Most unique bar in South Austin...you never know who you might see or run into at Boomerz. Drink specials most nights, $6 pizzas, local selection of beers thats improved drastically (option wise) over the past few years.

Great bar! Bartenders are awesome. Lots of pool tables, a few video games, karaoke, and a friendly crowd. Snobs are not present! Very relaxed n er neighborhood bar!

Happy hour is a lark! I was on my second drink and one shot. Bartender tells my friend no more drinks for me. Why didn’t she tell me? And why advertise as fun place to hang out?In my neighborhood but I do not feel there was good service at all. I tipped her $20. In tip jar and on my bill.SadAnd will not support such an establishment!!!

My favorite spot to wait for traffic to die down. Price are cheap and bartenders are friendly. Been coming for about 2 years. There are plenty of games to play like pool, connect 4, ping pong, darts, and some arcade games.The bar also hosts events like Texas Hold em. Love this place.

If youre from Houston, the best way I can describe this place is that its like The Marquis II was before their pointless remodel a few years back. Thats a good thing. Fun neighborhood bar with friendly people...

If you like to dance in the dark filled with flashy strobe lights, this is for you. This has been the only dance club i can be myself and express my style and no one will have a problem. JUST DANCE! Wednesdays are a must, get there early ( ladies are free before 12 or i think all night ) . You get find your new boo here.

Kind of a dive bar with classic bar fare, but they have a friendly atmosphere and welcome all kinds. Thursday night is Karaoke, and their song list is ridiculously long and always expanding both with and without request.If you go AND dont have to drive, ask for Wess tea.

I am a karaoke junkie...I have called Boomerz on 3 occasions asking what was going on that night and NO ONE has ever been able to answer me...Poor leadership. Website says Thurs, posts say Sat, and calls say uhhhh? I was a bartender for 15 years and would have gotten my ass kicked if I didnt know who, what band, or what style was there that night...it hurts Biz and continuity. Its an easy step up and will yield you more consistent returns. Im dropping my mic...boom.

Excellent specimen of a country dive bar. The place is big and rarely crowded, with cheap drinks, a good beer selection including local brews, and a very nice staff. My favorite after-work hangout in the area.

Excellent drinks excellent service

Decent place to play a game of pool or table tennis. They also have giant jengas and the drinks are not too pricey. Do go with a group of friends, since here you wont find the atmosphere to be too fun if you are alone or not with a fun bunch of people.
