I attended the Kid Koala Satellite Turntable Orchestra performance which had the entire audience seated on stage with Kid Koala. The experience was wholly unique and fun! The arts center itself was easy to find, filled with pleasant employees and clean, what more could I ask for?

The Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech in Atlanta is an amazing venue. There is not a bad view in the 900-seat house and the acoustics are wonderful. I performed there recently for Georgia Techs annual Transformative Narratives Story Crawl. I was honored to be one of the headliners at the 3 Day, 7 event story festival. In the Spirit , a story and song duo from Chicago and New York city-based multi award-winning storyteller Jamie Brickhouse headlined as well. There were also seven outstanding local storytellers on the program. Whatever your taste - music, dance or drama - the F e r s t Center for the Arts is sure to please. The parking lot and parking decks are available a short walk from the venue. There is easy access to the location from North Avenue via Cherry Street. Check out the the Georgia Tech Story Crawl and plan to attend next time. There are workshops with Master coaches as well as open mic opportunities with great hospitality and comradery all round.

This a good venue for shows. The theatre is cozy and clean. The seats are a bit small. The lighting and Orchestra was great, this theatre has a great sound system. The show I attend was the first noel Christmas show. It was a good performance with a talented cast and wonderful songs. The parking was closed by, they have paid parking in front of the theatre and the park deck a short distance away is free. Overall all its a good theatre. I do suggestion they try to have better concession area. Concession was slow and disorganized but the food and drinks were reasonable priced.

Great medium sized concert hall. They attract great performances. They open the doors 15 minutes prior to the show, so if you need to arrive early to pick up tickets, expect to stand around waiting. Parking is convenient on campus and the walk isnt too far.

Lo
Review №39

Perfect venue for the dance contest we attended. Comfortable lobby seats for the dance families, bathrooms could have been serviced a little more often, stadium style seating in auditorium had perfect views to the stage area from each seat (though opera glasses or binoculars help if youre toward the back). My only grief was that if you are there in a Sunday ... all day... for a contest or like production, there is NO FOOD to be found without at least a 3/3 mile walk. The Ga Tech student center shares the courtyard area but the food putlets are closed on sundays.

This is a great venue for smaller productions. Recently, parking lot access at the adjacent lot/deck has under-performed and Georgia Tech should address this because it is an unreasonable and unpleasant burden. Recent performance of C.S. Lewis Most Reluctant Convert had adjacent streets gridlocked because of extremely slow parking lot admittance. For this reason show up early to shows. The theater itself warrants 5 stars. Cozy, no bad seats and acoustics are better than most Atlanta venues (which isnt saying much, lol).Music, dance, theater, poetry and stage artists are well presented at the Ferst Center. Highly recommend.Over the years we have enjoyed seeing the following acts at the Ferst Center: BBVD (Big Bad VooDoo Daddy), the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Jake Shimabukuro, Penn & Teller, Flying Karamazov Bros., Bill Cosby, Pilobus, Paula Poundstone, and others...
