My Daddy is laid to rest here. He served the United States Marine Corps 30 years. He was in Korean War, Viet Nam, and WWII. He’s honored 2 Purple Hearts and a Gold Star. He lost to COVID 19 at 91 years of age on March 23 2020. Lewis who runs the CEMETERY was extremely helpful in coordinating all of DADDYS Military Honors service. There’s just something about this place that brings your heart peace and serenity. Thank you to all our VETERANS this special day in Honor of your sacrifices ️

If you are planning to visit Beaufort South Carolina. I highly recommend visiting the Beaufort National Cemetery located on Boundary Street. I personally have visited the Beaufort National Cemetery on quite a few occasions. I have often visited on Memorial Day to pay my respects to the Military Veterans who paid the Ultimate Sacrifice for the United States Of America. The Beaufort National Cemetery is well looked after. It reminded me of Arlington National Cemetery but obviously on a smaller scale. If you love history or a Military History buff I recommend visiting here. Very Quite due to it being located off the main road into Beaufort. There are many events held here at the Cemetery through out the year. Be sure to check the local news outlets for information.

My son is there. Beautiful place. It is well maintained. The funeral was good. As good as one can be. The Color Guard was kind and respectful. Had plenty of time to spend, not rushed.

Beautifully laid out. Some people commented about the backs of graves. These are actually spouses/dependent who are buried with the veteran. It was an honor.

Beautiful resting place for my son. The grounds are well maintained and the ground staff is so polite. They are currently laying fresh sod in my sons section and it will look so nice when its all done.

A fitting resting place to honor our veterans. Final resting place of Ralph Henry Johnson, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. A beautiful and haunting cemetery.

My wife & I visited the Beaufort National Cemetery and found it very nicely laid out and well maintained. The custodian was very helpful. Because this is a military cemetery the graves are, of course, very uniform; however, on the back of many you can find some good quotes, such as Did it my way and Gone Fishing, as well as one which said Gone to Hell. G.I.s & soldiers have such a sense of humor, and I am for some the quote were not ones they chose - instead they were chose for them either randomly by some V.A. official, or family to best represent the soldier.Expect very hot and muggy conditions from late spring to late fall, and DO bring mosquito repellent as the beautiful live oaks pretty much stifle any breeze. Also take a wander outside the cemetery & patrol the perimeter to find some wonderful examples of old Southern architecture. Across the street facing the cemetery in a little neck of woods is another old cemetery, not very well maintained, if maintained at all. A civilian construction, it is well worth the photo hounds or gravestone rubbing enthusiast.

I sent my father flowers for fathers day and had the company take a photo and send to me. I was absolutely appaled by the condition of the grounds around his grave. Veterans buried at Beauford should get the same care as they receive at Arlington. Contact Senator Grahams office.

My wife and I visited the cemetery today to see the many wreaths laid by Wreathes Across America yesterday. It was a beautiful fall afternoon and the rows upon rows of past veterans was sobering. I served in the Army many years ago and both my father and my wifes father served in WWII.

Please be advised the cemetery is open 24/7 the hours of operation are limited to the staff if you come in during the week from 8 to 4:30 we can help you find gravesites if you come in on the weekend we have a electronic gravesite locator located in the back of the cemetery in the new areas. Another website to try is Nationwide gravesite locator , set the cemetery to your choice, and last name at least for looking up where the gravesites are at.

We really enjoyed our trip here. The grave finder was easy to use, the grounds are well kept and the history you find there is fascinating. Even being in the middle of Beaufort, the road noise didnt bother us at all.

My wifes father is laid to rest here and we are so proud of BNC for accepting his WWII honorable service with the US Army. Theres not many places in which a black man who served his country can rest in dignity and peace while being honored by his country. We loved him and miss him and may God continue to bless his soul. Thank you Lord for all our great land and National Cemeteries but especially the Beaufort National Cemetery.

I would like to first say that I think this National Cemetery is a peaceful place for our Fallen Heroes . But I do have a concern of why the National Cemetery is not flying our countries Flag at half mass to honor the five fallen brothers in Tn.
