I was there at night to see a meteor shower. It is easy to miss the turn off for this spot, but it was a perfect to catch my 1st meteor shower. There is not much parking, but people come and go enough that you should find a spot. Also there is a flat grassy area at the beginning of the trail thats perfect for laying down a blanket and looking up at the sky!

I love the different terrains. The wetlands, the woods, the expansive fields. It’s such a hidden treasure in the midst of farm country. The trails are not well marked, but if you take a photo of the map at the trail head, you should be fine. ️

Really nice little hiking trail. My 10 year old son had a great time. Most of the trail was shaded and peaceful. I recommend plenty of bug spray because this is wetlands. I also like that the trails are loops that connect to each other so you can choose a hiking distance that works for you without having to commit to a half day adventure. We did a mile and a half in about 30 minutes and had a lot of fun.

Very nice mixed woodlands, grasslands, and swamp. Lots of wild mulberries and blackberries for your enjoyment in the summer. Yes, you have to watch out for the mosquitoes in the marshy section, but nothing a little bug spray cant handle. Not many people come here despite it being on a somewhat major road, so you definitely wont have to worry about crowds. Nice habitat variety, quiet, easy to get to, and very pretty (my favourite section is the big grassy hill!).

A working farm including a lake, but with trails between fields and through some wooded areas. A good place for a nature stroll. Located next to another farm with a roadside lake and also the wetlands at Parker Rd. - Scio Church Rd. intersection.

Thought it was a nice little trail walk. If you dont like mosquitos, definitely bring some bug spray. The trail takes you past some ponds in woods, so plenty of the little suckers.

Using the area for SAR training. Beautiful and spacious. A great place! Little soggy right now, but thats how nature works.

226 acres of mixed land. Lots of fields - some corn, some beans, unused in the last year, I believe. There are some decent wooded areas, but it is fairly low and wet, so there are a TON of mosquitos - if you go during the wrong time of year, they can be absolutely intolerable. There is a very nice, small pine forest fairly close to the entrance. Other areas are more mixed forest and trails go through the grasslands, too. Also, there is a lake in the preserve, but you have to go through the most mosquito-filled area to get there.
