We stayed for a weekend at Miraval Austin in October 2020. The hotel is doing great job during pandemic to ensure guest safety. The rooms were clean and staffs and guests were wearing mask indoor all the time. Staff is very friendly and doing whatever they can to ensure guests have great experience. Food was great and freshly made. Deserts were highlight of our trip. Most activities are included. We did Yoga and meditation and loved both of these. We also did hike twice as it is not very long but great experience. In Spa, some services were limited due to Pandemic but massage was great. I would highly recommend this for someone trying to get short gateway but concern about safety.

I will start off with only the great things that I enjoyed about Miraval. I was greeted at the airport by Eric which I wish he would have carried my bag to the car for me but ok moving on great conversation and very engaging. When we pulled up to the resort I was greeted by Matt and a young lady that was training him(forgot her name) check-in and the tour of the property was wonderful. I decided to treat myself for my birthday and was given a upgrade room. Now for the room it was beautiful but that bed ....too soft I needed some firmness. The refrigerator was unplugged when I arrived and when I plugged it back in , I understood why someone unplugged it, it was loud. The food was acceptable. I have eaten healthy food before that was so flavorful and delicious ...so I would give it a 5 out of 10.Everything thing else was awesome from the staff at the spa to the instructors of all the classes that I took top notch.Would I recommend Miraval to my friends, yes I would and plan on have a girls trip hopefully soon.

High-class luxury resort located near Austin, TX. Rooms with individual patios, larger bathrooms, some with fire pits and outdoor showers. Two infinity pools, a spa, food/wine classes, and multiple activities (a variety from adventure courses to yoga); parking is included and the resort has a strict no-tipping policy. All food and drinks (minus alcohol) are included. Absolutely excellent staff (on par with Park Hyatt Tokyo), food was fantastic as well as healthy, and no children permitted (a plus in my opinion). Its a very adult resort for relaxation and reflection, or for a couple to escape on a romantic getaway. Two nights minimum recommended.

This was my 2nd trip to Miraval and I love it. The classes are wonderful and renewing, the food nutritious and tasty, the spa revitalizing and everything was clean and stringently following the COVID precautions. I love Miraval Austin. Staff was excellent and so nice. Great people.

Miraval Austin is the gold standard of wellness resorts. I could not have been any happier about my stay and its mainly because of the staff on the property. Britney, the hotel manager, went above and beyond to take care of me and my needs. She was very attentive and responsive! Shelby, the supervisor at the main restaurant, made every dining experience feel like i wasnt alone even when i was dining by myself. The chef deserves awards as every dish i had was michellin star level. Tim also helped me out with a few requests i had and always did it with a smile! Chiara and tony led a few of my activities and you can see the passion and love for what they do, and that made the experiences even more impactful. Lewis also led me through swing and a prayer with care. They had knowledge about interesting topics that i had no idea i would get out of! Kat, at the massage, gave me one of the best massages ive ever received. It was more body-work. She read my body and worked on the areas in which i needed the most care. Shes new please keep her! Cate in the stretch workouts came with so much energy and enthusiasm, i was able to enjoy and stay focused! The yoga with maria and another instructor was also very professional, high quality, and well thought thru. I felt like i got a lot out of it and it wasnt rushed or went to slow.I stayed here a year ago... and wasnt sure i would come back. The property has grown so much. Its beautiful, clean, and the heart of it is in the staff. I will be back and hope other people will be as well if they want to have a guaranteed insightful journey with assistance from beautiful souls.

