We visited the pool and had tons of fun! It’s still pretty quiet here right now, we will see how it goes when the crowds pick up.

It is only 18 months old or so. It is normally designed for families or young adults. If you are an adult alone visit during the start or end of the day or Sunday mornings...During Safer at home. There is limited activities and reservations are required. No drop ins. And masks must be worn except while in the pool.

My whole family loves it here, a whole lot of different things to do and easy on youre wallet

Stopped by Friday around 6pm to walk the track. There was no supervision that I could see. Kids running against the grain on the track. Standing in the middle of the track on cell phones. The elevator was a playground as was the locker room. After having to dodge a girl laying on her yoga mat on the track, it was time to leave this daycare. The parking lot was no different. Kids running between cars and carrying on. One car had 4 teenagers smoking weed.

Loved it!!! Nice and clean, not crowded. I had a GREAT swim. First time since March .

Awesome place! We hosted a birthday party and loved the slide, lazy river, wave pool, splash pad and wading pool. It appealed to many ages and was fairly hassle free with decorations, pizza, cake and utensils (plus plates and cups) included.Recommendations: I wish there were more tables and chairs, especially chairs, and please post a sign for the wave pool ladder not to be used. For the overall design, I would have separated the laps from the indoor water park area. I imagine not all swimmers want super loud kids while they are working out.Finally, for the party itself, somebody has to stay in the lobby to hand out wristbands. This is okay, but splits the hosts up from the get go. Also, more soda initially would have been preferred. Apparently you can get up to 12, but only two 2 liters were provided right away. Regardless, staff was super helpful, quick to grab more [soda] and ready to answer questions promptly.Thank you, Aurora Central Rec Center and team! Overall, you helped make a unique and fun birthday party!

Crowded and with limited machines, but to be expected for a community rec center. Great experience overall and the view from the back patio is fantastic. Bicycles and treadmills come with a fitness tracker which is very helpful, regardless of how hard of a workout you desire.

It was my Granddaughter 5th birthday party.I think it was very nice. Great value for the money. The kids had a great time. I enjoyed the pool. Very nice recreation center.

Very clean, very well organized. I swear I think they used every inch of space. Very reasonable rates, helpful staff and top quality cardio and weight training equipment. Great place for the whole family to be active together.

Started working out to lose weight. Lots of machines available. Nice hot tub in the pool area. Its beg just less than 2 weeks but very happy with the rec center.

Love thus Rec Center! The only thing I wish they had was a Steam room! But the gym and Pool/Wet area are Fabulous. And the cost is so convenient!

Nice Rec Center..Wasnt well thought out for the population of people who visit. Why such a small gym compared to some of the other Rec Centers..All that Land and that is the best design for the Gym that could be thought of..There are at least 20-30 kids/adults in the gym at a time and only 4 hoops..Not even big enough to divide the gym off for other activities..Why!!

Nice pool and fitness center. Not quite sure what the main purpose of the large concrete seating area is in the gym. Overall great place!

I enjoyed my visit to this rec center. Very clean and friendly staff.I do think however, it is a bit small for the demographics.I think the pool is surely the main attraction although I came for the fitness center.Overall I thought this rec center was well done!Thanks Aurora.

Paid for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) to go swimming last Saturday. We paid the $18 to get in and by the time we came out from changing into our swimsuits there was no one in the pool. We thought it was adult swim. We stood around for 45 minutes before finally asking a young lifeguard who told us someone pooped in the pool. We decided to leave and go somewhere else, as the kids were highly disappointed. I did not care to pay $18 to stand around waiting for 45 minutes, so we stopped by the front desk to ask for a refund. By that time they were saying the pool was closed for the rest of the day and had not bothered communicating to anyone in the pool area. The first girl at the counter tried to offer us passes to return, but we declined, she said she needed a supervisor to approve a refund, we told her that was fine wed wait for the supervisor. We waited another 10 minutes for the supervisor who also said they couldnt give us a refund. We had to continue to ask for our money back, while the supervisor walked off without acknowledgement and a few minutes later another girl walked up to us with our $18 and no apology. I can understand the situation was out of their control, but the customer service aspect was extremely lacking, and for that reason I wont return. Bad first impression and big slide wasnt even working.

