I never have a good experience with this place. Even before this COVID-19 mess started.I have a paid membership for Aurora Recreation, I decide to workout (basketball) at Beck Recreation Center today. We signed up well ahead of time, and at first the recreation rep checks everyone else in then tried to tell me that I didnt sign up, After actually checking and realize that I indeed did sign up, then she tells me that there is no basketball. It would have been nice if someone would have called me to tell them this, rather than allowing me to sign up, and waste a trip.The rules for Covid in the Gym have been only one person in the Gym per time, which makes sense and I 100% support anything we can do to prevent the spread of Covid. - What doesnt make sense is that more than 10 people are allowed in the workout area which is no bigger than the Gym, but not 1 person is allowed in the Gym.Does the workout area have some type of Covid prevention mechanism that the basketball gym doesnt?

I love this place. I have been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my kids here for swim lessons. I work out here.

A solid 5 stars. The recent renovations and equipment upgrades plus friendly staff, wide selection of free classes, and a very affordable price makes this recreation center a hidden gym in Aurora. Highly recommended.

Literally the most positive place to get my workout completed. Bobby, Stan and the whole staff are so warm and welcoming, I am beyond grateful for them all!Great cost, very clean and A LOT of healthy support.

Great spot for low key workout. All the equipment minus the huge crowd. An underrated facility.

This recreation center is really nice. The prices are reasonable and the pool is warm. The inside of the building in some spots could use a little face lift but it doesn’t affect the gym equipment or other amenities.

Always enjoyed going to beck. Super awesome staffs, feels like family. The place is not super crowded. So you can comfortably workout.

I love the atmosphere and it make me feel great after i workout. The only problem is that everyone dont take hygiene seriously. Wiping down the machines after using them. We dont no who sick or not.

We just got a membership here a few months ago and really like it. Its usually not crowded and has nice machinery to workout on.

Although we havent been back to the rc center lately, we do recommend the place often to those seeking a decent place to work out. we enjoyed the fact that they had a pool, weights, and a RACQUETBALL COURT! I played a lot of racquetball in college and looked for a decent court off and on for years as I moved about so I could continue playing. I was quite surprised when I discovered Beck Recreation Center - it was close, inexpensive, and had everything for us!

The employees are kind and very helpful in showing you around the facility and offering different plans and programs to help you get a start to a healthier you. I found a list of trainers who can assist in teaching me how to create a plan that will best work for me.The encouragement is contagious!!!

A very well kept clean facility. Good for social events and birthday parties. The only problem I seen in the mens restroom is 1 out 3 soap despencers was working. The one that was working had literally little soap to despense. Other than that the mens restroom appeared to be clean and operational. Past that I have to say its a beautiful facility.

Raquetball and swimming lanes - when available - are great!

My favorite city run rec center. A warm, year-round pool, a reasonably hot Jacuzzi, and a solid gym. (And my spouse is at the front desk every weekday morning.) Get a 1 year pass!

The gym isnt too busy (which is really nice) and the pool isnt ever freezing cold to the point where you dread jumping in to swim laps. We really like it here fo the price its a really good deal. The membership even includes a TON of classes. You can really get a LOT for your money here.

Great place and the best price for a rec center Ive ever seen. The basketball court is good, though it could do with a little touch up and waxing, but pretty good other than that. If you reserve a time, then you can get in some pretty good group training sessions or maybe even some solo time. You can usually find a nice pick up game on weekends and meet some good players. Probably my favorite rec center in Aurora, the quality is undeserving of the prices.

All the equipment, large swimming pool and classes there are really good.

Played racquetball with some buds. First time here and I I liked it. Clean, not crowded and the bathrooms have individual shower stalls. Very Nice.

This is a great facility for swimming lessons as well as swim test for scouts. We reserve a lane a couple of times a year for swim test.

Good swim for my 7 & 8 yr old grandsons, lifeguards attentive at all times.

Older nice little rec center. Swimming lap pool was very hot probably 85 degrees and the water was very murky and ultra chlorinated.

Its a really fun place to swim and work out.

The facility is clean with plenty of equipment for everyone. The place has everything you need from racquetball courts to a swimming pool. The price is very reasonable for the residents of Aurora and even better for the whole family.

My wife and I work out here three times a week and love it. Mainly older people who come here to actually work out and not gab. Great staff and instructors!

Very homey style place.

It is very secure, friendly and the smell of the indoor pool is so lovely. It brings back memories of my childhood going to the YMCA. It is scenic, the kids go to preschool there but they also offer childcare while working out, an 18 month school, a lot of Grandparents drop their grandkids off to school and makes my heart aches for my own grandparents and wish for my kids to have that quality time that the other kids get to have because of Beck. The staff are amazing, the outdoor playground is just too cute!