I wanted to first state the positives about this resort before i explain the 3 star review. The staff and experience at the spa was without doubt above expectation and wonderful. Its almost impossible to get a perfect customer experience because of the number of staff you interact with. There is usually one person whom can be having a bad day and it shows.Overall, the staff, service and attentiveness is an overwhelmingly positive one. HR should be proud of the individuals they were able put together here. Now onto the bad.For individuals that have travel cross country to spend time at this resort, such as i. Including the cost, i have a certain expectations. They may be high, but i would say its a fair assessment and expectation for myself and most of other travelers.I noticed that upon check in that there were ants in the bathroom.I didnt make a big deal since we are where we are and the room is on the ground floor. There were also just a few i saw crawling around. After the second or third day i noticed that the bottom of the door leading to the balcony had a hole. This in itself isnt really a big deal. However, it causes concern regarding attention to detail. How was this missed by the housekeeping staff? Also, i brought back snacks and drinks that were left on the counter and it was never cleaned out. again not sure why housekeeping felt it should be left in the room. Even after requesting for it to be removed,.It stayed there for 2 more days. One of the nights i noticed that ants were crawling in the bed.And the ants in the bathroom have now grown in size.It obviously isnt the best way to go to bed knowing ants will be crawling around while in bed.Was offered a room change. Which happened late and after dinner since i was busy throughout the day.Was offered help to move, but was so exhausted i just wanted a to pack as fast as possible and get to bed.I realized that the new room was smaller and of a lower category than the previous room. This was of course disappointing considering i only moved because of the pests in the room. After bringing this up the next day. The wonderful staff was more than willing to accommodate and upgraded to a larger room and higher floor. After the first night, the ant issue only got worse. They have now infested the whole room, carpet, many were over cloths and in the suitcase.Which was left on the floor.Being from the city, this was a bit unsettling and disturbing.Otherwise a pretty decent stay was ruined on execution when coming to comfort of the rooms.hopefully they figure out the pest concerns.

I have been to both the Tucson location and this location. Overall, the Tucson location is better in my opinion. However, since this location is less than 15 minutes from my house Ill probably come back again, given that Im not traveling during covid.Masks are required for all indoor activities/classes, and class sizes are currently limited. There is still an excellent variety of fitness classes despite covid, however, and the instructors are all very enthusiastic and friendly. Ive tried several different classes during my visits, and yoga and cardio drumming remain my favorites. The spa here is truly the crown jewel. If I had to spend all my money in one spot, I would choose the spa. I had a facial on my first visit and a massage on my second one. Both treatments were equally excellent. The spa is also beautiful and tranquil. Id rate it 5*.One area of improvement that is needed is the food. Its not nearly as good as it is at the Tucson. location. I understand the buffet doesnt work during covid, but that means more focus should be put into the menu. The food is just OK - not memorable. Even the smoothies dont compare to the ones in Tucson variety and taste wise. The Austin location is also missing the amazing banana bread that the Tucson location has. The food is definitely the thing I like the least about the Austin location. As far as the rooms go, I prefer the casita setup that the Tucson location has over the apartment/timeshare style buildings the Austin location has. However, both locations have the amazing Miraval bedding and beautiful room décor. I highly recommend spending the night versus coming for a day, because then you have somewhere to hang out in between activities. When covid ends, I plan on visiting the new Miraval Berkshires location. Im curious how it compares to this location and the Tucson one.

We were extremely impressed with the customer service and hospitality at the Miraval Austin Resort. You can tell that they understand the value of getting to know their clients and having a relationship with the guests. Many of the staff asked our name and were really attentive to our interests and our preferences. Although with COVID-19 there were some issues with scheduling various activities, they were extremely willing to help us find other options to continue to make our stay great! The activities are A+ (cardio drumming, the labyrinth and glutes and abs were surprisingly great), the food was divine, the rooms were excellent (I really want to order the bed), and the view and scenery were exactly what we needed given the challenges with the pandemic and not being able to travel to the places we desired.I want to make a special call out to some great people on the staff that truly made our stay outstanding!! Johnny, the Outdoor Adventure team member, was phenomenal as he helped us learn how to ax throw, “master” archery (I only say that because I was able to hit a bull’s eye!), and how to fly fish! I also appreciate Karen, who just hearing my voice, remembered talking to me on the phone and asked about my dog who had just had surgery. We also were grateful to have Mitch at the resort (who is borrowed from another property) and was in the Dining location. He ensured that our stay was unforgettable. And last but not least, Brittany who took care of an inquiry we had about our bill. She really went overboard in making sure our experience exceeded our expectations. We will not forget this, and we will be back.