It is new, 1st month was not worth the time do to being free and packed. Now it is great all hours and worth every cent. Staff is better than local gym staff

A really nice new facility. Some of the staff is young and still learning. Good experiences.

The activities were fine themselves but the pool water tasted like salt if you accidentally got it in your mouth and if you got the water in your eyes it’s burned. I also felt as if it were hard to breathe after a while. No diving boards if anyone was wondering.

Just wish the windows between the lobby and pool area were covered. I didnt like that there was people just staring in. One of the lifeguards was super rude and very unprofessional. Place seems to be very clean. The smell of chlorine was almost unbearable. Pricing is great, especially for the party rooms

Place is great for kids the pool isnt that deep, and the lap pool isnt that big either. Has a fun little child play place. And theres no handicap way into the hot tub. The family restroom we used for my mother in the wheel chair and my 3 year old daughter however the shower didnt work correctly. The water slide was also not running.

Beautiful facility, friendly staff. I love how the Pool area is set up and that the hot tub is right next to the pool and kiddie pool and not separate like trails. So I can soothe my aching body in the hot tub while watching my kiddo since he cant go in the pool per Auroras age rule. Will be taking my little boy here soon, he will love it and getting myself a membership so I can take advantage. Its really close to us too and the prices are very affordable. Im so excited its finally done!!

Inexpensive and fun. They have a hot tub, lazy river, kiddy pool, wave pool, lap pool, and a slide.

This center is awsome. Helpful employees. Clean. Lots of new equipment. Swimming there too. Basketball court and pickle ball. Classes to take. I just joined 8 days ago and have been there 6 days. Im super happy that i stopped and got a tour.

Nice new building and equipment but the amount of unsupervised children and young teens goofing off in the gym is very irritating and dangerous.Also my husband likes to play basketball but there is never an open court, seems like at all times of day it is busy..

Amazing water slide! The staff is so friendly. We got to do the soft opening today with my husbands company and it is beautiful! The waterslide is almost like holographic. The layout is open and fun. I love that the gym is on top so you can look down into the pool area. And my boys LOVED the basketball courts. Im not sure if I saw a sauna though...

So this place looks nice. I toured the facility the gym I didnt like at all. Its like your on display. But I will try there pool

Pool was fun a lot of things to do. However the amount of chemicals in the pool seems unsafe. I had yet to get into the pool when the smell over bearing and brought on headaches and burning eyes. We pushed it out because I thought it was me being sensitive. After about an hour my oldest cane to me crying unable to open one of his eyes due to the chlorine I got him out and into the shower to rinse his eyes out. After an hour of being home his eyes are still in pain. Not only the actual eye but the skin area the eyes are bright red and swollen. This pool would be a great place to be if this could be fixed.

I love the hot tub. The swimming pool is too shallow. Only about 4ft deep I think. Not deep enough to dive into the pool.

For putting so much time and money into the rec center, I feel like its pretty small. I wish the design was a little better, and that they had a sauna or steam room. Aside from that, great staff and pretty clean.

This place is so terrific! They have 2 pools, gym, fitness room & a long water slide. We were there on a Wednesday morning and there was really no crowd! Every level of swimmer is accommodated, beginner to pro. Go! Youre paying for it, enjoy it, its great.

Great equipment, new facilities, opens early.

Friendly staff. Lifeguards are totally on target. The swimming activities for tots is so totally awesome. The river runs well with an alternate route into the froth and churning waters.The whole facility has been well made.Totally built on 33 million dollars in marijuana tax revenues. Totally right on.

My husband and I have been coming here about 5 times per week since grand opening. The facility is nice and has lots of machines available for cardio and weight training. I only give four stars because it can be frustrating to deal with unsupervised teenagers and sometimes even small children bouncing basketballs, lounging around on equipment upstairs, or horseplaying.

