This trail is well groomed, has just the right amount of slope, stays shaded most of the time, provides some options to lengthen or shorten it and has some nice views.

Great short hike. Variety of environments. Varying distances to choose from. Moderate incline on the way up and downhill most of the way down. The midportion would be pretty hot when the weather is above 85 or so because its exposed. Lower part is mostly in the trees.

We love to hike the three bridges trail with our pup and then let him take a little dip in the creek after! Short easy hike and pretty setting right here in Atascadero.

Review №13

Very good trail for a couple of hours of hiking. Elevation gain of 669 feet, distance of 3.5 miles. Probably not a trail you would take when temperatures exceed 85 degrees, but much of the year it would be fine. We went on a Monday afternoon in September and saw only 2 other people. A bit dusty at times, but not awful. Probably a little too challenging for a kid under 8 years old.

Great hike just outside of Atascadero. Wide trail that is routinely maintained, with signs along the way describing local plant life. The lower section zig zags up through a grassy grove of blue oak trees. The upper section goes through sections of chaparral intermixed with pockets of dense oak groves. Toward the top there is a beautiful cluster of madrone trees. And at the very top, a vista looking over much of north county with a sign that highlights local landmarks.I dropped a star because the trail parking lot is not always open. The slightest rain closes the parking lot. This just causes people to park elsewhere to access the trail.

This was a great little hike with multiple options with various options with varying levels of difficulty. It was mostly shaded which is a huge plus, especially in the summer!

This is a great trail with plenty of Oaks, wildflowers, pines, squirrels, bunnies in spots and amazing scenery at the top. Going up its all uphill so a very good heart workout. Dogs are allowed on this trail on leash, you will see runners and other friendly hikers along the way. I walk this one with my hiking boots as its easier on the knees and ankles. I also see many hikers with trekking poles which is helpful. Love this hike and highly recommend! Not super long, but your first time walking it youll start wondering where is the top? Are we close yet? lol

First, I am not sure why some revie claimed this okace is hard to find. There are signs posted through out the neighborhood and Google map knows exactly where the parking is. The trail is well maintained. Interpretive signs throughput the trail so give you better understanding of the eco system in that area. Trail ends at the panoramic view point at the top. If you are a trail runner like me, the grade is challenging but not punishing. I ran up and back in 30+ mins each many photo stops. All in all, very beautiful and nice hike. There is a seasonal stream crossing. It is advisable to check with Three Bridges website to find out if the trail is closed due to high water level.

The trail is well kept and very enjoyable. While a bit narrow for larger groups or people with pets, it was easy enough for my mother (68) to not need a break. There are many local nature facts along the trail for anyone seeking knowledge of the local environment. The view from the top was more breathtaking than I had imagined and the breeze was quite cooling. Definitely worth the short trek.

Review №54

This trail was amazing. A lot of work went into it, and it shows. Im kind of new to hiking, but I really enjoyed this. To me, this trail is North San Luis Obispo county. It has all kinds of oaks, scrub brush, rocks and just brown-ness that is my home. I loved walking through it. The view at the top is worth the walk. The trail is dog friendly, as well as horse and bike. I am glad we did not meet any bike riders though, as that seems like the trail would be a little to narrow for that, and way to popular with walkers. I highly recommend this