Highpoint for me was really the staff. Essentially waited on hand and foot! They were, to a person, friendly, personable, fun (some even hilarious!) and all seemed genuinely interested in helping you have an excellent experience.Food was mostly great (the breakfast was on point; sadly, the BBQ brisket was tough--in Central Texas, no less!) and the staff were ever present to attend to every need.Bedding was heavenly. Every person from my company raved about their bed. Didnt think to note who they use for the bedding but it was amazing. This might be neither here nor there for many but one of the BEST showers Ive encountered in my travels and I travel once (nearly twice) a month on average. Two nits: it was July so blazing hot and it seemed hard to get the room cool even when I set the temp low. I also mentioned in another review that the gym was more equipped for cardio than anything else. The manager responded that there are free weights (which I never disputed) but my point was how FEW. But thats a really small nit.Bottom line for me--Id recommend it to friends and would take my wife there.

Feb 2019 (soft opening, lots of construction still underway, it’s going to be incredible):Food: outstanding, healthy and filling options are available at all times. All service staff at restaurant were professional and friendly. The whole resort is very casual, people arrive at dinner in the yoga clothes. No need to over pack.Spa: skeleton services available from 4-10pm (only massages and facials, no mani/pedis available yet) in what feels like a temporary setup. No saunas or steam rooms, no indoor pool or hot tubs as of Feb 4.Pool: Outdoor pool at the spa was heated with great views. Hot tub is barely hot and needs some care. Did not use the pool by the check-in building, couldnt figure out how to access it.Activities: Classes and challenges are great, book the challenges ahead! Susan was a wonderful meditation & yoga instructor, There are not many classes available yet, once the yoga barn opens this will surely change; Amber was an informed and wonderful outdoor guide on our morning hike explaining the flora & fauna and geography and birds. Amber was also our guide on the Challenge Course and the Swing and a Prayer course. She was excellent at both. One day we went into Austin to watch the Super Bowl, 8 min Uber wait and a 30-40 minute ride into AustinRooms: Video is of our room (Serenity building 9) which is a 5 minute walk from yoga studio/barn and close to restaurant and pool. Rooms were “updated” though carpeting appeared dingy. No tub, only shower stall with a half glass wall which I never understood.