Nice considering its new but the water slide was a huge disappointment. You have to physically push yourself down the whole slide until you get to the end. Way to many whistle happy life guards that are honestly just in the way, you do not need water police every 5 feet. The family locker room is just a wet mess trying to put dry clothes on just ended up with wet pant legs because the floor doesnt drain off. Great basket ball court and weight room set up with modern equipment.

When I went here everything was so nice. The pool is very big and can fit a lot of people. They also have a wave pool and how often they do it is (Im guessing) about 15-20 minutes. This was luxury I guess because they just had couches everywhere and it was a really nice place. I recommend going here with your friend/family.

Absolutely beautiful rec center. Great layout, terrific amenities. The fitness equipment is all top of the line and there is plenty of it. Way to go Aurora, you nailed it with this new rec center.

Great lap pool with modern facilities and perfect water temperature. I love the art and lighting design so thats a nice perk too. Theres something for the whole family here.

We visited first thing this afternoon, we were greeted we warm smiles... its still all being pulled together with the final touches, but whats already ready in place is amazing! we were given a hands on tour that showed us every corner of this amazing facility. The highlight of the recreation center is the pool area...we came back later tonight and enjoyed each section... I am only giving 4 stars because its opening day and they still have some tweaks to do.. a few suggestions would be a few more chairs and tables. hooks to hang your towels, swimsuit spin dryers and most of all everyone wants to know how often does that magical wave pool run?? we asked every life guard and nobody knew... oh, to walk a mile in the lazy river youll need to do 30 laps Im not quite sure how long it took us to do them cause I didnt see a clock on the wall yet... this rec center is very nice and well thought out, please Aurora take care of it, and teach your children to pick up after themselves and this building will be a place that we can all be proud of for many years to come!

The new rec center is absolutely amazing! Beautiful architecture that fits right into the landscape with innovative features. The pool is my familys favorite. Our toddler has so much fun in the zero entry kids pool area. The lazy river has rapids and there is a wave pool! As long as we live in Aurora we will be members.

Absolutely beautiful brand new facility. Completely worth 20$ a month for locals. The gym is large enough and has all the necessary equipment, and the lap pool and basketball courts are incredible for the price. Smaller facility but has much to offer.

I do not know what is going on with Aurora Rec Center Recently, but I am absolutely horrified at how my children and I have been treated this summer in their programs. They got my daughter so sick at a camp that she ended up with a 105 degree ever due to lack of supervision, water breaks, or even just letting her lie down when she did not feel well. I took her to swim lessons at Pheasant Run with her brother. Her brother was kicked out of the pool in 80 degree weather for not holding onto the side of the pool. He also became ill after being forced out of the pool and publicly shamed by the immature and ridiculous instructor. He was so sick the next day after having to sick out in freezing weather that I had to take him to urgent care. Then I tried going to this Rec Center and got told I could only use the punch passes for the child I had put them on. I had to get a manager to override this ridiculous rule. So my kids end up in the wave pool, which as another reviewer noted is highly dangerous for younger children and new swimmers. So I stand above the pool where I can watch my children and the teenage lifeguard calls me maam and tells me I cant stand there. Im like I cant keep an eye on my children? I was furious. I took my kids and went home. Aurora Rec- who do you think you are? You should be encouraging parents to watch their children in the pool, not discouraging them. Start telling your teenage employees to treat the responsible, wage earning, conscientious parents with a modicum of dignity and respect. I am ready to move. Have been for about a year. You need to get these teenagers trained to watch and help children and show adults the respect they deserve. Absolutely disgusted. Who kicks an eight year old out of a pool in freezing weather? Have a heart and get a clue.

New! Clean and full of action oriented people. Young men throwing hoops in an incredible basketball court, kids enjoying the pool, seniors relaxing in hot tub. A really nice hangout for all ages.

