We arrived mid afternoon. The reflection on the lake was beautiful. There was a small group of ducks, that walked right up to us. There is a trail that loops all the way around the lake. We hadnt planned to do that, but it was an easy walk. There are benches, and docks to stop at for a rest or to just enjoy the peacefulness. It was a fairly busy place, so be sure and mask up.

Fish, Hike, Run, Swim - Lake Padden Park is one of the best outdoor recreation spots in Bellingham, especially because of its convenient location. The Park is always clean and well kept, not to mention is a fantastic place to bring your family in any weather. The lake is always stunning, the tress are full of vibrant colors(especially in the fall months), and the fishing is great in season. Lake Padden also has a maintained trail that goes all the way around the lake, perfect for casual runs or serious training. You can also find tennis courts near the west entrance, if thats what youre looking for. The park itself has several entrances, a golf course and driving range, and several other amenities.

The trail was easy, but still gave a challenge. Path was extra wide enough for social distancing. So many beautiful views, and many areas for sitting or swimming. Its 2.6 miles around the lake, and your surrounded by old growth. I have physical problems, but i made it around the lake!

Lake Padden is an incredible place. Beautiful Lake and surroundings. With the number of people there, never felt crowded and people maintain safe distance from each other. Enjoyed trail around the lake, very serene and zen like. Mother nature is always gorgeous and fun to be with. Visual sights around the lake, very pleasing to the soul. For a happy, fun filled day, checkout Lake Padden.

I liked it. It was fun and I plan to go there again. Its easy to find sites to gather and it was fun to swim in the lake. I will say that at a certain point there are some tendrils of underwater plant life near the surface which I really hate but once you swim out further its fine. :)

Precious outdoor recreation south of Bellingham. The path around the lake in one of the best walking and running spots in the area. Just under 2.7mi but extensive network of paths in all directions offer unlimited types of trails and inclines. Swimming is great in the summer although lake has been struggling for a while with invasive species contamination. Great picnic tables and restroom facilities as well as off-leash dog park.

Its absolutely gorgeous! And its animal friendly, as long as there on a leash. It has a nice big trial so everyone can walk on it. You can ride your bike here, or bring your kayak or canoe here. Im not sure if your allowed to fish here. I dont see why not? But its a very beautiful, relaxing place to go to when you want to play or relax at. Also it has restrooms and even showers! I totally recommend this park to anyone & everyone who loves exploring new parks. I really enjoyed this place.

I love Lake Padden for triathlon training. The water typically gets warm enough for me to start swimming (in a wetsuit) by May each year. The algae has grown a bit more aggressively this year (not a fan), but I enjoy swimming in a lake without motorized boats! If you run the trail directly around the lake, its 2.5 miles. Some hill (more hills if you take any branch off trails) but great loop if you want to time yourself each lap! :-)

This is my favorite local park for bringing the doggie. There are plenty of off-leash trails and a large off-leash exercise area. The trails in general are great for those who dont want to commit to a day hike but still want to feel like they didnt just go for a walk. The signs posted all around the trails make it difficult to get lost. (Just remember which way you came from.) The signs also note the difficulty of each section of trail.Loads of picnic tables and space for sports-ball. It can get busy (which isnt great at the moment - WEAR A MASK!) but there is typically plenty of space if you are ok with finding a spot in the grass.

Such a gorgeous park. Stunning sparkly lake surrounded by huge beautiful trees. There is a great walking/running/biking trail all the way around the lake, its about a 45-minute walk at a fairly fast walking pace. The City of Bellingham really rocks the city parks and we appreciate them so much!

I love this lake. This is a small lake with peaceful atmosphere and clear water.I would say that this is a hidden spot since not so many tourists come here yet. We kayaked to the middle of the lake and looked around, we felt like we were in the middle of a circle and hugged by the water and trees. It was a laid back place where you can sit down and talk, or have a blast with the water, or kayak around the lake.If you wanted to rent the kayak, make sure you bring cash. They only accept cash.

I do so love the place.Couple thoughts about using it with a wheelchair or Walker. The sidewalks that are so rippled are unpassable for a wheelchair. Its great to be in a native forest but Big Leaf Maples near sidewalks mean both non passage for wheelchairs and maintenance issues. Its not easy but maybe with long term planning it could be helped.More bathrooms. Maybe a unisex pair by the boat launch?
