I love taking my 5 year old to this park, but on our last visit about 30min before sunset on a Friday the park full. Lots of adults and lots of kids, no one was wearing masks. I get that people are out doors but when its that crowded I would feel more comfortable having people wear their masks. We ended up not getting off the car, more families where coming in and more cars where driving up and same thing no mask and no social distancing. Just FYI.

Beautiful walk with plenty of shade. Nice long trail, awesome playground and water park to cool off. Wish there were more trees surrounding the actual field/grassy areas, but was still a great spot for a picnic! Definitely will be back!!

A very relaxing place! The area is very open and allows for lots of freedom. Also, many animals wonder the park, so it allows for wonderful sights and sounds.

We took our son here for his 4th birthday. He has a list of special needs, being non mobile is one of them. He loved this park and stayed a couple of hours. He usually doesnt like being outside for extended periods of time. We were very proud there were activities he can do. I saw my son smile and truly enjoy himself.

Great place for younger kids... like toddlers. I took my 8 year old daughter and she lost interest in the water pad due to all the little toddlers playing. Go early because all the soccer moms horde any shade or off ground seating, leave a garage full of kid stuff then leave as if their belongings are more important than a child, parent or grand parent needing a seat from the heat. The water doesnt open till 11am. Just enough time to heat things up before opening.

This was my first time here and we had a great time! My son (3 yrs) uses a walker and any park with the rubber type of flooring is so helpful. I believe its an adaptive playground developed by Make-a-Wish. There are great musical aspects, two types of zip lines, adaptive swings and some helpful shade. Ill definitely be going back!

This is the best handicapped accessible playground that we have visited so far! Our 4 year old grandson has cerebral palsy and he can access every piece of playground equipment by himself. There is a wheelchair swing, a handicap chair zipline, accessible slide, wheelchair accessible merry go round, windchimes, swings, and splash pad!! Worth the drive!

Red-tailed Hawk Park has two sections, an upper and lower section. The upper section of the park has a spray park open in the summer, picnic areas, sand pits for volley ball and horseshoes and lots of space to hang out.The lower section has a playground that is great for the younger kids. They have a large rock to climb and practice your bouldering on too! For the big kids, there is a huge field to play sports and a great bike path that goes all around the park and connects up with a larger path system that leads to the Cherry Creek Trail. They have a great picnic area and a grill and a public restroom as well.

First visit here. Looks like itd be entertaining for kids in the summer with the little water park. Being December, it was still a pretty place and fairly quiet to take the dogs for a stroll. The wetlands boardwalk wasnt much to look at unless you get excited by wild frisbees hiding in the cat tails :)

Great walking trails. Nice playground for the kids. If its really hot outside, know that there are very limited shady areas here and there are pretty aggressive horse flys and yellow jackets in the summer. Theres a small water park up the hill from the main park which is usually overcrowded but the kids like it.

Beautiful park, nice area, great equipment for all ages (some parks only have equipment for younger kids, this one has great stuff for older AND younger kiddos!!!), fantastic water spray area, bathrooms at the park (although they are outdoor bathrooms, they are nice for outdoor ones, albeit still outdoor ones so, ya know.... somewhat smelly, etc, but there was actually TP!!! Woohoooo!!), cute tiny little toad hopping about, and a magnificent area for sports, releasing toads, or relaxing with a 12-course picnic..if you have a picnic basket that could hold that amount of food...either way, the open space in this beautiful park can hold that much of a picnic ;) , and it is fantastic!