This is tough to write for many reasons. This was a 3 night stay for our family. 8 people in 4 rooms and it was a “buy 2 get 1 night free”. My wife and i had previously visited Tucson (5 Stars) and we so wanted to love this experience. So we thought this would be a great holiday moment. While it was great that the family was together, that was the part that kept us all happy.Extremely small for this type of $$$. So disappointing. Especially with the digital policy and you just want to relax and read on your eReader. It is not luxury room quality. Small, nice looking modern rooms and were clean. Just small.Hot water in the room was terrible. We couldn’t have two showers in a row. Whoever the second person is was, even an hour later, cold water. Not warm. Not exaggerating. Cold water. Yes. Cold. The beds have an extremely comfortable feather cover. But after you sleep on it you realize that it is covering up a terrible mattress. In addition the pillows were so soft that they ended up flat and it seemed as if you were sleeping on a folded towel. Granted I prefer a firmer pillow but I’ve never been in a room where the pillow was so soft it was as if I didn’t have a pillow by the end of the night. Now to the service. It was as expected and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining and spa staff were exceptional and clearly well trained. Great experience. The classes were very good as were the instructors that taught them. The food was hit and miss. Breakfast was great. The mocktails and coffee simply weren’t consistent. Depending on who made them, that determined the taste. And it was not the same from shift to shift. The lunch menu was good, healthy and light. The disappointment was dinner. Just take wagyu beef off the menu. Idk what it is, but it is not quality wagyu. Tough and not tasty. It actually tasted so burnt that the charcoal taste is all you could taste. For the money we paid, i had higher expectations. And then the digital policy. I’m not convinced that the company knows what they are trying to accomplish. The marketing materials refer to more of a “disconnect” policy but the website clearly Defines a no device policy. Guess which one I read. Yep. In fact, for a “no device” policy you can take pics with your camera and there are many designated areas where you can call or text. So is it a no device policy or not? Well, if you are trying to read the morning news and drink coffee in peace and quiet.........it is DEFINITELY a no device policy. How convenient. You can read a book and a newspaper just not on a device. Wow. Not texting, emailing, calling or bothering anyone. Just reading and relaxing (and saving the planet by the way). I’m ok with the policy. But if it’s device free then how can there be areas that you can text and take calls other than your room? So i had to walk 12 feet out in FRONT of the restaurant where it was 42 degrees in order to enjoy the rest of my book. I’m not going to spend more money on paper and books that don’t change the way in which I am disconnected or not. I agree. Peace and quiet and no cell phones.......that is a great plan. But you can’t call it device free if you will allow a camera to be used for pics. Why not sell disposable cameras? To me it’s the same as forcing me to read a paper book. Could it be that the company likes the social media attention from the pics? Of course they do. The company doesn’t have the courage to take a stand on no devices. I would respect that much more than a selective policy. The company clearly doesn’t want to take a stand on something they believe in. It’s truly a don’t text/don’t call policy unless you are reading. Silly is what it is and you can see it reflected in the marketing brochure. My point is that before going here you need to know the policies and what you are getting into. At least in Tucson the rooms are so awesome that you can spend tranquil time there reading from your device. Not in Austin. The experience was worth about half of what I paid. We will go elsewhere next time. Won’t be back to this resort.

Enjoyed a very nice spa day with my daughter whos about to be married. Service is impeccable and cleanliness is top notch. We were greeted at the door with a rosemary fizz, then after checking in, we were whisked away on a golf cart to the spa facilities. Views from the spa pool area, as well as the quiet room, are amazing. We enjoyed the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi as well. The only thing I felt it was lacking was supplying rolled up cold cloths to take into the steam room with you, like most spas do. One thing that came as quite a surprise, was that this is a non tipping resort. Ive never had a spa service before in which I wasnt expected to tip. In fact, youre not allowed to.

As I drive in there is a gate to enter the facility, I asked the attendant im here to purchase a gift card, her reply was very cold sorry were a closed property and gift cards have to purchased online this is no way to treat clients closed property or not, train your employees properly so they know the proper information to tell clients over the phone. relationships make the world go round, and train your staff to learn how to develop proper relationships, specially when you are in a service business.

The activities were awesome (Must sign-up by hand early). The staff -meh- i.e. we wanted to have some drinks around 9 and were told by the front desk they were closing (huh?) . This is a no smoking no cell farm to table food which some of whT the grow the guest are eating. We were very nervous about the food an what not but after the first meal we were all on board. The food was healthy and I must say was delicious we actually started feeling the change in our body eating this way. And would like to try an get some of this going on In our home. An if you just want to chill and relax they got you covered. Here again not what I expected the meditations and class of how to destress and relax were very enlightening. No I am your typical MAN meat potatos manly man and I didnt want to leave lol. The miraval seems to be a womans type resort not any men like me there that I met or saw but Im sure if they market it right they can change that. As a manly man I felt very outta place as it was mostly women. But HEY Men get over it and go get some of whT we been missing out on and do try to step out of your comfort zone an just go with the flow an try the floating yoga again not normally my cup of tea but I find myself wanting more of this place as Im sure you will as well. Miraval is our destination for a girls retreat. We are sharing rooms and all flying in from different cities. My rating is based on my experience prior to going to the resort and can be updated based on if the resort finally does the right thing. Mistake #1 itinerary was shared amongst roommates. In our case, personal information, such as a pregnancy, was shared on our behalf. We had not spoken to each other to share the news and they did Runioned the personal experience. Mistake #2 sensitivity training does not exist- something so precious such as pregnancy is never guaranteed as in my case; therefore the message now causes additional unnecessary distress. Mistake #3 after getting three managers involved Miraval staff caused me to continue to follow up with them to change my services and is reluctant to help make my stay better. They offered a discount on an additional stay, which makes me feel like they are disregarding the emotional stress they have caused me and are asking me to spend more money with them as opposed to doing the right thing and helping to make my existing reservation better. This is not what I expected for a company that prides themselves on great customer service and a fantastic wellness retreat that I am paying a pretty penny to stay at. Fail and fail.

