This is a small, well-run historical museum with a growing, well-deserved reputation that has led to its increased prominence on both a regional and national level.

I love the White River Valley Museum! Cute historical museum with a plethora of information about people who have and continue to live in the White River Valley area (Auburn, Kent, Algona, Pacific, etc.). Lots of hands-on activities for little ones, and their rotating exhibits are lovely as well. They also put on several fun events and activities throughout the year, definitely worth a visit!

Visited Saturday. Most of Auburns and the Valleys history is presented in beautiful living displays. This brings more life to the artifacts than just being displayed using cabinets, tables or walls. The museum is small which is why I didnt give the 5th star. Worth a visit though when in Auburn.

I highly recommend visiting this true gem of local culture and history. For my first, It was a pleasure and privilege to experience the current Microcosms exhibit, a unique and excellent curation of photography by George Kinkade that also features an interactive element. I will definitely be visiting more often to explore, learn and connect.

An excellent museum to go with your kids. We figured out many facts from Pacific Northwest history and the way of living of the native peoples.

We have really enjoyed this south end treasure. It is a small museum, however the exhibits are done very well and we visit at least 3 to 4 times a year for their rotating exhibits. The staff is extremely friendly, your ticket is interactive (you will need to hunt for your assigned pioneer as you go about your tour), and they have a huge caboose and a small replica of town in the building. Lots of fun for littles to play pretend. They do have free admission once a month. It will be listed on their website. Weve happened to visit on that day once or twice and were surprised by how few people were there to take advantage of the day.

The staff were very friendly and there were lots of interesting artifacts and photos to look at. Its a relatively small place, but is definitely worth the entrance fee (if not more). We spent just over an hour here.

Very cute and informative museum on the history of Auburn. The current temporary exhibit, Death, is also quite small but very interesting. This museum is worth a quick stop if youre in town, and is a good excuse for a long bike ride from Seattle along the Interurban.

Kinda small, but then auburn is small, they have a area for temp exhibits, then a main area that tells a very tiny look into the white River areas history, only the white history, and a native revolt, they dont really show you the natives history
