Plan on being here at least 4 hours! So many amazing automobiles and stories to go with them, its a photographers paradise! Make sure you check the website for special events (like trunk or treat- where they have the backs of some vehicles open) so you can make the most of your visit. The only complaint I have is that the hoods arent open on most of the cars-a true shame to not be able to revel in the genius of the mechanics.

This is a step back into the 1930s as you walk through the original showroom! Well worth the effort to make a visit. There are several well restored treasures to see as well as some interesting print and video displays to discover. You can easily spend a full day here if youre interested in history or cars. Auburn

It was awesome to see all of the great cars! They have a car museum where you see cars ranging from the 1900 to 2000s. Lots of history to go with each car as well. They also have a truck museum as well. Over 200 trucks ranging in time period as well. Went with friends and enjoyed every minute. I never knew so many car companies existed until the depression. Cool sight to see if ever in the area.

This is a fun museum, even if you aren’t an automobile enthusiast. As someone who loves the aesthetic of the very early cars and the time period they were created, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. They do have something for all ages from interactive exhibits for kids to racing cars and displays. The fact that the museum was formerly a showroom as well as offices, warehouse/factory makes it a great museum experience.

This was such a wonderful experience! If you are into automotive, decorative design, 20s-30s, or Indiana history this is a place to visit. We tried to think of something that the whole family would enjoy on Labor Day since it was rainy, we ended up here! It was the most enjoyable activity we have done all together in a long time. So much to see & learn. There is also the Automotive museum right behind this one. You can purchase tickets together to save money. Both places are so exciting and interesting, but you are definitely gonna want to make it a day trip if you go to both! We are actually planning to go back in a couple weeks so that we can go for the day and just grab something to eat in between going from one building to the other. Take a day and enjoy walking into the past.

In addition, the building is quite interesting as well. When we entered, my wife said the Duesenbergs would be her favorites. If you are a lover of Indiana made cars, or just early 1900s American cars, then this is a must visit! Housed in the former dealer showroom/ corporate offices of Cord, Auburn, Duesenberg automobiles this museum, with its Art Deco stylings and multitude of beautiful pre-WWII cars is a treasure just waiting to be gazed upon. The entrance fee is minimal and well worth it to see three floors of wonderfully restored autos from the 1920s and 30s. While you are there make time to also visit the National Auto and Truck Museum located in the former service building of the Cord, Auburn, Duesenberg factory complex.

Indiana is auto fan heaven. Two of the best automobile museums in the country are near each other. If you visit the ACD Museum, take time to go to South Bend and visit the Studebaker National Museum, two magnificent museums. The ACD Museum is housed in the Auburn Auotmobile headquarters building. A truly beautiful building with a great collection. We are blessed that this structure survived, and today serves as the perfect place to house the collection. Take your time, its beautiful.

Well worth the price of admission. The museum is rich with pre WW1 vehicles and brief descriptions of the period in time to include economic comparisons. The first and third floors have cars on display. The third floor also includes life size technical drawings of Duesenbergs, clay and wood models of the prototype stages, hubcap and hood ornment designs. The second floor, more like a landing, has automotive art from the period advertising the vehicle. Allocate at least 3-4 hours to see everything and take pictures.

To say that I enjoyed my time here is putting it mild. Two things you have to love to appreciate this, cars and history. They focus very much on three brands of cars that were crucial in the early automotive industry but are no longer in business. There is a great number of antique cars here, many restored, some in original condition. Each car has a history of some sort to go with it.They also have a floor with many other brands and a great deal of history to go with them. Truly a gem in the Midwest.

My first recollection of the Duesenberg name was the Peter OToole movie The Stunt Man. So when I was on my way to a conference in Columbus and saw a sign for the museum as I passed through Fort Wayne, I decided Id make it part of my return trip. I was not disappointed with that decision. The building itself is a great example of art deco architecture. The collection of vehicles inside was simply amazing. They had more than Auburns, Cords, and Duesenbergs, but that was the majority of the collection (of course). For someone who didnt know a lot about the cars beyond seeing one in a movie, I was impressed with some of the technology that went into them. The steered headlights was one example of an ahead of its time automotive tech. The museum has a lot of information on the automotive industry in Indianas past, which I found really interesting since thats not something most people ever heard about. When one thinks of automotive industry its all about Detroit. If youre into classic, early production cars, you should make this a destination.

Classy establishment that is a great venue for events. The local high school used to have prom here, lots of wedding receptions, etc. The ACD museum is rich with history and classic. Moreover, it is a beautiful and glamorous museum with lots of cool information including interactive touch screens, videos being played, and tons of gorgeous cars- old, older, and oldest. Exhibitions include the main showroom, extremely older cars, a gallery, race cars, and rooms that preserve the office space and work rooms that were once the old factory. They also have the NATMUS museum on the same property, but you have to pay an additional fee to get into that museum. Tons of super helpful volunteers are also there, especially Glenn!