In other words they knew it was wrong. I then got to eat my dinner afte my husband was finished with his. The food, even when made correctly was below average and bottom of the barrel when matched with price. Considering they are on Maui where they are known for delicious beef ... the steak even cooked correctly was terrible quality. So very disappointed. It pretty much ruined the entire stay for us.

This is our 4th time at this resort. First 3 times with Travaassa and Miraval took over last year. We are so disappointed at this resort. First of all they increase the room rate of this place so your expectation should be higher. They out a lot of money into the exterior of the place but spent very little money on training, food and customer service. I drove my Tesla to the resort and they have not charged. Though it stated on the map. Also when I asked no one know if they have a charger or not. Thank goodness we met Cody who used to work for Travaassa and he asked for us. Cody was great form the last stays we were here. The check in you would expect a smile or a welcome. But they just gave you 2 drinks and a back pack. No warmth at all. Except Cody. The ladies in the front really need to work on their greeting and customer service. I have dropped by the front check in couple of times already and not once did they ladies asked me how was my stay so far.Secondly This is not for person of faith. In the catalogue they have an entire page dedicated to the New Age movement. Taro Card reading is one of the activities. Astrology ready is a another. Transcendental meditation is another. If only they knew how demonic these activities are. In the middle of the Bible Belt where people of faith resides they don’t have a chapel, no prayer garden. Nothing. They want the resident to worship their own made up gods instead of the God who created everything.Thirdly we sat in the restaurant and we didn’t get a server the first night. The hostess finally took our order. Brooke finally came after we got our entree to apologize and said the wine was on them tonight. She arrived to serve us after we got our food. So that same morning one of the waiter said bunch of server left the same day for a higher paying job.Fourth the food is just so mediocre. They have buffet breakfast and lunch. For lunch and we had it 3 times already it is the same dried my chicken breast with no salt. Couscous and Farrows each and everytime. I had to get a burger last night because the food was so bad here. We asked the server and see is our friends can come on the first day and no body knew the answer. I am also glad our friends didn’t come knowing the food was so bad.So what is good. Our room was super nice. Indoor and outdoor showers. Plenty of space. View is beautiful.Spa was great. Had a great couples massage.Would I come back here. Most likely not. Two of my faith believing friends already canceled their reservation knowing that there is Taro card reading and astrology reading. This might work in Arizona Miraval but you are in Texas. We spend our anniversary here every year in the past and it is just so sad that Miraval had to ruin it for all the ones who are regulars.

The property had a lot of activities available, and the grounds were well kept. The layout was a bit strange compared to other properties Ive been to however. Instead of a main building with all the rooms, the guest rooms are scattered across the property in smaller buildings. The only downside to this is when we had our corporate meetings there recently, I had to run back and forth between meeting rooms making sure everyone had all the cables and adapters they needed. While not a huge issue, its just something to note. The food was excellent, and everything was amazingly fresh. Ive never eaten so well in my life! This was the first trip Id ever taken where I didnt wish I was home eating regular food after a few days. Usually, I get sick of eating out, but the food here was so fresh, it was like I cooked it myself.Id recommend Travaasa to anyone!