I Love Beck! Not all the hoopla of some of the bigger gyms. Still provides everything I need from weights, spin class, cardio machines and even a heated pool.Most importantly...super affordable!

Nice gym. On the smaller side, but its not crowded. That doesnt mean its not busy though. The machines are great. There are free weights as well. The atmosphere is relaxed, but its not like other gyms that have a lunk alarm. Theres classes fit for almost everyone in just about any age range. The staff is very helpful for the most part. Theres always one... The membership is very affordable in my opinion. Plus the classes are of no charge, if Im not mistaken, once you sign up. No stress and no haggle prices. Get your sweat on!!!! GET SUUUUM!!!

This place was pretty neat! Nice pool and clean facilities. The staff was very accommodating for being so early in the morning. I will most likely be back.

Beck rec center is a great place....my grandson is taking swim lessons there this year....miss Mary is his teacher right now and is a wonderful teacher, nothing but patience and kindness for all her students....all the teachers do a great job...my grandson was in pre-school at Beck last year and that was a nice experience as well...and all the fitness, dance, gym, and classes are top rate....Beck is a great place !!

This place has been a blessing! Great community of staff and patrons who push and encourage one another to meet their individual fitness goals! Newcomers are treated just like family! I love it!

My daughter does swimming here and loves it. The locker room is very clean and has showers, toilets, and places to change. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

This is the only indoor pool I go with my kids. My kids take swimming lessons here and the instructors are awesome. Very clean, too.

Been going to this Rec Center for 9 years and it has treated me so well. Their renovation was an exponentially great service to the Center.But, twice now their newer employees have rejected my entry into the center because they were unable to legitimize my membership which, keep in mind, Ive had for years now. Both times Ive ended up leaving the rec center because they simply wouldnt let me in. The inconvenience was absurd to put it lightly.

Just a pool heated to 85 degrees, and a large hot tub at 102 degrees. No lazy river or kids area so if your aim is to go swim, its perfect.

Clean facility. Was nearly empty when we were there. We will be back

I could exercise at any pool but I choose The Beck. The pool is a little warmer and always crystal clear. The staff is friendly and very helpful!

This is a wonderful place as they have golf course,basket ball court Pre school awork out of equipment to work on A beautiful swimming pool different times for all I am in the swim aerobic class if you have had surgeries it really helps a person and a hot tub for the folks and lap swimming time and you meet alot of new people in your life there . If tou have a silver sneakers card it gives you a discount . So this place is wonderful and try to make you happy and healthy plus also for our little toddlers they have swimming lessons also please come and join us stp at the desk and they have brochures for the times for everything come join us.

Toddler and parent swimming class was awesome. We get a little better each week.

Originally I gave the this center a 5 star rating I recently went back and wouldnt even give them a one star rating this center is catered to the elderly people only! You cannot be a parent bringing children in there because if youre by yourself they punish you. Dont dare be a single parent because youre gonna get punished for going. Parents are not allowed to go anywhere near the hot tub if you have any children and they will yell at you continuously every second about every little thing while youre in the pool swimming even though you and your children are the only people in the pool.Very very disheartened that I cant and will not be going back there it was not a good experience nothing at all about it was relaxing and it is the it neighborhood rec centerAlmost makes me very ashamed to know that Ive lived in this city my entire life and that rec center is part of my city. That is not at all how I want my city to represent their children and parents

A little small in the weight room area; I believe they could expand that, but love the staff and trainers. Very clean and a lot to offer. We go 6 days a week and are treated as family.

My wife and I recently started our 8 year old daughter in taekwondo @ Beck rec center. Were always greeted with a smile and How yall doin today? Its always clean and its always bustling with activity! This is a good location with a lot of cultural diversity. The Merriweather Family.

Took swimming lessons there and the instructor is VERY good!

Everyone there is so friendly, you can work out without having to wait forever because there are multiple of almost all the equipment. The taekwon doe training there is fun and education as well

It was my first time here. The lady at the front counter was very friendly. But my only concern was that while I was swimming they were cleaning the diving board with to me looks like ajax then plus the chlorine lets just say my eyes are red,swollen and itchy and I got a very bad headache. I think they should of waited to clean pool after hrs but thats not gonna stope from coming back to enjoy the other enjoymentvyou all have to offer. Its a very clean place. Im glad I found this place. Definitely recommend this to family and friends
