The staff are generally nice, but somewhat helpless. The theater is understaffed and under-attended. The facility is comfortable, but feels old, almost like a haunted house in an abandoned theater. All things considered, this is a great theater to come to if you have a movie pass. Usually get good seats that recline with little notice.

The location of this movie theater cant be beat, but the customer service is why Im giving this low review.Recently, I paid to see a movie after work with a friend. The theater was super hot, but it was a cold night, so I tried to just ignore that. However, during a very emotional scene at the end of the movie when the theater is supposed to be quiet, all I can hear is the action movie taking place in the connecting theater. You could hear the dialogue and all of the explosions. It was beyond distracting.I tried to find someone to mention this to at the theater, but no one was there except for people working concessions (who I didnt think needed to hear this specific complaint). So, as soon as I got home I reached out to the customer service email listed on the website. They were not helpful at all. They said because I stayed for more than 20-40 minutes of the movie that theres nothing I can do. I even tried to explain to them that this didnt happen during that part of the movie, but they kept responding with their generic response thats supposed to get me to move-on. It was so frustrating, especially when I would give specific details and only receive back I hope your next visit is enjoyable. It felt the most condescending.

Regal Ballston Quarter is a fine movie theater experience. Heres what you should know:1) Parking: A multi-level parking garage is attached to it with $1 parking, a cheap price in an expensive area.2) Tickets: If you wait to buy your tickets inside, know that you will need to stand in line. You can only buy your ticket at the concession stand, which is always a long line. Its the worst system. Factor in 15-20 minutes cushion before your movie starts.3) Seating: We were in theater 3 and the seats were excellent. They are big, comfy, and recline. That means any seat in the theater is a good one!If you live near this location, its a fine movie theater.

Pretty clean and the seats are extremely comfortable, recline, and have personal tables. However, the place seems like its about to close as its always empty. Theres an abandoned concessions counter on the lower level thats been gutted out and looks a bit depressing. The movie screens are small. Felt like I was watching through a telescope. Staff is awesome but the place needs a little TLC, seems like it has so much potential.

There was a time when this theater was great. Now it keeps getting worse and worse. The staff is not even friendly. Some of the reclining seats dont even work. I would never recommend this theater to anyone.

So I have been to this theater numerous times this time was a little different than most. We were going to see a special event. And were very excited for it. the only issue was there seem to be a disconnect either with the digital tickets or the person directing people to theaters. There were three accounts of people being in the wrong movie. It was very disruptive and took away from the movie. We told the manager after movie was finished. He was very nice and gave us free passes tho we never asked. We just wanted to inform so that others dont have that happen. We will definitely attended the theater Moore this experience was just a little different and frustrating.

Regal is one of those places where you can have either a great experience or a bad one. I say this because it has great facilities, clean and spacious. However, Regals architectural design is a little confusing having two floors in two different sides and a lobby right at the entrance can make the place crowded when theres a premiere. But overall is clean, fast, well maintained and comfortable place!

Went to see the movie Long Shot, when we got there, no lines, just a few folks at the concession stand. When we went to the theater, what a nice layout. You find your seat, and the are full recliner seats, roomy, and you have a little table with a cup holder that swings so you can bring it on front of you if you need. Boy the seats are comfy. Its roomy enough if you need to get up, you can comfortably get out while the other folks ate fully stretched out in their recliners. Want to see a movie, you will love it here!!

Takeaways from Regal Ballston:-The volume was seemingly low-The theatre felt like it was 80+ degrees-The letters which identify the rows are so poorly located/lit/hard to find that people were sitting in wrong rows/seats-There was a group of teens distracting the audience throughout the movie by talking non-stop, laughing, and running/purposely stomping up and down the stairs repeatedly. What ever happened to the staff with the little glow sticks that would patrol each screen periodically?Never encountered any of these issues at AMC Tyson’s

Pretty good movie theater! The seats are great; fully automated recliners that are super comfy. The food selection is also typical what youd see anywhere else, and prices remain high as youd expect. Only negative is that the screen sizes arent quite as big as youd expect given what the norm is nowadays. This is clearly rooted in the age of the theater and its original build. Most of the rooms just arent wide enough to fit bigger screens.

Regal Ballston is just fine. Theaters have reclining seats with little slide out tables and lots of extra room to walk down the row. Only issues I have are that the temperature is not comfortable more often than not... Its too hot or too cold or humid and cold? Its weird. Also sometimes theres not much staff and you have to go to the food counter to check in which takes a really long time. They have some of the cheapest matinee prices, though, so maybe that makes up for any shortcomings. My ticket was $7.45.

