Plush has a great variety of genres playing weekly, from D’n’B on Tuesdays, Funky Bass during Wednesday’s, House on some days, and a good amount of hip-hop during the weekends. It’s one of the few venues that are open to niche styles of dance music, which makes it one of the best places for me.The place is small, I don’t know if the bathrooms lock, it’s covered in graffiti and stickers, and the staff is friendly and actually kinda helpful sometimes in finding another venue for music. So you get that small, intimate atmosphere rather than the disconnection of a normal club.

Plush is an iconic piece of Austin electronic music history. Its covered in artist slaps and tags, the staff is tatted and pierced, the drinks are probably the best priced downtown, and its located near several parking lots making it easy to access. Theres a food truck lot across the street and incredible pizza half a block up.

You wouldn’t know it by the name, but for the downtown area, this might be one of the last clubs with true grit left standing. They have a wide variety of nights catering to different genres of electronic music, most of which have a more underground / less mainstream focus during the weekdays. Given that it sits near the end of a stretch that’s rarely anything other than top 40 block after regurgitated block, it’s an absolute saint in my book.

I read really great reviews so I decided to check it out. It was not live...DJ played music for one specific audience. The bar does not have stirrers for their drinks so you are forced to put your lips on the rim of the glass. They stopped buying stirrers less than a year ago. I asked for a plastic cup and the bartender stated plastic cups are for WATER ONLY

I looove this place. Good diversity of music throughout the month, friendly staff, good vibes, always free. I like to dance and this is probably my favorite place to go. I also tend to meet pretty awesome people here, dancers and otherwise. I found it after moving here 2.5 years ago and its always been a top spot for me.

I have found my people at Plush. First time out on a Tuesday and I heard drum and bass from the street. Super friendly people inside and absolutely absorbing sexy sounds with beautiful women who like to have a good time. Felt like home away from home in Detroit. Highly recommended.

Always such an incredible time! Even on a random Wednesday pretty early for down town standards(10ish close to when they opened for the night) we had a blast! Get ready to dance and enjoy the people watching. Good vibes and people are all I encounter when I come to plush. Been coming here for years now and never dissapointed by the music or entertainment. Its small most ppl would say but there is a back area past the DJ booth people often miss. I always suggest plush to anyone looking to dance and love that thumping loud bass! Plus people dance with such amazing enthusiasm regardless of whos watching. Feels really nice to just dance like that and not be self conscious or afraid you arent good enough or dancing right. Lets you just be free and happy to be alive! Thanks for the amazing memories over the years plush!!! I will keep coming back for sure

Plush, it may be small, but they definitely know how to work it! This little club/bar plays some awesome edm music, and have specific nights for certain edm themes! Do you like Drum and Bass? Well sonar tuesdays there have what you are looking for! I personally have gone for that night multiple times, and every time has been a blast! Highly suggest going here to listen to some awesome beats and music, and dance your butt off! And dont worry, everyone there has varying levels of dance skill, you wont be out of place no matter how good or bad you are. Just have fun!

An intimate, friendly little club. The staff seemed friendly, nice bartender and bouncer, friendly crowd as well. Drinks were reasonably priced. Good lineup of DJs. Happy to find electronic music in Austin on a Sunday night.

Excellent spot - real small place and really genuine. People here want to have dance and have fun in a genuine way. Drinks are really affordable, lots of food available nearby if you need some fuel. They bring in some great historically important acts and cutting edge stuff. Better than the straight laced dance spots w/ big covers.

Best Dive Bar in Austin! With something going on every day of the week youll never be disappointed. Sundays are off the chain they have Monday Night Raw going on every Monday with DJ selection so you never know what youre going to get. Tuesdays drum and bass Wednesdays still have jiggle just breakbeats some drum and bass. Thursdays is more of a house Saturdays you have hip hop Fridays are fun to you.

Varied crowd - really, any and everyone seemed comfortable here. Limited bar. Music from the last thirty years, and a mix of reggae, top 40, house. Toss all of that together and you have Plush.

The dive-iest of dive bars turned into a club! I come here for the great underground electronic music they feature. You can often find top notch techno thumping throughout this intimate spot.

Great service, well made drinks, typically great music, and a FANTASTIC sound system. Definitely THE place to be in Austin on Tuesdays if you like Drum and Bass/Jungle. May only be the only second longest running DnB weekly in the nation, but its number one in the south!

Its a dive bar in all possible ways. People are friendly though and the service is fast enough. Can get hot when its packed and sometimes it smells like the wacky weeds but its a pretty good spot for chilling and some good music

Some of the best (new) electronic music that Ive heard at a club. The DJs on DnB night absolutely slayed it on the decks, showcasing how serious this establishment cares about their quality. The setting is intimate, but that allows for getting to know then people around you, creating a more fun and inviting experience. The bouncer recognized me from the first time I was there days ago and made it a point to say hi. Drinks were fairly priced and service was good overall. Checkout the bathrooms while youre there.

Its open late and has great music. This place has a sound system like Ive never seen in any other establishment. Its kinda unbelievable. Ive heard that it is the best sound system in Austin. Im not sure by whos standard. Im no audiophile but the speaker is my favorite spot.They host some of the greatest EDM artists which brings out a great crowd. On a slow night the vibe is mellow and the DJs still put it down as if the floor was packed. Check it out sometime! Ill be the guy encouraging you to stand by the speaker!

Never had a bad time here! They keep their events wicked diverse without the 6th street top 40 riff-raff, so theres always something to look forward to at Plush. Drink prices are standard for off-6th. Also one of the last bastions of great underground/non-mainstream electronic music in Austin, so that counts for a lot. Keep doing you, Plush.

BASS! BASS! BASS! Dropped by for about 30 minutes during SXSW. They had couple of DJs going. Not a big place, but its convenient if youre hopping around Red River and want to hear some house music.
