I moved to Lazy Acres several months ago and I am happy we made the choice. People are friendly and we have potluck dinners once a month. Its nice getting to know new people our age. Tim runs a tight ship here, and that is why it remains so nice. He has been so helpful and I always enjoy seeing him.

The property is really nice as it should be for senior citizens. I have a few problems with the management though. He is so concerned about his fish pond that he will not put any ice melter on the sidewalks when they are icy and as a resident you are not allowed to put any out either. It is pretty pitiful that elderly people are confined to their house because of this issue during the icy season. There is no attempt made to make the sidewalks safe for elderly people during the winter. If you have a deck or shed and his people come by to mow they take no consideration to the wood and finish on your structure and they weed eat it without even trying not to damage anything and then they will send you a letter telling you to paint the same wood that his people have stripped. If you have company and they park on the street and their vehicle drips any oil on the street you have to go out and clean it up with kitty litter and sweep it all up. You cannot use any chemicals to help because it will possibly hurt his fish. The same holds true to power washing your house. No chemicals may be used ever. When you have anything done to your place he has to approve it and in most cases requires the work be done by his crew so he can make money off of the job. Many of the residents are scared to death to do anything that may offend Tim in fear of being told they have to move. I do understand older people tend to worry more than they need to but when it comes to where you live it may be a bit taxing on their health. Getting those letters from them can put an elderly person in a state. When it rains some of the lawns hold water and become a swamp due to poor drainage. Be sure and check out the lawn where you want to move and make sure it has good drainage. They also have a problem with Canadian Geese taking over the area. They may seen cute and pretty but they can be very loud and mean. The place is really nice and for the most part well maintained except during winter months. If you plan to move here remember it all belongs to them and at any time they can make it worrisome to live there.

My grandma lived there for years and the community is nice and the neighbors were friendly but I heard nothing but nightmares about the landlord Tim. Or whatever he is. Sounds to me like a bitter guy that is on some sort of strange power trip. Would not recommend it based on that alone.

My grandma has been a resident here for quite a few years and we have really appreciated all of the friendships she has garnered over the years.
