The tall lightskinned African American promoter on Sundays has a bad attitude and just downright rude.

Such a great lounge. Great music and wonderful staff. Some nights there is a dress code but all in all a place I think you should try out.

Its great place to chill. Have your party at. With no one bothering you you have personal security.. With the VIP section for you and only your guest

Went for a day party, usually when the bouncer is cool it dictates how my night is going to go, had a great time on a Sunday!! Very chill and lowkey

Nice evening lounge, they have several floors/rooms with different djs and play several different genres of music at the same time. They have multiple bars throughout the lounge also, Its like a party in a party!

The Lava Lounge is cool. I went to a day party. Basically a daytime club. Go...check it out and have a good time. Just be prepared to (1) pay for parking (2) pay at least $9 for watered down drinks and (3) massive crowd.But the music was cool and so was the crowd.

This is a nice little spot. I didn’t like that some girl tried to fight my friend but security is on point of things and they make sure everyone is okay. Any other club would have thrown everyone out or caused a big scene. They was caring and made sure no one hurt.

Finally, a non-pretentious spot full of friendly faces who love to dance! We came around 11pm on a Saturday and there was no line and aa $10 cover. Id recommend this place for solo travelers or visitors to ATL looking for a fun spot to dance and drink for reasonable prices.

Can hear myself think much less have any small talk. What’s with that DJ, can he do a little bit more of something else? Nothing special just loud on creative sound. New Orleans rocks.

Somehow still rockin after all these years! Great staff, and lots of nooks to hide out in. The Sunday afternoon party is packed.Not my favorite music, but its hit or miss. Better for a large group to take over and do VIP...

The music was great!! However, towards the end of night —while leaving —bouncer and cop played power dynamic on a group of 5 women giving instructions in a condescending manner (then got upset when one of the women in the group repeated his phrase twice “enter at your own risk”). Bouncers and officers at clubs should provide a safe haven for attendees, which included treating all women with respect. This interaction makes me weary of returning to this location as cop and bouncer made it clear with their statements that “women are the cause of all problems— including fights between men,” making me and others question our safety at this lounge.

Lava lounge itself doesnt exist anymore. Its a tiki bar now with club dancing downstairs on weekends.

Its pretty good bar. But small no seating. And bottom shelf drinks only. No patron, no 1800, no grey goose. Ect

Its a dope place. Theres three floors, different music on each floor. They have a really nice/large outside patio area as well. They could use more bartenders, the wait was pretty long, but the vibe is really dope.

Music was good. Has multiple levels of music. Has a nice set up. They have multiple bars, so that was a plus. We got there after midnight, so it wasnt as busy. Weather could have something to do with it.

Went on a Sunday night. 3 floors, Great music, minimal seating, large crowd... not so female friendly. The guys are VERY aggressive.I was sitting down, smoking a hookah when the promoter Jay came over and demanded my seat then started smoking my hookah.It was bizarre. I told him it was mine and that I had a receipt. He ignored me and started shouting that theyd bring another one.A waitress came over and when I explained what was going on she said hed never take a hookah from a woman. She then proceeded to ask me how I know it was mine.Unbelievable.Ive lived in atlanta my entire life and have never been disrespected by any promoter ever.I attempted to speak to Nash, the manager and he was no where to be found.It was a horrific experience. Especially as a woman.Reading other reviews confirms that it isnt just me. Women arent being respected in this environment and the staff is lackluster at best.

Lava has been remodeled. Its great now! Nice small bar! Prices decent for the high priced Atlanta bar scene. My only complaint is they have very cheap liquor that seems to make me nauseous every time. You cant order a name brand liquor such as 1800,disorono,sky blue gin, . Only cheap liquor bottom shelf available.

Way too crowded. Im sure if there was a fire most of us would have died.

Place was jumping, great music and staff. The downside extremely overcrowded, staff trying to make it through the tight crowd with hookah coals burning is a recipe for disaster. If this club managed their crowd intake better, it would be one of the best in ATLANTA.

I have been there only once and that night that I went my friend was celebrating her birthday in which she booked a section that to me seemed overly priced. However we had a great night that night but for that place I think their sections are too much.

Went here for a day party... It was just okay. No where to really sit . Everything had a reserved sign on it. So we ended up staying downstairs the whole day.

This lounge has 3 levels. The first is the club, which was closed when I visited, the main dj area then an upstairs lounge that opens into an open air seating area. The drinks were what I expect for a lounge in midtown ( long island iced tea- $10). The music ranged from 1990 to today so very mixed.

