Love this park as it boasts of green trees, ponds, beautiful mountain views, nature and mindfulness. Walk the trail to Bluff Lake for more beautiful views and bird watching.Bring the kids for some education as there are areas to stop and read about things in nature. Can catch crawdads and other small fish in the pond but wouldnt recommend eating them.

Lovely, well-kept park with walking paths, and playground. Only thing that I think needs attention is the port-a-potty. It was pretty foul.

Relaxing as always. Its a great place to just stop on the way home to leave work or whatever behind before you get there. Especially when Im on the Harley!

Just beautiful, wideopen spaces. Little places to sit peacefully and the sand/trail surfaces are easier on the joints when running or walking. Plenty of space for dogs, bike riding, and good bird watching opportunities!

Really great vantage point to see incredible views. I would highly recommend checking it out. They open at sunrise and sunset but if you cut it close you can get some amazing pictures. There is lots of wildlife diversity and tons of different types of birds. So happy to have this in the bluff lake neighborhood

Sand Creek Park is beautiful. There is a boardwalk around a pond and areas to stop and sit. I recommend it for a nice walk or bike ride.

Many paths to choose from going around the park. Varied scenery. When all of the planned improvements are finished, it will be beautiful. As always, there are people that do not respect the land, and leave thrash. I walk here 3 times a week.

This is truly one of those hidden gem type of spots...where I parked there was no shade but that was it as far as draw backs to the place. I couldnt believe I was at this beautiful slice of nature and that close to colfax!! Truly awed!!

A good walking park with great views! Almost in the heart of the city. Tons of wildlife in the area. The park also has a few bridges and small waterfall type structures. A little dirty here and there, some people dont pick up their animals waste. There was also a bullet in the parking lot (not against guns but, not good for a park). Over all its a nice place, might want to avoid it at dark.

Lovely refuge in the City of Aurora - great mix of trail and concrete pathways for running. There are lovely nooks and crannies to explore - and it’s away from the industrial part of the city ️

Really nice trail system in east Denver. Going west gets you to the beautiful views of the Bluff Lake trails. Once construction is done youll be able to resume taking the trail several miles west to the South Platte Trail. Ample parking.

Really nice area to walk by the creek. Mostly sunny, but there are a few areas where the path is shaded. Its really close to a lot of Stapleton construction and also close to large roads and industrial areas, so some of the views are spoiled.

Ki
Review №32

Out of the way, across the tracks, quiet walking park. I like this one so much because there are seldom many people. No facilities but its just for a walk so dont really need them. Very natural and peaceful, well maintained. And seriously now, were all grown ups-you shouldnt be in any parks in the metro after dark. Thats in the park rules. Again, this is a hidden gem.

Nice place to walk or go for a jog. Connects to other trails along Sand Creek with lots of loops so you can choose to go as fas as you like. The parking lots are small but aren’t full on weekdays. Close to the UC Denver medical campus, I 225 and not far from I70. Lots of birds.

Very beautiful. Was very surprised at what they did there. The walk out to the floating dock through the reeds made my day. Liked the little waterfalls, you should try to do something with them. Worse part was seeing what I think is a prison?!? Its near by and you can see it whole time. Lots of prairie dogs. Not scared ones either.

Has the effect of making the observer feel as though they have left the city for a time. The views of the mountains coupled with the lack of cityscape add a surreal beauty and a subtle, primitive call to nature that is hard to ignore.

A massive flock of geese swooped in and landed on the other side of the small lake. The lake was covered in ice and snow from a previous snowstorm less than a week prior, so the air was still a bit frigid.Perhaps it was because of the cold and the fact it was getting late, but it was nice was how quite it was. This was particularly impressive for being in the middle of a busy city. There was at least the one bridge I could see and certainly a trail that led all around the lake to walk the dogs. Such a nice little getaway.

I have to admit tgat I went here to take over the pokemon go gym. Buuut i have been here before and I havr yet to get out and walk to the water. Why? It wasnt readiky apparent to me how this park worked. Which was odd. That aside I plan on going back to explore this area and then i can update my review. I am sure there is some lovely areas to hike too. You know what, I bet this is more for the hike. So if you like hikes you might like Sanf Creek Park

Not crowded. Nice playground, like the way the small slide is built into the rock, other nice equipment, but not a whole lot. Designed to blend in with the landscape. Dogs are allowed, they have dispensers for dog dooties, but not many garbage cans. No bathrooms. Didnt see sitting areas or picnic tables. 3 small lakes and canal along the trail. Saw a 3-4 foot snake cross sidewalk, two large turtles basking on log in middle of one of the smaller lakes. Deer prints underneath road bridge. Lots of annoying small flying bugs. Overall not bad, next park over doesnt allow dogs, so you know.