10/10 these new facilities are so amazing! Obviously its a bit crowded since its brand new and been in the works for so long. I think the best part is the gym upstairs. The pool is a little hot, and Im not crazy about the commotion of a million kids running around Haha. Maybe Ill wander into the pool area when its a little less chaotic. Just got a membership for the gym for a year for my household and Im glad I did!!

Brand new facility with an array of gym equipment, amazing indoor track, outdoor veranda for stretching or even working out, and if you have kiddos, the pool is like an indoor water park! Left my normal gym to take advantage of this beautiful community recreation center - also a great place to meet your neighbors!

Shout out to Coach Gabe! He is so patient, kind and knowledgeable for swim class...And to all the lifeguards there. I feel really safe with them all over it at the pool.

Our family just went to the pool. The pool was bigger than we thought and definitely fun. There is a wave pool area witch is fun for big kids. The biggest disappointment is that the 2 times that we have gone the slide was closed. Life guards where definitely plentiful. But with the life guards they are all young and teenagers who dont have any authority so there was a lot of questionable things going on. Other than the slide not working and the life guards not being authoritative we had a good time.

Kids loved the little person pool. Really wanted to try the lazy river and wave pool but were barely over 3 ft. I liked how you can look into the pool and workout so the kids can swim while you work. It was packed ,but Im sure thats just because it is free days.

What a wonderful place to go to for all the recreational activities that you can enjoy. Indoor swimming pools lazy river and the work out area are amazing.

I had a great workout and there are a ton of options from cooking, swimming, and even childrens birthday parties.

The pool area is nice, though small overall and the lap pool and lazy river are particularly small. Most disappointing to me were the disability accommodations. My daughter has muscular dystrophy and although they have a pool lift which is overkill for her, the other types of pool access are spread apart. She can barely handle the gentle stairs to access the river. There is sloped access into the childs area but that is understandably blocked off from deeper areas. The worst ADA interpretation was in the womens locker room. First why is the handicap shower always the one with the longest walk from the locker area? The single handicap shower that they provided has a seat, and some kind of waist high jet of water that hits you in the abdomen or chest with a single stream of high pressure water. Then there is the same wall mounted showerhead that are in the other showers. Which because it doesnt work correctly and is leaky in the ADA shower even though the center is a month old, is useless. Why not put a wand on that for the sitting occupant? I hope that the city of Aurora puts some serious thought before they spend this kind of money again on the next rec center. I did not visit the other areas of the center so cant speak to those areas.

Clearly built for children. Weights are tucked in a corner and 4 shallow, narrow (and I suspect short of 25m) lap Lanes in a multi-million dollar pool is a travesty. The facility is beautiful and the one staff member I interacted with was very pleasant. Just cant compare with a full gym/pool.

A little disappointed with this rec center. After waiting so excitedly for it it leaves us wanting a bit more. It feels small in all areas. Slide has been frequently broken and crowd control is tough. I think they dont always manage letting in paying customers only. Which is okay for a community center, but if this is the case I wish that was communicated so I wouldnt have bought a membership. Just wishing for more here.

Water slide is already broken and not working. And only 20 chairs in the entire pool area? Come on...... all the parents are sitting on the concrete. Maybe wall length benches, or something? But kids loved the water.

Nice facility I didnt really meet the staff as I came in on a friends pass to work one of my boxers, but the location was nice inside.

Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. If youre looking for a great place to work out this is the one.

The pool is a wonderful place! But the employees were rude to both my friends and I when we were in the hot tub. Thinking we arent 15 and for the manager to be awfully rude to us. I suggest for them to be more polite towards their customers.

Loved this place at first, but now it is terrible. Kids are given free reign of the hot tub, 10 year + old boys are going in the womens locker room without anyone stopping them, and the pressure on the showers shuts off randomly.

...... changing my review to four stars today..... twice in one week I’ve arrived and the pool was closed once for poop and now a broken HVAC. The big slide has never worked since opening. Having serious doubts about this place....... So far I’m loving this place and cancelled my long time 24 hr fitness membership. I hope the city can keep this place clean and nice. I have my doubts but will stay hopeful!