We stayed here for our anniversary this year and it was spectacular! The food, the spa, the room, the hot tub and the peace and quiet were great! We each had a Deep Tissue Massage and it was extremely relaxing. We had a scotch tasting scheduled as well and it was very knowledge filled. A highly recommended place.

I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights with my husband to celebrate my birthday this week. This was my first time here and due to the excellent customer service (from the receptionist to the sanitation engineers), we will be back...even to come enjoy a day of the spa services. Ms. Love, Tracee, and Alexander (please forgive me if I misspelled your names) gave me the best massages and facial I have ever experienced! My husband also enjoyed his massage and pedicure.Every staff member I came in contact with knew I was celebrating my birthday. The staff were ALL friendly and always had a smile on their face. The food was exquisite and they definitely aim to please. The bed was so comfortable we had to force ourselves to get up to go and enjoy the rest of our day.If you want a quiet retreat, a pampering experience, and a place to relax and enjoy nature, this is the place for you. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Thank you to all the Travaasa staff who helped make my birthday a memorable experience!Travaasa is my new heaven on Earth!

The staff was awesome and this hotel really felt like a home. Huge patios. Very relaxing experience. Really nice pool as well. The breakfast isnt as good as it is at Embassy Suites, but it was decent. They have a managers reception in the afternoon which is a nice perk. Brand new hotel, so very modern and clean.

This place is a true experience resort. There are things you can schedule everyday or just go relax by the infinity pool with a gorgeous view overlooking the valley and Lake Travis. The challenge course was great. We were all a little scared but the instructors were calming and supportive.Great hiking trails and horseback riding. The resort was at capacity and you would never know it based on walking around. Great place to just unwind and decompress. All of the staff were very nice and friendly.Love this place and definitely will be back.

I would like to go to your place, however the website sucks. If you try to open it on a iPhone, it does not allow you to view the page without signing up for a newsletter. I signed up for it and it just keeps going back that page. Part of that thing about getting guests to your hotel is to allow them to actually see it and be able to run a credit card.

Shame on Karl A for giving a damaging 2-star review on a property that he hasnt experienced based on his concern over the photos in decor. Thats not how online reviews work.

Beautiful views and good service. The bartender was great.Outside of that, the buildings were predominately cheap and apartment looking. The door lock did not work and when calling to report the problem, I let the phone ring for about 5 minutes without getting a response. I then went to the front desk and reported the issue, and was given an apology that they were on the other line and could not answer.I waited in the lobby while the receptionist attempted to contact the maintenance folks. Then the another employee came in after a bit 10 minutes and said that there was no maintenance people there to help after hours.I was almost run over by an employee in a golf cart on the walking path and didnt even get a sorry.Again, great views and mostly helpful staff but amenities need much improvement to be considered a top hotel/resort at any location (maybe a 3.5 star type resort). I would not recommend this place to anyone with higher standards than an average rental on most sites.

We stayed here 5 nights for our honeymoon and it was a fantastic time. Expensive, but definitely worth it--especially if you participate in a lot of the the activities. The rooms are very nice with really comfortable beds. They are spread out in 6 different apartment-style buildings, and it was kind of a pain to walk from building 6 where we stayed all the way to the Welcome Center to sign up for activities and to the other side of the resort where the spa, bar and restaurant are located, but to be honest we did so many activities that we didnt spend that much time in the room anyway. And when we were there, the amazing views of Lake Travis and the surrounding area made up for having to walk quite a distance. The activities here are a blast, and we tried a little of everything. From cooking classes, crafts, fitness and adventure activities, its all great. Our favorites were archery, ziplining and climbing, and the giant swing. You can also pay extra for some premium activities. We did the trail ride and it was a lot of fun. And of course, the spa is amazing! The staff are all very friendly, helpful, and informative. We had a great time and would recommend the resort to anyone who wants to relax and have fun.

