Spent time in the Cattail Marsh Wetlands, a wonderful bird sanctuary and environmental asset. Also the botanical garden. Thanks for providing a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors. We sure need it these days. Loved the painted picnic tables at the wetlands, a true art surprise.

It is huge & beautiful. Most of the land is golf course. One of the park goers said that the walking trail is 5 miles around. U can watch nature inside of this park, have a picnic, ride your bike. Bird watching, ducks & alligators are out there I was told. A must visit.

Beaumonts hidden treasure. I spent lots of time in the botanical gardens as a child, so I may have an inflated view of the place. Personal bias aside, this was the only place I wanted to go to take engagement photos. Its rare I go and dont run into a photographer snapping shots of a lovely couple or just the beautiful flora. This is also a great place for a picnic or just to calm the nerves.Beaumont tax-payers, get out and get your moneys worth. The gardens are beautiful, especially in fall and spring.

I have always loved visiting this park. I love coming here with my family to enjoy a walk around the park and look for wildlife to study. My grandfather would take me around to bird watch and wed find a variety of other animals such as interesting bugs, snakes, rabbits, and Gators. Its a great place for running, going with the family for a scenic stroll, bike riding, and even just for a peaceful walk through the park. Definitely a must-see for any tourists.

We were looking for someone to stretch our legs on our way from Texas to the Panhandle. It was a littke off the highway but worth it. They have a small park honoring first responders.this is one if the few places recognizing Canine first responders as well

It was a nice stop as the rains came on the way to the rookery at High Island. The center has what Id describe as a greenhouse converted into a lovely enclosed garden. They so packed many interesting features inside! There are winding walkways along the lush tropical vegetation, a reflection pool filled with fish, an arching bridge, a waterfall (yes, a waterfall!), a curly topped resident, a snarling cat and a very tall dinosaur!Benches are set throughout, inviting visitors to sit and listen to the waterfall while taking in the serene atmosphere.Outside, there are more walking paths to view roses and other blooming beauties.Yes, it was a pleasant stop.

I love the Cattail Marsh! Nice place to enjoy Mother Nature. Many freelance photographers can be found on the dock, capturing the various birds, which come and go with the changing seasons. Most people are friendly. A gentleman was kind enough to let my son and I peek through his binoculars to view two eagles and their nest! Depending on the season, gun shots may be heard from a distance, and of course the animals come and go. All in all, its a wonderful escape from the monotony of daily life. The indoor Botanical Gardens is always a humid pleasure too!
