Super duper fun! Loved going in and enjoying a movie and having food brought to us.prices were reasonable and drinks were good! Staff was very nice and attentive! A+++

First time here. Everything was first class. Roomy comfortable seats, a quiet theater, quality food and well mixed drinks. Our attendant came by frequently to check on us. Good popcorn too! Great experience. I recommend it to movie goers

If you go and eat like my wife & I do, hang out at the bar with Bradley. Very attentive & fun bartender. Dont really care about the movies, its just nice to have lunch AND a movie with excellent service. Bradley is top notch. This facility is well maintained and remains my favorite staple of the Green Oaks & I20 area.

This is the #1 theatre I like to go to watch the newest movies. They have all kinds of discounts for students, teachers, military, etc. Not to mention $5 Tuesdays and Student Thursdays. Normally tickets go for $10-$15.They also have affordable combos for food. Just recently they released a $25 popcorn bucket that you can refill for about $4 and change for each visit all throughout 2020.

I’ve been coming to this movie theater for years. It’s pretty basic (no reclining chairs), but it gets the job done. It’s kind of dirty in the theaters, but once the lights are out you’ll hardly notice. The food is nothing to write home about. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly and the restrooms seem to be pretty clean. I would recommend going on Tuesday’s so that you can see a movie and get free popcorn for 5 bucks!

Decent movie theater with a bar and food service. Seats dont recline, theater was a little messy on one occasion. Experiences were fine but there are better theaters if youre willing to drive. If not it does the job.

As you can read in about every other review, the seating here is not exactly the most comfortable - no reclining or extra cushioning. On the other hand, it (the seating) actually appears cleaner and better maintained than most theaters. Ive found the food to be okay to good, and priced about what youd expect for a movie theater. The service has always been top notch on my visits over the past few years. The recent change in ownership has brought with it some nice discounts and extras, especially if you sign up for their free membership/rewards program

We come here often but with new ownership everything I liked on the menu is gone or is not nearly as good. I cant even drink the iced tea anymore, it just doesnt taste like fresh iced tea should. The theater is old, it could use new chairs, and yes it smells. But we always get good service. I dont eat here anymore but still come for the movies.

Great concept to have a bar and restaurant quality food in the movie theater. Prices are good, food is good and location is good. Keep up the good work

This place is not worth it at all if they charge $11+ for really bad seats when compared to all other Cinemark theaters that offer amazing seats. It’d be fine if they charged like $5. Also, the servers can be very loud sometimes in the middle of the movie while taking orders. So they need to work on this stuff and either upgrade seating or lower prices considerably. Some of the most uncomfortable ones compared to other theaters.

Went Saturday night to see Joker and the bartender was amazing. She was very kind and made really good drinks. The only thing to make the experience better is updated seats. They were pretty uncomfortable and had an odd smell. But overall great theater and will be back

Not sure why I stopped coming here, but thats about to change. This particular tavern was a real help to me when an online purchasing error(on my part)could not be solved online? I appreciate their willingness to help in a frustrating situation.

Went to The Movie Tavren with my sons. We have been going to this location for many, many years. We went to watch, “It:Chapter Two”. Food was great. Service was great. We love going to see movies here. Also joined their movie rewards loyalty program. Was easy to join and received a free soft drink.

Close. Convenient. Glad to have it in the neighborhood! Always smells weird. Needs to be updated. Doesn’t seem clean or kept up well.

If you can go to any other movie tavern, go elsewhere. I requested limes for my popcorn and the woman who took my order, made no mention of any restrictions (not that Ive had any at every other movie tavern Ive visited) but the 2nd person I asked in regards to this said I could only have 3. 3 lime wedges, not 3 whole limes. Why would I request a whole bucket of popcorn if I could only have 3 wedges. Do yourself a favor and either visit a different theater or another movie tavern. Theyre much better. I promise.

Good movie watching. Not quite as fancy as the you know whos but no giant crowds either. PLUS you can order food and drinks (full bar) and have it brought to you.

Six years ago, I went to Movie Tavern with my two oldest kids (who were 10 and 8 at the time) to see The Nut Job. In addition to tickets, we paid over $40 for dinner (for me and two kids!). 5 minutes in, the movie broke. They tried to get it working for a while then finally gave up, sending us on our way with three readmission vouchers. No refund. No apology. Nothing.I gave them another chance today, taking all three of my kids to see Jumanji The Next Level. I planned to use the readmission vouchers and pay for one ticket out of pocket. They refused to accept them (although they did discount three of the tickets). Apparently the theater has been sold at least a couple of times since then, the vouchers werent filled out properly, and theyre not honoring old ones.Other than not honoring the vouchers, the experience this time was only mediocre, which is why Im leaving a 2-star review (kind of an average of a 1-star from our first visit and 3-star from this visit). The theater seems older and a bit more worn than most theaters we go to. The seats arent as comfortable as most other theaters and its a bit tight. Other people on our row had to leave a couple of times during the movie and we had to basically exit the row each time to give them room to get through. Popcorn was okay, but not very buttery. The screen was small compared to most theaters. Lights remain on during the movie, which seemed odd.Maybe well try them again in another 6 years. But probably not.

