Charming, informative museum with extensive displays about the history of whiskey, how its made, the bad old days of Prohibition and more. Very friendly and helpful staff. Two thumbs up for this place. The staff really give it a personal touch.

Simply outstanding! I applaud the staff here! Very respectful, clean experience. Please make a donation. And if you like pappy van Winkle, there having a raffle for for 5 bottles. Bottles 10,12,15,20,23 years old. This is until November 2, 2020

This is a great museum of whiskey. The exhibits are informative with many items from when whiskey began in the United States. One room has several moonshine stills that show how the farmer made whiskey.Make it a stop on your Bourbon Trail Journey. Its free or donate.

This place was gold if you are a history buff! The ladies there enjoy what they do and make the experience that much better. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. The museum itself has a lot of cool artifacts and a fun history of its own. Defiantly a must see while on the Bourbon Trail.

Very interesting museum. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There is free parking on premise, a section on Bardstown history and it is right beside a restaurant.The museum is self explanatory and has lots of educational literature around.

Visiting this museum is a must when you are in Bardstown. The director, Linda, gave us an enlightened tour. The whole experience was as wonderful as we expected. Every piece in exhibition reflects the history of Whiskey and the building well. I would recommend this place to everyone.

What a gem. We spent the weekend in Bardstown and decided to stop here between a couple tours. We must have walked around for almost 2 hours. The history and the displays are fantastic. Loved it.

Listing stated museum was open as well as signage on the doors. Unable to get in and when I called I did talk to an employee that was not working who told me they were closed.

If you havent been here lately this museum has a new director who has been updating whats on display. Its a great spot to learn about Bourbon, Prohibition, and local distilleries.

This place wasnt open when we went. We somehow were able to get inside though. When we did get inside there wasnt a soul to be seen and when we did finally run into someone they just told us that they werent open. Would like to go back next time we are down there and check it out.

A good self guided tour of many times containing a good variety of Bourbon related historical artifacts and pictures. It also has some war memorial items and artifacts from the time the building was a college.

Seems about every place in the city advertises hours of operation that are untrue. We came by at 3p, an hour before closing and your doors were locked (even with your open sign, Sunday til’ 4p on the door outside!).

Very cool and huge collection of Whiskey memorabilia. Historic one of a kind pieces like Lincolns liquor license, tons of old decanters, photos from the 20s etc. Friendly staff are happy to show you around and point out interesting pieces. Dont forget to pickup a $5 decanter or two from their collection.