Me and my friends came to this venue and had incredible service. A server by the name of Sedona have great service and was very hospitable. I would attend this place again.

Went here this past weekend with my best friend who was in town visiting. I loved the feel of this place and how many different floors and rooms there were to mingle in. There are various bartenders and plenty of sociable people all just there to have a great time. The only downfall was a few of the very creepy, clingy, older men. No offense to all of them! Just the 2-3 that followed us around pleading for us to dance with them. Great atmosphere and drinks! Definitely for the grown and sexy. Id definitely say go for the heels ladies!

The guys wont give us a break! They were all over us. Its like they never seen beautiful women before. DJ could of done a better job with the music but it looks like they cater for a certain type of ppl. Would not be returning

This club is a judgment free place so leave your inhibitions behind. The music is awesome, they have DJs who do live mixing. They have a VIP lounge on the upper level. Bathrooms could use some improvement. Smoking is permitted inside, so it can get suffocating at times.

I came here in hopes of having a good time. It was whack and the employees who work there are extremely rude. Parking is impossible. Wont be returning.

It was better when it was Cosmo Lava. It had more rooms, more space and just had a more upscale vibe. They server drinks in small plastic cups instead of glasses. They said they have multiple DJs but I was there til 12 and there was only one DJ playing Trap and Rap no top 40 or EDM. I wont be going back unless they get new management or ownership.

We have been to must better club. But we found a way to have fun

Not bad. Parking is 15 to 20 which is rediculous so I wont be back. However the atmosphere was nice. Multi level venue. Drink prices START at 12dol. So between 15 to park and 12 for a drink your out 30 buck off the top!

Awesome place to go on a Sunday when they have day parties. Drinks are a little overpriced, but the ppl are relatively nice. Bring a personal fan in the summer. It gets hot with the doors open

Had a good time until we were ready to leave the bouncer was an absolute d*ck to me and my friends as we were waiting for our Uber to leave. Ive never experienced someone being as out right threatening as that and I was honestly scared for my safety. Not coming back.

I expected more from this lounge. I attended a bar tours on Halloween. The music was lame and they never kept a song on for longer than 1 minute. So you couldnt get your groove on to a beat. Bathrooms are easily accessible, which was nice. I did like the bar.

Screw this place. I just spent money on vip. At the end they would not let me use the bathroom after. After 300 bucks plus because i also got hooka and beer they denied me to use the bathroom after all that money i spent. I come from another state and this is the treatment i get. Welll screw this place. And i tipped 20 percent. I will never come here again... i will never reccomend.... karma is real.

They offered an all you can eat crab legs for $25 but don’t even mention that they don’t have any utensils to open them with or any butter. Waste of money smh

Came here to dance recently for my bachelorette party. There was no cover fee at the door. The bartender was SUPER nice and made us feel so welcome, I wish I would have gotten his name! The music and the crowd were a lot of fun and we had a great evening! There ended up being several different groups of brides/bachelorette parties going on that same evening and we had a blast there! I would definitely return for a girls night out.

I was super excited to celebrate my birthday there. Once my group of friends arrived the upstairs, the area was half prepared. The bar was half stocked. My guest and I understood and waited for the staff to get prepared. ordered a round of patron for everyone. ( mind you I am a bartender) THE SHOTS WERE DISGUSTING! IT WAS NOT PATRON! So my friend ordered a single drink thinking maybe it was a mistake.. she ordered a tequila sunrise..HORRIBLE! we gave it a final try with the bartender and ordered a midori sour... whyyyyyyyyy she looked confused as to what goes in the drink... I told her! It was okay. THE ICING ON THIS DRY A** CAKE for me was when we wanted to ordered some type of food to compliment the alcohol that we consumed...THEY DIDNT SERVE ANY FOOD!! I repeat NO FOOD OF SOME SORT. No fries! No wings! No sandwiches! No crackers! No NOTHING! If i didnt have a a large party there..i would have left! Only reason why Im giving this place 2 stars in because the music was okay. This place has so much potential but choose not to execute.

Aweful staff. I had free admission before 11:00. By the time got there it was before 11, however, the line was long and had to wait for couple of miniutes. I checked in at 11:05 and the lady at the entrance asked for 10$ cover with a terrible attitude. I refused and headed home. Id rather sleep in my comfy bed than spending time in a place with such staff.