We saw Ad Astra. It was the most beautiful boring movie Ive ever seen. The theater was great though. We went on Tuesday during the $5 ticket special. We signed up for the free Movie Pass so we both got a special Tuesday menu as well. Two burger combos at $7 each and two free popcorns. The movie pass allowed two of us to watch a movie, eat dinner and eat popcorn for $25 plus tip (tip your waiters because they literally bent over backwards serving us). ***Important*** this is an older theater with no reclining seats. If thats important to you then this maybe the wrong place for you. If you dont want to smell Recliner Guys smelly feet because he took off his shoes and reclined his feet up near your head then this is the perfect place for you.

This is one of my favorite theaters to go to. You can get reserved seating when you purchase your tickets online. Also, the food here is better and has healthier choices than at some other movie studios that serve food. Any of these restaurants will have a fairly pricey menu, but I think this menu is less than some others. The food is good and the waitstaff is attentive, but they also try not to bother you during the movie unless you press the little red button to call them. This theater has recently been bought by a larger group that I think is making some changes for the better. Personally, I wish this theater had the reclining seats that other theaters have. While some other theaters have reclining seats that feature a tray that pulls close to your body on which you can put your food, this theater has a table in front of you on which they set your food. So sometimes you have to sit on the forward edge of your chair in order to eat and then can sit back in your chair to relax in a traditional movie seat. There are a few seats in some of the theaters here were the backs dont support you firmly, so you may have to move over receipt sometimes. But I think that the new management will be looking at upgrading the seating to make it more comfortable and replace damaged components sometime soon.

Ticket kiosk wouldnt print tickets and made a hassle. Bathroom next to the ticket kiosk smelled like death.... from the lobby...Chairs in the theatre broken and leaning forward at a wierd angle. Dining table in front installed at a weird angle. Everything was more expensive than expected. 2 meals and 3 beers and 2 movie tickets shouldnt cost over $100. Also wife got a little sick from the food. Never going to this theater again.

Came here for kids $3 summer movie series. Saw one movie in a theatre that smelled like urine. Blech. But the food was still good. They’ve gotta update the seats. At this point, they’re dollar movie quality. Fine for getting the kids out of the house in the summer. Not cool for date night.

Had a great time! Great friendly staff. No long wait. If we can get some upgrades, like recliners or deeper, tilting seats, and more modern restroom amenities (like toilet seat covers), this would be my only theatre of choice! Still, for my first visit, I enjoyed this location. And I gotta go on aTuesday, next time, for the cool deals!!!!

The theater I was in had a order to it. The food was expensive and not worth the money. Wings tasted like they had been sitting out too long the people are nice though.

This is one of my favorite theatres that holds a very special place in my heart. I proposed to my wife here as it was the location of our first date and was a special place to us both. The food and drink are excellent just be prepared for your wallet to shed a few years lol. The theatres are clean and the bar area is well stocked.

This was possibly the worst experience I have ever had at either a movie theater or an eating establishment. My father and I waited ar the bar for 15 minutes while 3 employees ignored us. The bar tender made eye contact several time, but never said anything acknowledging that we were there. He also completely reeked of weed. We finally ordered but he never made the drinks, so another 10 minutes later we went into our theater. At this point were 10 minutes from our movie starting and the theater still hasnt been cleaned. I went back to the bar and asked one of the employees if I could speak to a manager, she picked up the phone, I guess dialed an office and then hung up and said Sorry, they didnt answer. I asked if someone could at least come clean the theater and she said yeah someone should be over there for you to ask Why do I have to ask someone to do their job?? So, I went around to the kitchen and asked if there was a manager in there. He came out and I told him about the bar situation and he said they were short staffed so the bar tender isnt working the bar, hes only working the theaters. The bar tender could have at least told us that, communicated with or something. I told him all the dishes were still on the counter and he said yeah someone is going to clean that right away. He never apologized for the experience at hand. We ordered our food and drinks at 3:55, it took 40 minutes to get our bar drinks and 3 of our 4 non alcoholic drinks. The food didnt come until almost 5, and was delivered with no silverware and no napkins. I asked for water when we placed our orders. I got my water at 5:15. An hour and 20 minutes to get a class of WATER.I will not be returning to the Movie Tavern on Green Oaks, ever again.