If youre seeing an early matinee and the theatre isnt yet open, dont panic. The theatre hours on Maps and websites arent currently reflective of when the staff opens. The theatre opened 20 minutes before a 12pm showing on a Monday and there was ample time to get seated.Otherwise, this is a large theatre with reclining seats. Its been a Ballston staple all through the near-decade reconstruction project.

The good: This theater is in a great location and the majority of the staff members are very friendly and professional. The bad: They are woefully understaffed and non-ticket holders routinely just walk in because they dont post employees at the two entrances to the actual theaters. Sometimes there is one employee out front but usually, anyone can just walk in which leads to finding people sitting in our purchased seats. So far, we havent had a problem with telling people they have to move but I dont have confidence that we could even find a staff member to handle a dispute. There were 3 movie crashers in with us the other night and they talked loudly throughout the entire show. The seats are often full of popcorn and other food debris too. The popcorn is way oversalted too. I understand that movie theaters are part of a dying industry so I am not hopeful that any positive changes are coming any time soon to this theater. But, they could really improve movie-goers experiences by hiring more people to work the critical positions needed here. This location should be a gold mine with the amount of foot traffic to the mall. Management really should recognize that they have been phoning it in with the skeleton crews and lack of oversight/cleanliness. This place feels abandoned.

Me
Review №64

TL;DR: suffocating temperatures, downtrodden staff, absent management. Overwhelmingly unpleasant experience.I hate posting public reviews but our experience at this theater last night was so miserable I couldnt let it pass. The whole place was BROILING. It was probably near 80° in the lobby and must have gotten close to 90° inside our theater. Everyone in the theater was complaining about it. Based on other recent reviews, this has been a problem for at least a week, which is just inconceivable to me. It might be a problem with the whole mall (it was pretty stifling everywhere), but surely, as the malls linchpin, the theater has some leverage to have basic and critical facilities issues attended to? And if for some reason it really cant be fixed on a reasonable timeline, why is the theater not doing something to mitigate the issue? A sign saying we apologize for the heat, the malls HVAC is being repaired and unfortunately we are unable to adjust the temperature and offering complimentary ice water in larger cups (rather than the usual dinky 6oz ones) would have gone a long way.I didnt want to walk out because I was with my parents and this theater is kind of out of our way, and it was obvious that no one was going to offer us compensation or a refund of any kind. I should have, though. Sweltering through the whole movie made me sick the rest of the night, and in retrospect Id rather have lost the $15.The staff were clearly suffering in the heat too, and exhausted by constant complaints that they could do nothing about. Its inexcusable that this has been going on for at least a week and not only has the management has apparently done nothing to address the problem, they have not empowered their employees to offer customers any solutions, compensation, or even information. If I was an employee here, I would have quit on the spot.Other annoying issues that would not have justified a negative review on their own but which contributed to the overall misery:1. Dirty floors. Not that I dont expect a little popcorn on the floors in a movie theater, but come on - the mall just went through a brand new renovation, and there were way more staff running the concessions stand than there needed to be. Somebody cant be bothered to do a little bit of extra sweeping? Who is the floor manager assigning staff duties?2. The only cleanup I did see happened while our movie was still playing. Trundling the cleanup cart in front of the screen during the denouement was not appreciated.3. Our projector stopped working five minutes into the movie and stayed off for 10, maybe 15 minutes. No one came in to tell us what was going on or when the movie would be back. When some theatergoers got up to ask at the concessions stand (the only place where any staff could be found) they told us theyd had to restart the projectors on all the downstairs theaters. They restarted six screens and didnt send anyone to tell half their patrons what was happening? Every other theater Ive been to that had projector problems immediately sent an employee into the theater to explain the problem, give us an estimate on when the movie would be back, and offer us vouchers if the problem was taking too long to fix. Normally I dont think a 15-minute delay merits a voucher or refund, but given the total lack of communication from anyone in charge and the unbearable theater conditions, they at least ought to have offered $5 coupons or something. Christ.

This place is always a hot mess. The employees are polite, but its such a shoddy theater. On this visit alone: my seat was broken (their answer was to say Ill let the manager know and otherwise ignore it), the screen cut to black for 10 minutes (luckily just during previews but someone had to go tell management because no employees had noticed), AND, worst of all, you could hear the movie in the neighboring theater the entire time.

The theater itself is fine. You have all of the expected concessions, and more. The films run on time and I have never had projection issues. The seats are all recliners with trays.
