Great place to walk. Nice view of the water. Lovely trees. Not too long a walk, especially for young children. Just right.
Very nice local walk. Good views of the reservoir and links up well to other conservation land.
I did a one mile loop around this nice reservoir today for the first time and I loved it.
Very good place to take a walk and bike at!
The perimeter trail is almost a mile, about half of it is wide crushed gravel and the other half a dirt path. A hike here could be easily combined with nearby Mt. Gilboa, Whipple Hill or Arlington Great Meadows conservation lands. During the warmer months, it is a favored spot for birdwatching due to the close proximity of farmland, woodlands and water. In a normal summer, the town of Arlington maintains a swimming area, separate from the reservoir proper, that you can pay a reasonable one time fee or season-long membership to use. There are also two playgrounds, one along Lowell Ave and one on the opposite side of the reservoir on S. Rindge, both of which with parking. Additional parking can be found at Hurd Field.
This is nice place to go in summertime we really loved it.
The reservoir is a nice place to swim and had a pretty nice playground. Although, there are lots of geese that wonder around you. This is a great place to bring your kids but if you want a relaxing place to swim this is not for you.
This place is okay. Its the size of a large pond. Depending on where you are the shore can be pretty nasty though. Its great for going on a run as it is nice a cool because of the water and shade from trees. You can also roughly measure your distance since one lap around the res is about one mile.
I go here frequently to walk my dogs. They get to have fun and play with other dogs. It is also great exercise and I sometimes do fitness training here. I also get several opportunities to take photos. I also have fun working out here doing the full course.
Scenic, not too long of a walk. Dog friendly.
Good place for a short walk around the reservoir. Im the summer you can swim here too.
The res path is perfect for walking or running, (one loop ~ .9 mile) with the water providing an ever changing attendance of ducks, geese and the occasional kayak.
Trail upgrades coming so everyone can enjoy this nearly one mile loop.
Only the walk path is available, the beach and playground is under construction
Beautiful, please help keep clean
Parking lot in horrible condition,
Cute for being near city but for us county folks - meh. Small 15 min walk around a body of water without much else to see.
Good place to walk and fish.
Natural beauty right in the neighborhood!
A nice walking path atound the water. Parking is available for free. Town beach is a pay for use. You would need to call the Arlington recreation department to find out acess and fees.
Great for Walking.
Beautiful little reservoir thats very kid friendly!
Great place for a walk theres a ton of fun nature to see.
I don’t like that they put chlorine in the pond... and they are very very strikt about their rules...nice beach and really nice playground though. And it’s nice that you can buy snacks there, that’s rare here on beaches
Been going here for 32 years, first with my son Cole as a baby and now with Millie my sweet beautiful dog..She loves it there..lots of doggie smells there....Paige:)
The Res has been drawn down very low. Come by and see whats under the water all summer.
We had fun walking on the ice. Enjoyable place to explore in the cold.
Birds were in full throat this morning!! Wonderful place.
Its such a great place to go and spend the day or an afternoon. Terrific place for kids to swim, play in the sand and theres even a playground. There are bathrooms and outdoor showers as well. Plenty of parking in the lot as well as on the street. One of my favorite places to go all summer.
Good for family with young kids. Plenty of playground for them, safe area for swimming, soft sand. 5 dollars fee at the entrance, can spend a big day there with picnic, small bar/snack stand there.
This is a great park in the off season!
The man made swim area is frankly amazing. Its safe for everyone, and the price is enough to keep people who have no respect for beaches or parks away.
Went on a very grey day but lovely staff accommodated us, though we were the only visitors. Very pleasant, quiet place for a swim. Lots of wildlife. Id go again.
Great spot for kids!
Nice place to walk dog after hours.
Great for bringing your dog
Was a fabulous Spring day to take a walk around the reservoir- soon it will be too crowded
Chlorinated lake water, but outdated facilities. Up for renovation in August 2019.
Great spot for swimming when you have small kids. Three life guards on a protected, clean beach. Not good for adult swimming since its very small.
Very relaxing
Very nice path around the reservoir. Dog walkers keep their pets on a leash. Swans and ducks live on the water.
I came here to fish. I caught one on the second time here.
Nice place.
Great swimming beachClean, professional staff
Great beach without the long drive, children enter the water and dont emerge for hours and beg to stay or comeback the next day, Great for Adult socialization
Great place to jog
Amazing public resource with four season passive and active recreation.
This beach is the best beach of fresh water i have been to in a long time great for little kids
Its a nice park for a walk around the reservoir
Relaxing for me...safe and fun for kids!! The perfect place!
Clean, great for dogs, nice views of water
It gets really packed
Amazing place
Great place to walk and bird watch.
Volunteered to canoe out and pick invasive water chesnuts. Very fun!
Hands down the best reservoir in Arlington.
Stunning
Great little beach for kids
Nice sandy beach, snacks and changing room available, although the changing room is a little grotty.
An under-utlized local resource. Needs to be rethought.
Peaceful
Nice place to relax
Nature, walking path, beach, and playground. Who could ask for more?
The beach is clean
Prefect place for little kids! Lifeguards, snack shack and bathroom make it ideal!