This place is run down. Its smells real bad. The food is very high priced. Took my family there. Will not be going back. The manager lied to me said he would send us gift cards for our experience. At the beginning of the movie. The new ownership said if we have any problems they will take care of you. Thats a lie. Will not ever go back again.

I only went to the bar and it was a friday morning, it wasnt a bad visit. Got what i wanted for a decent price.

What an awful experience. We ordered tickets online and they couldn’t find us. I offered the card we used and was told “oh that probably won’t work” and it worked immediately after i insisted he try the card. Got into the movie theater and it was packed, with no air conditioning!!!!! It felt like we were sitting in a sauna it was so humid and hot. Everyone was complaining about the heat. This was for a 3 hour movie and the AC never came on. The waiters admitted that they were untrained for some new menu and half of the menu was unavailable. Took 45 minutes to get our incorrect drinks and when we told them it wasn’t right “well there’s a line for the drinks so you’ll have to wait” got food before drinks ever came and I had to refuse the food so they would finally bring drinks. AC never turned on people were using menus to fan themselves to keep cool. Children were complaining about the heat. Not a safe environment. Never coming back!!!!

Me and my mother went here to celebrate my birthday to watch the new Lion King movie. We enjoyed the movie, but there was something that was quite concerning to me. I am disabled and use a rollater to help me get around. There are steps in the isles that would cause someone like me to possibly stumble or even fall when trying to navigate my way down to a seat in the dark. The seats in general are old like from theatres from past years. (I much prefer the recliner seats in a movie theater.) On my side of the theater I noticed one seat and a space for a wheelchair on the back row. There are no steps or anything impeding your access to that area safely. My mother enjoyed the fried cauliflower and devoured her black bean veggie burger. She was hoping to share with me, but Im not a fan of eating food brought to me in the dark. Lol. Service seem a little slow for a weekday afternoon matinee. I enjoyed the time with my mother that day. There are things that would lead me to choose a different option to watch a movie

MT Arlington is probably the only theater that still has the horrible planks as a table with uneven broken seats. I enjoy Marcus theater movie taverns but THIS ONE I try to avoid at all costs (especially for what a movie costs)! If admission was like $5 ALL THE TIME, then it would be expected! When will this theater be updated??

Lots of food and drink choices. Enough movie choices to get the big hits. Food I received was lukewarm. I received my appetizer with my meal which I wish was timed better. We also paid the tab before we got any food which I thought was strange, but I understand getting food and drink service in a movie theater would work differently than in a restaurant logistically. Fix the timing and make sure all food is served hot and the ratings will be better.

I didnt like how old & dirty the seats looked. I didnt like how far the tables are from the chairs. I didnt like how the seats didnt recline. I wont be back!!!

Poor service no silverware brought with food. Manager apoligized and said he would send us something in the mail we never got anything. Long wait on food order. Do yourself a favor and go to a different movie tavern

Food was cold, service was slow. The chairs need to be replaced when I leaned back the chair took me almost to the floor. The server messed the ticket up 2 times and couldnt explain the error. They have fallen off, hopefully they will regain their stride.

The theater was dirty. It was my first time there and the cleanliness was horrible.

My husband and I used to love this theater and go there almost every weekend. Well it’s been a few years and it’s definitely not the same! The theater itself seems to be dollar movie quality. Very outdated and not clean at all. Food and drinks were VERY disappointing. Ordered a blue margarita which I’m pretty sure had zero liquor in it and food was terrible. After spending $200 for our family I was very unhappy. We Definitely won’t be returning.

Go to Studio Movie Grill instead. The seating and tables are too far from each other to eat. And the chairs dont recline well.

Not very good popcorn. Out of unsweetened iced tea. Have been spoiled by reclining seat but these are just reg seats. Assisted hearing devices are the best i have ever used.

The staff was very friendly . If I was rating on that alone. I would add another star. (It was in the middle of the day tho) The facility needs a major upgrade. The hallway smelled as if a broken sewer pipe, food was too expensive for very small portions. The theatre itself smelled horrible and old. Very uncomfortable ️. This is the last theatre I would have went too. It honestly was the only one that had the movie I wanted to see at the time I needed.

This place is really outdated. The chairs are uncomfortable and old. The place smelled moldy. The pizza was like card board. Bad customer service with long wait and the waiter had really bad body odor.

Great experience and customer service. Made it through the complete movie almost and the Power went out in the whole strip Center thus missing the last 10 minutes of the Movie..... all is fine though. Thinks to Google for giving us the movie ending. And the staff was giving everyone tickets for a free movie anytime. Thank you Movie Tavern for your Fantastic customer service.

Tuesday specials are great. Complimentary popcorn... this may have bn an understaffed day. There was no visible person to retrieve the tickets, had to stand and wait for someone to show up.. took a little longer to bring out the complimentary popcorn and the ordered food. But, the restrooms were clean!!

