Beautiful park...playground closed due to covid
Amazing trees! Steep but well marked trails. Lots of friendly people, and thanks to everyone wearing masks and/or maintaining 6 distances, so we could still enjoy this beautiful park during the pandemic!
It was absolutely beautiful and so fun! Trails where nice!
Redwood Park is one of the major highlights of Arcata california. you must check it out if you come through. It is a magical little bubble of rainforest in the middle of a salty bay.
Great trail system! The trails are well maintained and gauged at different widths. Lots of mountain bikers, hikers, joggers, and occasionally a horse rider. Some stumps of old Redwoods exists, but the majority seem to be trees that have regrown after the primary forest was felled. A nice diversity of mushrooms.
Lovely park with an open field to picnic or just chill
Absolutely wonderful place. My favorite hiking please when we visit Eureka. Dog friendly. This is a great place to go when someone needs to clear their mind to think and appreciate the beautiful redwoods. The place have a whole bunch of trails for different types of physical activities. It also has a great place for picknic.
I Love it! The best place to go if you want to see TREES Tall ones at that. The trails are really outstanding
Iconic, plenty of trails, loveky play ground, plenty of seating, a basketball court, and water fountains.
Beautiful Park been coming up here all my life, just sometime random bottles and trap be courteous and keep your trash to yourself.
I love hiking in this forest A great place for families w/ basketball courts, playground, wide open space & miles of hiking trails Lets not forget beautiful trees
This is a magical place. Very family-friendly. Has a playground. The trail through the woods is good for all abilities.
The redwood park is always a nice place to visit in Arcata. Its an easy place to go to see some great redwoods.
We love this place. It is absolutely beautiful, plenty of trails, and they have a nice playground and open field area for family activitues after your walk/hike. There are also recreational facilities that are open to rent for celebrations and functions.
Stunning redwood forest. It’s easy to get to and borders the town and university directly. The trails aren’t difficult and the scenery is gorgeous.
Good spot to walk the dogs and socially distance while outdoors
Sacred place .there was a lovely fiddle player on the trail
This place is like no other. Such peace and tranquillity here among the giants. Great place for a quick run.
This is the best place ever! Family, fun, and peace and quiet...if people control there little ones(please). This is where magic lives.
Nice place to get out and moving around.
One of my favorite places. I just wish not so many people knew about it. Watch out for the fuzz balls!
Super fun, great for kids. Top tier park to me as I never had parks that nice growing up.
Beautiful park with fun trails for dogs, runners and kiddos. We enjoy the playground and large grassy field. Lots of summer activities for kids go on here.
Loved it!! Got to throw the frisbee until he could catch it!! Leon and Ben and Brad did not fight or have any problems!! God bless our families in need name amen
I had a phenomenal experience with my oldest son. It was very serene and educational. Ill definitely be back!!!
Beautiful!! The scenery is absolutely gorgeous.
Amazing forest. Trails and winding roads make an amazing experience.
One of the most beautiful city parks I can think of. Love this park.
This place was huge and beautiful, there are so many redwood trees to climb into so it feels like a natural playground for big kids (adults). Check out the finish cafe while you are in the cute town near by
Beatiful piece of the Redwoods, accessible by even the most fearful city dweller. This is one of the best spots to get a feeling for how important this area and its geography is.
Just a wonderful place for a meditative walk.
I guess this area could be considered an adjunct to Arcata Community Forest. Its a little more people friendly, less wildlife friendly. In spite of the forest husbandry going on, still, its more wild than man national forest areas are. I was in the park a couple of times for relatively brief periods, and wasnt dressed or equipped appropriately for a long exploration. Nevertheless, during my short but very pleasant visits, it seemed to be a rather refreshing experience.
Its beautiful!
I Love It!
Pretty nice in the sun.
Beautiful park, lush forest. Great to take people visiting Humboldt.
Beautiful place to go and walk....relax
One of my PK spots. Pretty dope.
Just a walk through
Awesome walk, great view
Lovely trees.
Gorgeous relaxing park
Close to HSU and dog friendly. Beautiful trails with lots of maps to follow
Great outdoors fun
So beautiful and peaceful. Im not some new age dolphin head hippie dippy crack pot, but it honestly feels like a fairy forest here where bad things dont happen
If you havent been here, go here. Whether you are new to the area or passing thru, it wont matter who you ask. Everyone will tell you that you need to check out the park. It is, in a word, Majestic. Vibing trails will help you explore miles of redwoods and ferns thru valleys and ridges that claim stunning beauty. You will fall in love.