The place looks really nice and the pool is super fun. Lazy river gone wild and wave pool. Plenty of stuff for the little ones as well. Of course its all brand new, so hopefully the city makes sure to keep up maintenance on this thing.

Very nice facility.Plenty of free parking.Family changing area as well as separate mens an womens changing areas.Though this a relatively small facility they have 3 main areas for swimming.There is a shallow kiddie area, a lazy river, and a wave area.These 3 areas all connect so you can go from one to the other without getting out of the pool.Additionally they have a large hot tub area that could hold about 20 people.There is a tall long covered twisting slide as well. Unfortunately is was closed. I do not know when it is scheduled to open.There were about 12 life guards on duty, 9 of which are monitoring and rotating duties with the others.Can get crowded.There are some snack options but we did not use.

It is a great rec center, with a lazy river type water area, a lap pool, a hot tub, the latest and newest work out equipment. A big gym, and a big floor space for yoga. The staff is helpful and available!!

Fantastic center for this side of Aurora.Staff is helpful, beautiful architecture, and good location.I just wish they had toilet seat covers in the bathrooms.Im looking forward to seeing more of this center after the grand opening on May 9th of this year!

Second time in a row that we are kicked out because someone made their business in the pool. There is something wrong with the way they designed the filter system.

Fun new rec center with a lazy river a wave pool, a water slide and a 20 person hot tub. An awesome cardio room, and so much more to offer.

We paid money to get in and workout only for the manager to kick us out because we didnt have a parent. He said that you had to be 13 (I am.) He then kicked us out after me telling him I am 13. What a waste of money. Dont go here to workout. Go to the pool if anything. Dont waste your money here. The staff is terrible. I used to like it but now I have a different opinion. Dont go here. Dont waste your money. We complained to the staff along with some other people who were working out with their grandpa. I bought a pass a while back and now I want my money back. I dont want to come back but I cant get a refund.

Absolutely absurd, should have been a playscape. They charge for locks (more than entrance fee), closes the pools for seniors, have little to nothing for kids and the wave pool is dangerous for kids. Please sell to private business and tear down for a parking lot... Would be better for the community.

Don’t waste your time! Highly disappointed. It’s only been open a few weeks and the slide is already not working. Escape room is not open. Way too small of a space for the amount of people they let in, and inadequate seating. They are allowing people to bring coolers and outside food, but unfortunately not everyone cleans up after themselves so there’s food everywhere, so gross. Too many better options than here! Knowing Aurora, I suspect it will be run down in no time.

The facility is very nice and well kept, I would recommend it if you have smaller kids maybe 14 and under, my only complain is the rude lady that’s upfront.. she assumes your out of district without asking. Not friendly at all, the team in the swimming area is always very nice.

I really like this place. They have a little bit of everything. The pool is great but I was disappointed when my husband and I came in on Mother’s Day morning with our one year old to hang out in the kiddie pool which is totally separate from the other pools. We were turned away because it wasn’t open swim time until 12 pm. But why have a separate kid area if you can’t use it any time the facility is open? I really hope that they reconsider this as Sunday mornings is our time together as a family. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I have upgraded my review by one star as this last visit wasnt as horrendous as my others. Normally the pool is over crowded, gets shut down due to people pooping in the pool, the life guards dont follow the same standards across the board, and the front desk staff has no idea what is going on in the rest of the rec center. Today however, because I lied and said my son was 7, which he will be in a week, he magically can go down the water slide that has a half foot of water landing zone, without having to take an absurd swim test proving he can swim the length of a pool without stopping. Im only using the rest of my punch card then I wont frequent this center for a long time.

Rec center just opened and the water slide is already broken. The pool area is too small for the amount of people in the community it serves. Youre better off going to the Trails still.

I love the new rec center! Pickel ball is my favorite on Monday and Wednesday mornings, everyone is so nice.

Great place for kids to swim indoors, kids to go hangout in general and stay out of trouble. The facility is new, so still fresh and clean!