This place smells like urine. The staff is inattentive and the accommodations come up short. Its hard to enjoy a movie here. The food is of poor quality. Its sad because its so close to home.

We purchased our tickets at the bar where the screen showed the theater to be nearly full. We had to choose three seats 4 rows back and bordering on the wall. Not optimal, but we really wanted to see this popular movie. Turns out there were large groupings of EMPTY SEATS throughout the middle section. Why did all those seats appear to be filled on the purchase & select screen?This theater desperately needs updating! The seats force you to lean forward because the floors are sloped. If you want to lean back you have to use the table in front of you, or its posts, using your feet to apply constant pressure to hold your position. If you relax, you are thrust forward. My husband kept his feet on the table... where people EAT! Ew.We pressed the button to order drinks well before the movie started. It took them 20 minutes to respond. Then, it took another 20 minutes for the delivery person to bring them. It was an interruption 15 minutes into the flick.Were not old people, but we came home and took Ibuprofen and rubbed oils into our shoulders and necks because we were both hurting. This morning, I woke with a headache and a very sore neck.Paid $32.00 for 2 adults & a teenager, plus $5.40 for one Sierra Mist and two waters. Not returning to this theater ever. EVER.

If you only want a movie, this place will work. The seats are uncomfortable, and the tables are placed statically and inconveniently far from the chairs, making dining awkward. The food is ok, though the selection isn’t great. It is not cheaper than other theaters. This theater is a couple of blocks from the house, but we prefer to drive to Studio Movie Grill.

Great experience!! The service staff does NOT come interrupt your movie to ask u questions about your food or drink like Studio Movie Grill does.. The food is better! The menu has better selection. Theres more on the menu than Studio Movie Grill.. Just a much better experience all around!!

Its a great theater. I always wonder why people thing buildings need to be updated. Why do things always have to be new and fresh. Why not keep them the same? Instead of continuing to knock things down and losing history why not just renovate, making them new again, but with the same look they (all buildings) had before?

Staff was very nice, but movie screen wasnt as big as other theaters. I enjoyed tbe movie, but the prices... WOW!!!$7.50 for a single bag of popcorn!?!?!And that was about the least expensive item on their menu. I know prices have gone up over the years, buy Holy Cow!!!Also... they should not be serving Alcoholic drinks to people who are already Tipsy enough as is.They also should not list a movie as only having a few seats remaining... when only 15 or 16 people are there!!! Talk about being squeezed together. Especially if some people have had too much to drink already.Nuff said. .

From a single mom to the employees at movie tavern.You all made my night. It was my daughters first movie. Our waiter was awesome in helping me pick out food that she would enjoy. Though she didnt eat a thing, this mommy did. The sliders were perfect!Unfortunately, my daughter started to fuss and we ended up walking out. The employees all greeted us and asked how the movie is going. One employee gave my daughter a free movie ticket for her birthday (Im hoping shell watch the whole thing).Anyways, yall made our mommy daughter date special from start to finish.

I only go to this theater once a year. One reason is its a ways over there and there are closer ones. The only reason I go is during your birthday month if your signed up for their newsletter youll get a free movie ticket. It is like a lot of theaters are becoming an eat in theater. I would recommend you eat somewhere else first. One reason is its expensive, next reason is the place was designed to be a theater not a dine and watch. So instead of investing in tables with desk top for eating like Studio Movie Grill or SMG also has long tables with desk chairs that pull up. Here they have really long tables. But the chairs are standard theater chairs that are bolted down and so that makes it so if you want to eat you have to sit up and sit practically on the edge of your seat to eat or depending on your food put it in your lap. Or reach up and like say French fries just get one at a time.

The movie screen was good and the service was decent. Unfortunately I must have gotten a bad seat because it was uncomfortable. But since no one was rude to me and the drink I ordered was very good, the awkward seats was not a deal-breaker for me.

It smells so bad. Mens restroom was moved to make more kitchen space so you have to walk all the way up front. Seats felt wet at 9am. Shortly after we left my daughters legs broke out in a rash. We had to stop and put water on them and rinse them off. I love movie tavern but green oaks needs a major renovation yesterday.

Gone here several times. Prefer this location over Hulen. Manager was personable and staff is a delight.

The food had no type of seasoning and the theater we sat in smelled like urine. The seats had this awkward smell i had to go get my car spray in order to try to enjoy my food or movie. It was horrible.

We went an hour before our movie started and sat at the bar. Drinks were good bartender was nice. When we went inside the movie the tables were way to far away from the chairs for us to eat. When I looked down on the floor I saw a big cockroach crawling by my feet. Didn’t finish the movie got up and left because I was too disgusted to finish my food.
