Very cool outdoor venue. Just discovered it even though its been down the street from me for over a year. Great space on the river, music, and cool people. Very dog friendly and they have disc golf baskets up as well as cornhole. Will definitely be back!

We had a great time. Kayaking down the French Broad River on a beautiful day. Very relaxing and scenic. I recommend it!

Very nice bike path. Iots of people. On the day we were riding it had rained. There were deep puddles and we were covered in mud.

The park is nice. Unfortunately, the French Broad River is pretty polluted. There are areas near the river that have an unpleasant odor. This area is very busy in the summer.

Easy family walk for 3 generations of us. Stroller friendly.

Beautiful little park and pathway. But it was unprepared for the holiday traffic. There were not sufficient trash receptacles. People, as they often do, left trash everywhere. Additionally, there was no toilet paper in the port-a-potty. Sad first impression of the place.

Lovely trail! Some highway noise. Some construction noise at the time of the posting.

Good location for a take in or out of the French Broad river. Stairs are steep but passable. There is one portable toilet, no other facilities.The walking/running/biking path is in good condition and connects to Carrier park and beyond.

Beautiful little park close to downtown Asheville. Took my dog on a short walk by the creek. If youre in a hurry, it works well.

Good little park with a Greenway that connects it to two other parks- Carrier Park and French Broad River Park. - I wouldnt travel just to visit this park but if youre in the area and looking for a place to run, try out your kiddos training wheels or walk your dog Id recommend it. I had a 20 mile run planned the day I visited Asheville so I parked my car at hominy and ran the trail several times starting at 8am. With the sun up and plenty of people around I felt safe.

Grew up in West Asheville. Still get out of the river there. Started canoeing when I was 16 years old Im 52 now. Love it and always will!

Bathrooms seem dingy. The tree seem like all one species to me they tend to look sick droopy to me like they do not do well with all the moisture and periodic flooding. I do like the gazebo and the adjoining dog park.

Nice place to end up after hiking the Greenway. Some benches...nice rivet views. Limited parking...good ...less people.

Great place beautiful Park easy to get out of your boat and back onto dry land if you are floating the river

This is a small park that is used for launching and terminating paddle trips down the French Broad River. Its also one end of the French Broad River Greenway, a popular walking and biking trail. There is only about ten parking spots for vehicles, so most people who are hiking and biking the trail use the parking lot at Carrier Park, which is at the midpoint of the Greenway.

Probably one of the coolest places in Asheville. Enjoy it before the town ruins it.

Put-in spot for French Broad and other groups looking to tube/kayak/canoe/paddle board down the French Broad....honestly not sure if there was other stuff or not. We were some of the canoe-ers putting in lol

Hominy Creek River Park is a nice park with picnic tables. the water access is a stairs (good for tubes but a bit hard for kayaks when busy). the park also has access to the French Broad River Green way. the -1 star is for no restroomsUpdate: Porta potty on site

Great place to walk a dog, take a run or bike ride, even launch a canoe. A little worse for wear the days after the high water.

Great take out after floating through the Biltmore Estate.PARKING is a problem. Especially, if you have a trailer.The boat ramp is designed for Kayaks, Canoes and tubes. A little tough for drift boats and rafts, but doable with a winch.

Fun French broad River takeout. Good sandwich and tasty beer.

Not much here for facilities. There’s a few picnic tables and a portapotty. But the nice thing is that this is one end of the greenway that connects to Carrier Park and the French Broad Dog Park. The trail is paved and shady. We actually like to park at the dog park and ride bikes to Hominy Creek, then stop for a beer at French Broad Outfitters before heading back.

Good beer on tap. Pork food truck with amazing Italian sub. Hot feet in a cool creek. Nice spot.

The guys that run the place are nice and accomodating , we have our own boat but they took us up river for a small fee...the French broad isnt much excitement and the homeless camps along the downtown section of the river sure ruin the experience...I lije the outfitter but cant recommend the city part of the river as a good choice....

My favorite place to start a few hours of tubing (Hominy Park to French Broad Outfitters).

Great place to put in for river tubing. We ended right by New Belgium brewing and it was a great time.

It was late in the day but we still wanted on the water. At their recommendation we did 24 hour rental and Ubered back.We will be back.

Great place to fish, kayak, tube, or just walk your dog. Free live music Saturday evenings. One of our favorite spots!

The staff here is very helpful and friendly. The food truck is delicious.

Better place for a hike or walk

This is a nice off the beat place to walk your dog or check out the river.

As an end point of a long trail and also the road coming in, this is out of the way place but worth finding. A connection to the path on the other side of Brevard Road is needed.

Used to be a beautiful safe place now theres muggings killings knifings the weirdos in the freaks and the criminals have taken it over not recommended

This has always been my favorite part of the Greenway with a pretty winding trail between tall trees along the river.

Walked Carrier Park a million times but always thought that the path ended at the RV park. Nice secluded walk along the river to get to Hominy Creek Park

So lucky to have a nice riverside trail and park this close to west asheville. Only problem is that we dont have more of these.