Super amazing spot right next to the university
Surreal ancient trees setting the perfect view.
Be very careful if you see this guy around this area he is randomly attacking people and following people and causing damage to their vehicles. I had him follow me all the way to the arcata Police Department where I had the cops pick him up. this individual is very dangerous and should be avoided at all cost. I posted his photo.
Gorgous but sometimes there is too many dogs
Great hiking/jogging trails through redwoods.
Beautiful place
Great trails for bike rides
I loved taking a hike here. Lots of families and dogs and great trails. Get nice boots to hike the trails, theyre definitely trails that are more natural than stamped out, but that makes it even better. Beautiful place. Definitely going to be going here often.
Its amazing, but something needs to be done about the transients. Didnt feel very safe, cut my hike short because of how uneasy I felt.
So many really beautiful, good hiking trails. Plus a park for the kiddos and a field for the puppers
Its a great place. The only problem is people. The people who say they care. Act like they care. But yet leave huge messes everywhere. Pack in pack out
Layered with scent this place is safe for smart drops.
Sweetest spot in Arcata! Beautiful, and a must see if you visit the area.
Its cool! Theres a big patch of grass to play and a little hike through the forest
I really enjoyed playing music at Redwood park in Arcata. I watched a live performance of a musical there.
Great place to visit!
So beautiful!
Absolutely gorgeous.
Love it. So beautiful. Have to go regularly
We went here not to long ago, but were not used to biking on these steep mountains, overall, a great hiking place and biking place for beginners, it was fun, but we walked half way.
Unbelievably beautiful Park. Still a mixture of old growth redwoods with others
Great place on the edge of town. Nice playground, but few other amenities. Lots and lots of hiking paths among 150-foot redwoods make it great for nature lovers.
Great place to go for a walk
Model of community forests
One of my favorite places ever
Awesome! A sequoia forest in miniature! Highly recommended. Several trails to walk, picnic area, parking nearby, dog friendly...
A great place to gather
If youre traveling to come visit the North Coast and want to see some beautiful redwoods sites this is one of the most pretty Parks that are easily accessible in the Eureka and Arcata area. Make certain you bring your camera and some water and just shut the phone off and enjoy nature because thats what youll be doing, marveling at the many Pathways and beautiful redwoods not super crowded and most of the hikes are fairly short take a few minutes and just breathe beneath the trees and youll feel much refreshed.
Outstanding network of trails just west of HSU.
Love Redwood Park and they have the best trails too !!!!
Went to a 90th bday party there. The facility was nice and the park was well kept
An easy place to get to know 1000 year old forest with trees taller than 200 feet.
Childrens playground, extensive trail systems, and awesome redwood grove. Favorite of HSU students and all locals
Great place with awesome views!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to visit this area. I fell in love with the vast forestry and awesome mountains. Go check it out!
Really neat park. Beautiful setting.
Bonding with nature. #beautiful
Beautiful nature
Awesome except too muddy,in the grass for sports most of the year. Trees are profoundly beautiful. Second growth so not that big.
My natural xanax. A must go and see for anyone.
Big trees
In the middle of the community in Arcata. The redwoods rise above you heading up in elevation, with about a dozen trails meandering above the classic portions of the park where you can find the community center, childrens playground, gently sloping grassy messier meadow, with ample parking, restrooms, and all the wonderful costal nature that permeates they coastline here in Humboldt.tallship awards this must see and explore destination, s!!!
Beautiful hike through an amazing forest.
Redwood park has amaxing hikes and in the ealry morning when the pollen from the redwoods is fallings is my favorite, such a healtgy and beautiful place to enjoy. Please if u come here pick up any litter, smile, and be happy
Awesome in town hike and such only problem is the sketchy people hanging around watching you get out of your car. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN CAR, TRUNK IS NOT SAFE
Pretty amazing place.Id give it 5 stars if there wasnt so much drama up there. Funny thing is, the police that are supposed to be fixing that have become the main source of drama there. They make a scene harassing decent homeless and mentally ill people because they either dont care to, or dont want to differentiate between them and the problematic ones.
Always a great visit!
