall very well done. Out of my 50+ rooms, this was one of the very best ones.
