Very nice and fairly large community park tucked away by Smokey Hill and Tower roads. The park is part of the local bike trails and offers access to a large amount of biking and walking - although youll have to plan your return to the parking lot as its just mainly the one trail which goes for miles. There are baseball fields and a playground and a small wetlands/nature area.

Piney Creek Hollow offers superb access to a lovely section of the Piney Creek trail. This trail offers a wonderful stroll on a paved path, flanked on both sides by mostly wild prairie grasses and wildflowers. The trail is well maintained by mowing several yards on either side. At the end of a half hour walk, youll reach a bicycle fixit station with tools and bench, which might be very useful if you got a flat tire.I always see some wildlife along the trail. Butterflies, various birds, and the occasional hawk inhabit these environs year round. The softball diamond and soccer field are pleasant enough. And Ive run in several 5Ks hosted at the small pavilion. Plenty of parking is available, too. I cant think of a single improvement I would make to this park.

The grass fields are terrible. Ive been using the park for about 5 years. The Piney Creek trail is great (which is not part of the park, it extends 6-7 miles in each direction). the playground & cabana are nice. Not sure why there is a snack shack there. It is never open. The fields are some of the worst around. The main fields (by the parking lot) are decent at times, but the eastern section is full of grass clumps and very uneven turf. The back field is in terrible condition and is basically unusable for sports. Not sure why were paying to maintain it. Also, the grounds crew moves the fields and goals every week which is always great to show up for practice and have to drag a goal 50 yards from the creek.

The playground is truly built for little ones, there is a roofed picnic area with several tables, a restroom, and the trails are super sweet for running or walking. Also, theres a large open soccer and baseball field.
