Absolute hidden gem in Atlanta. Was shocked when we first drove past it.... I thought I had some how flown over to Europe again. Made a point of stopping close by and taking a walk through the park and time to enjoy the museum and surrounding areas. Amazed at how few people were enjoying the wonder open areas and sites of their own city.... need more places like this.

This museum is extremely basic, very compact, and does not contain very much entertainment value at all... Perhaps my expectations were too high, but this was not the tourist draw that I thought it would be.

Spectacular view from a lens. I had my wedding here. From the view it looks like I was in another place rather than in the middle of Atlanta. So Beautiful.

Great museum to learn about the history of the city of Atlanta. It is also open on a Monday so if you are touristing in Atlanta on a Monday you dont just have to go to the World of Coca-cola you can go learn some real history about one of the USs major cities. Also great grounds and lovely rotating exhibits.

Heard about this museum from a local bartender and we were here on vacation so we took her advice got tickets through Groupon and headed over. Walking in we thought it was going to be more and a bit larger however the gentleman at the front desk said he had a few moments and asked if we would like a tour!? 2 hours later we finished up and forgive us but we are terrible with names this gentleman was Full of information, dates, and the history of Georgia & Atlanta. Absolutely made the experience! Cant thank him enough for taking time out of his day to give us the full tour and experience!

This is a relatively new arch, I believe it opened in 2008. It is based off the arch of Titus in Rome, which comes full circle since we were blessed to see it a few weeks ago. It is located right outside of Atlantic station. Its a shame, since it doesnt seem to be a huge tourist attraction. It was nice since I was able to take pictures with no one in the background.

Its a short walk from the Atlantic Station shopping complex/mall or whatever its called. It says they have a museum but its closed late. I didnt get to see it but the gate is an engineering masterpiece. Ample lighting at night so its still nice to take photos late.

Amazing Compilation of Georgia and World HistoryI had a fantastic time walking through history on the first level of this amazing structure. The collections are beautiful, and the staff is very nice and knowledgeable. I recommend a tour with Richard, or the president of the museum, Rodney Cook, if you can book him!

It has a bridge to look over the little pond with walking trail around it. Just a very small park in the area to sit on benches and walk the dog if you have one. They also do event bookings if needed for outdoor events.

Remarkable. I have to return. The Lion tells his- story of the Jungle, not the gazelle. Ill be back to spend a day. Gazelle that I am, no one wrote me down from head to foot. Tje expected pieces of me are there: Clarence Thomas and the Gullah community of Pinpoint, Georgia; the Dobbs Family, Herndon, MLK (sort of)....Fascinating exclusion of certain embarassments and abominations. The past is not dead, its not even past. . Bring your camera, a note pad and audio. It may take several trips. Who knew there was a French Settlement here, a Spanish culture here, obviously a strong indigenous culture here and not just Echota and the Cherokee nation! So much explained here in these extraordinary displays. And the building is an architecturally stunning place to store the patrimony of Western cvilization from its origins in Greek mythology and the godhead Zeus to King Georges agraian colony . Patrimony. Look that up.

Full disclosure, not ordinarily much of a museum type person and this museum in particular hasnt got much on display. However, its size is actually a strength because the docent gave us an amazing tour with really interesting anecdotes about historical and contemporary figures, he even brought us up on the roof! Id say its a toss-up, if you can go when its not busy and you can really engage with the people that run it I would recommend it otherwise Id probably skip it since Atlanta has so many other great museums.

Great place with many places to see. I would love to come back to take pictures outside. This place is in great location with views of downtown Atlanta and Atlantic Station. You call walk downtown from this place also. This would be called a hidden gem because of the location. All you have to do is follow the arch and walk below to find this place. I found places to charge my phone outside also.

Very nice location. Im a photographer so I look for locations that are open to the public. While there we were approached asking for a permit...so I asked where its at on the website that states permit required, I was told hes working on getting it on the site... I asked because it doesnt state on the site that its required because I checked before scheduling the shoot. Other then that very nice location, I would go back

The entire museum is located in the arch, so you can tell at a glance the place isnt very big. If only one person is working (a common occurrence), you may only be allowed to see the lower floor exhibits. Its something to do if youre looking to kill some time at Atlantic Station, but I wouldnt make it a destination.
