Stopped by for a cold pick-me-up (ice cream) after a spontaneous bike ride to Minuteman. The only vegan options was Ritchies Italian ice I got the strawberry lemonade. It did not taste like freshness of strawberry nor tart tanginess of lemonade. Unsure how their flavors are blended but based on this alone I wouldve given 1star. However their customer service is awesome and partners German chocolate cake was good so overall was a good experience. If they read this, I hope they start writing mini descriptions under the ice cream names. Totally turtle isnt really clear what flavor this is.

This movie theater has a lot going for it, which helps it to stand out. With creamery inside the theater, beer on tap for the adults, and reasonable ticket prices make this a very good movie theater. Coupled with a beautiful classic construction makes it lovely. Some might not appreciate the classic movie seats or the lack or ultra modern construction. For date night 9/10.. for the hyper serious movie goer 6/10.

Just a great, old-fashioned neighborhood movie theater, but comfy and clean. You can catch new movies, vintage ones, and also new ones way after theyre mostly out of theaters, which is great. They also have their own ice-cream parlor. You can organize birthday parties there too.

Great old school theater with reasonably priced tickets and snacks. It shows a good mix of what’s big at the box office and some smaller titles. If you want more artsy movies you might have to go into Cambridge or Somerville. Go see movies here. Plenty of parking on the side streets too.

The first time I went here was to see Avengers: Endgame, I thought it would be horrible because how old was, and my step farther cant here well so I thought he wasnt going to enjoy it. But when we completed the film, he said the sound was great, and ever since then weve watched films here. We saw Spider-Man FFH later, than Toy Story 4, and now Star Wars. I highly recommend this place, great service, they arent bland and just say nothing, they have full blown convocations with us, and the food is great. Everything is great

You want a movie that starts at the time thats on the ticket? This is the place, not only that but they have the locally small owned theater vibe that you cant get with the big theaters these days. Spacing was a bit small in the actual theater but thats really no big issue for me. Last and probably best is that ticket prices arent insane like they are at the big theaters. Go here for sure!

I have been going there for several years. Price is so affordable. Awesome place for childrens birthday party. Nothing is more fun for a kid than being with friends eating popcorn and watching a new movie on a giant screen. The private space is very big. You will get a more than you pay for when it comes to the popcorn and ice cream. Excellent staff service. They will cater to your needs to meet your expectations. I love the fact that you can bring your own cake if you desire.

Theres something about a retro movie theater. If youre looking for a luxury experience with gourmet food and reclining seats then dont bother, but if you want to see a movie and youre okay carrying your own food (okay I swear thats my last dig at the luxury cinema experience) then this is the best place. Beer options are surprisingly varied, and having an ice cream place in the building doesnt hurt if youre walking home after and want a snack on a hot day. All of that is worth about four stars, and the fifth star really is the decor - again, something about a retro theater.

I love this little suburban theatre. Theyve preserved a classic building. Picture and audio are great. Seats are comfy. Popcorn is the best, with real butter. This is an authentic local gem in every respect--the staff are incredibly welcoming, the beverages --wine, beer, coffees high quality along with a variety of delicious snacks. The movies are a fine mix of foreign, small and large productions in cozy theatres. However a big limitation is that there is only stairway access to the 2 theatres upstairs so inaccessible to those with physical limitations.

Fun place. Former art deco theater converted its two-level theater into multiple screening auditoriums. Built in Richardsons ice cream counter with shakes, sundaes and scoops/cones. Affordable relative to AMCs and Landmark theater, $11. Right next door to an Ottos, so you can get a tasty gourmet slice before or after the movie.

An old timey movie theatre with a really fun vibe right off Mass Ave. I have always loved the throw back Thursdays in the summertime where they show old movies (space jam, bill murraython, ghost busters to name a few) and throw out free candy into the audience. It isnt the most fancy place and not typically a place to see movie premiers, but its such a cute spot with a unique atmosphere. The capitol theatre has always been on of my favorite movie theaters in the Boston Area. Would highly recommend visiting!

Wonderful selection of movies, at an affordable price (especially the matinees). Offers a fine variety of snacks (mostly candy) and drinks. Plus the Capitol Creamery, attached to the movie theater, is arguably the best ice cream place in town. Does have smaller, less fancy seats and amenities than other theaters, but is very charming, loveable, and the best local option. A gorgeous historical building, with beautiful ornamental details in many of the theaters. Also a great place for birthday parties. A go-to place to meet up with friends or see the newest blockbuster.

Old theatre. What it lacks in amenities it makes up for in character. They have a good beer selection and they make their own popcorn!!Also, they have Richardson’s ice cream. Parking can be a little tricky, there is no lot. If you want to remember what it was like to go to the movies in the mid 90’s I recommend the capital. The Capital has a friendly staff and I personally prefer it to the big stadium seating of the new movie theaters.

Pretty great as a landmark. Its the more grown-up version of the Somerville theater. Its well kept and the people who catch films here tend to be polite and not taking phone calls. This is my favorite theatre of all time. Its great if you have children and you love the vintage movie feel. I try to bring my Son at least twice a month, they play current and new movies at a very reasonable price. Sometimes my Son and I see a blockbuster for 14 dollars, he has his kids meal for 5 and I have an ice cream or frozen yogurt for 3 and we enjoy our movie for less than 25 dollars.I feel if you are paying 13 dollars per ticket to see a movie then you should NOT be in seats that are going to recline and make you fall asleep.