Wanted to shout out to Travaasa in Austin. Last week we stayed there for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The massage was great, staff very attentive and chef Ben Baker and his team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Make sure you stay there when you are in the hill country.

I just spent 5 nights at the new Miraval Austin and happened to be one of their first guests to experience the renovation (part of the property was still under construction when I arrived - Jan 3rd). I know how much work goes into launching a new location, so wanted to acknowledge that effort by writing a detailed review. I’m not much of a review writer, so hopefully this will be helpful! Over 6 days, I took lots of fitness and yoga classes (hannah, susan and tara are all knowledgeable & inspired teachers!), did the climbing wall (Amber is super encouraging & gave great instruction!), the slack line (Lewis - originally from the Tucson resort - was gifted at making us all feel at ease), went on 2 group hikes (make sure to go with Johnny - he’s passionate about making sure you enjoy nature), and visited the spa daily (ask for a Thai massage with James or the Spiritual Warrior with Ashley- those were cool new experiences for me!). Here’s what else was amazing: #1. the staff. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, It was obvious that the staff here loves what they do. Got a problem? have a question? Ask Brittany. She’s the most open, “on it”, and committed front office manager I’ve ever encountered in hospitality. Miraval is super lucky to have her. That said, EVERY.SINGLE.PERSON was friendly and welcoming - and many knew me by name by the time I left. I’ve never experienced such a positive and energetic group of people at a resort before. It felt like a family, like they owned part of the company and were committed to making it succeed. #2. the food. I don’t know how their chefs manage to make “healthy food” taste so good, but they’ve killed it. The fish cakes at lunch were my favorite, but the breakfast oatmeal (with huge blueberries), and the dinner shrimp zucchini linguine were a close 2nd and 3rd (and I usually HATE zucchini!)! The pesto popcorn on the bar menu was also pretty amazing... and the flourless chocolate cupcakes are to die for. TO.DIE.FOR. It’s also really nice to interact w/the same staff at breakfast and lunch - after a few days, you start to get to know them... and they are so gracious in making sure you are enjoying the food - and the atmosphere! :) #3.The views, the views, the views. Absolutely breathtaking. If you can’t slow down and be mindful here, there just may be no hope for you - haha!! There are views from everywhere - from the rooms (next time I will absolutely pay extra for a room on the top floor), the restaurant (the sunset from the back deck is phenomenal), and... the swimming pool needs no words. Wow. Finally, #4. The hiking trails. There’s a 3 mile “lollipop” that seemed to get more interesting each time I walked it. The trails are super well marked and well maintained, which made it an even better way to get some “walking meditation” in each day. Oh - and #5. The water refill stations were soooo handy, as was the grab and go food and coffee at the Nest. (It sure was soooo nice to not worry about charging the food to your room - you can eat as much (or as little) as you want! Ah. #6. The shop (preserve provisions). the store manager and her staff were super friendly and helpful (and she just happened to attend the same college I did!), but they also give you plenty of space to browse by yourself... and the selection of stuff is soooo fun! I bought a few Benjamin soap company candles, plenty of clothes that I don’t need (alo, good human, spiritual gangster... and a BELLA Dahl dress), some cool natural deodorant (says it’s guaranteed to work!), and a gorgeous little zenz stone box filled with amazing smelling salve. Tip: If you need essentials (tampons, toothbrush), you just have to ask - they are thankfully hidden away so as not to kill your shopping buzz with a dose of reality. Clever! In a nutshell, the whole place is rad. Just rad. Once construction is completely finished - and they have all of their activities on the schedule (bees, horses, and a farm?! Hmm?!), it’s going to be even better. I can’t wait to return.

If youre looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and refreshment, then look no further than Travaasa. The staff is helpful and courteous. The spa is fantastic. Lawrence in the bar will spin you up a tasty cocktail and provide excellent suggestions for dinner. The menu is creative and the food did not disappoint. A perfect getaway from near or far.
