I had never mountain biked before I came here and was very pleasantly surprised that the trails were manageable for a complete beginner like me. It was also really nice that some of the trails are intermediate level so as I got more comfortable I could try more difficult trails/tricks. I’ll definitely be back!

Great bike park. Lots of options. Have a lot of places for kids/beginners and bigger stuff for the more advanced riders. Great community events and social media presence. Clean and relaxed environment. .

As locals, we love having a full bike park just 10 minutes from the house--pump tracks, single trails, skill park and friendly, fantastic staff. Our son goes to camp here all summer, and I ride with him several afternoons a week after work. Definitely consider the annual pass, as the more you know the park, the more you realize it has to offer. UPDATE: PLEASE CONSIDER EXTENDING CAMP NOW THAT SCHOOLS HAVE MOVED TO ONLINE LEARNING! Perhaps two sessions a day to handle the crowds (morning group, afternoon group) or afternoons or... WE WILL SIGN UP! Our children will need more than just outside time with homeschooling, but outside time that builds skills and involves learning.

They do a jump night during the summers that is fun and well attended. It’s a fun little park. They’ve worked hard on it. There are lots of little features to work on things like jumping and dropping. They do have a more advanced jump line... but that seems to be it for very advanced features.

Super affordable, Absolute must for MTBers, if youre in the area. Great beginner trail sections, wooden features, dirt pump tracks, dirt jumps, from beginner to professional, and even an XC trail. Didnt get to ride all of the park as I went down on a dirt jump and had to go get tree stitches in my elbow. Id go back every day if we didnt live nine hours away.

Great bike park with multiple pump tracks, singletrack trails, and kids tracks. One of the few parks weve been to with bicycle tracks specifically for the little ones. My kids loved it! The whole park is covered in well marked mountain bike tracks and trails divided up by skill level. You can rent bikes or bring your own to ride. Tons of fun for beginners or advanced riders!

I brought my son out here to fight boredom and get some exercise and accomplished both. In addition we had a great deal of fun and met some great people!Upon arrival my son decided to inform me that his brakes werent working at all. There we were with no tools or ability to continue riding. Luckily an employee at the park named Collin came to the rescue. He had my sons bike stopping better than ever.Great facility. Great people. Great tracks. 3 tons of fun!

Short trails with overgrown areas that should be kept up with, but we managed to make the best of the trip. There are still some nice opportunities to work on skills. The staff in the gift shop were not friendly. The dirt jumps were closed due to rain the morning before, so plan accordingly with weather.

It was fantastic I didnt have a bike though so the jumps and other features were not quite as sweet and other peoples responses were anything from utter confusion to hey dude, these trails are not for people skipping prancing or sashaying, you need to be on a mountain bike my bad, lesson learned.

Folks here are great. Really went the distance to keep things safe right now, COVID-wise. Emmerick and Mr. Kevin were really encouraging to my child and Mr. Kevin was especially good at breaking down the small parts of hard moves so my child could experience success and accomplish new skills. Thanks, KOLO!

Awesome bicycling experience! Registration and sign in is made very easy after you give all the required information just one time. I bring my own bikes but they have a pretty good selection of rental bikes at fair prices for you to choose from. They have a nice selection of souvenirs to take home as well, t-shirts, stickers, water bottles, socks, etc. As for the bike riding aspect, there is something for riders of all skill levels! It has pump tracks, cross country trails, enduro trails with technical features, an obsticle course, and my personal favorite, the dirt jumps! Theres small tabletops, big table tops, and big gap jumps. You can learn to catch air here, or dial in your tricks on the big air jumps, nobody judges you here, just encouragement! Im sure if anyone was causing problems or bullying the staff would promptly handle it. I also dont have to worry about my vehicle being robbed in the parking lot while Im off in a different section of the park. I do wish it was a bit cheaper but for all you get its well worth it. Closest place to Andrews NC with public access dirt jumps. The whole park is pretty well maintained.

Was really excited to come & ride here. Arrived at 3:30 & was told that they were closing early and I was unable to rent for the hour and a half. The facility looked really nice & again, was really excited to ride but it seemed as though they did not want to go through the hassle of renting a bike for so little time.

The wooden ride off and the pump track out front were fun but Kolo has a 3 bears issue where the middle bear ran away. The easy bear stands by your ride off as I enjoyed experimenting with speed on a dirt jump bike. The real dirt jumps though do not have beginner level lines. In fact heel to toe they range from 14 to 17 feet long and are made like all of the others with the severe rounded hip right before the transition on the landing.I actually got more out of the BMX track at home but I also have a well lipped ramp jump which has a nice roll in and is by itself at home. It measures maybe 10 to 14 feet to the landing but that landing is much less tall than my ramp as I am just starting out.Bryce mountain in Basye, Va understands how to make jumps beginners can do. And Big Creek in Roswell, Ga is also friendlier to beginners jump wise.Dont set your kids loose on some of the trails. When they say blue they really mean it. I enjoyed them but they tested me somewhat and I mean bike skills wise on a full suspension bike. I like jumping out of the wooden berm.I got my $19 worth. I will put more work into my own dirt jump at home. Barn burner now worries me more. I guess I will be stuck rolling it maybe or picking my jumps.

We came to kolo park at a little aftet 2. Shortly after arricing iy startef raibing heavy. Wr only nade 3 rounds on the second track before leaving. We waited ovet an hour at a local restaurant to see if it would clear anf it didnt. I adked for a raincheck and they didnt offer one so we were out $14 dollars and the kids were extremely upset. Needlesd to say we eill not be back. A waist of travel time and money.
