Ive only been to 2/42 a handful of times. I was seeking a community where the focus is based on the Bible and how to apply it to our lives.I was pleased with every aspect of the community and look forward to going again. On a side not; after reading most of the other comments it seems like most people are confusing 2/42 for some sort of amusement park for kids. But hey, whatevver gets you through the doors.

Monday-Saturday 8am-9pm Sunday 8am-4pm (hours as of 08/28/18).I love that there is a warm (cool in summer) space that is free and fun for my kids to play in! Supposed to wear socks! The large play structure is a little tough for children under four but some three year olds were managing fine. There is also a smaller play hill with a tunnel and slide...a mini Hobbit hill. The whole space is carpeted in turf which is super soft for everyone. A long curved bench lines the side for comfy watching. There is also a huge turf field and ball bin right next door so you can have your climber and your runner content. There is a deep swimming pool pit full of foam squares. It looks shallow but is actually very deep (5 and half feet) so watch for crawlers and big kids burying themselves. The squares are big so its hard to get very far down. The bathrooms are close with a changing table, no auto-flush but still a little loud, water fountain (can fill up bottles), and a fantastic Cafe. Diary free options. Coffee, tea, smoothies, sweet and savory options...There is a party room, a fireplace area, chairs, & tables.

Great place for kids. You walk in, and right away there is a play scape. There is also an area for people to listen and watch the service and still be with their kids playing. Which is great for the parents, but also nice for people in the main service to not be interupted. They have a snack bar, coffee and tea. Most importantly... excellent messages pertaining to every day life, which hit home and resonate throughout the week. Also, a great worship team.

Review №15

A favorite among my children for an indoor play escape. Three areas to watch out for are the foam pit, bottom of the large slide, and the open play area. Kids often jump blindly into the foam pit while others are burying themselves (bad combination). The large slide is fast and inattentive children playing near the base are often near misses or lit up from the larger children flying down the slide. Finally the open area is great unless larger older children are playing soccer/football as errant balls or highly motivated kids may contact smaller children. None of this deters our family as we talk about these situations before we arrive. Arrive early if you want a seat near the play areas as it does get busy here. Ideal seating would be 360 degrees around the play area but thats just a parents wish list.

Generally high quality preaching and overall good worship music (bands are mostly excellent). Maybe a tad loud, but not overwhelmingly so. Strong mission focus - the high point is tons of baptisms and a focus on generosity.I think the service is too short, but probably in the minority here. Love that they have weekly communion.

Great church and great people! Dont let decisive people fool you. This church does not exist to make political statements or get into foolish arguments. They are more concerned with serving the community. For example, one of the pastors just recently provided support for a family friend of mine who has a loved one dealing with cancer. The support was amazing and the pastor was huge blessing. This church simply wants to love and engage with the community in a Chirst-like way.

Well here’s the thing when I walked into the café which is normally a wonderful place lately they have had subpar food this year and their attitude more than once has been very bad. They don’t wanna help you I understand that they’re transferring over from one food group company to another food group company. But the way they alienate their customers subtly and you wouldn’t catch it at first is astounding to me. They don’t want to help you with your transfer over stuff. And they’re rude all the time. So if you’re ever going to eat there run for the hills don’t look back. I’m not seeing all staff but most of them. Your attitude is totally bad and that’s putting it lightly. You asking simple questions and the glare you and make snide and unchristian remarks it didn’t help that I asked him a simple question and it didn’t help that there were three people in the back doing nothing staring at me that were employees and did not want to help. This happened more than once on more than one occasion. If I could give the café itself a negative review it would probably be -3. Their cleanliness is OK but their attitude towards people really sucks. PS sorry about language LOLHaving that said the parishioners and the other people working at 2:42 are wonderful people they treat everybody with respect their rock in roll team does awesome their sermons are very riveting./The playground it seems like is very clean and safe. In fact everything is clean. Etc

I cant say anything about this church from a worship perspective, but from a free indoor playground perspective this place is so much fun. Its clean, its huge, and its open for long hours. Im so thankful to this church community for the amazing work they do to offer this amazing opportunity to kids and parents for free. Also, be sure to follow them on Facebook because they have awesome one day celebrations and special events. Ive seen a church birthday party with cake and balloons, carnival days in the summer, movie days, and an incredible super hero / princess comic con for kids.If you havent been and you have a child who would like indoor play structures, you have to check it out. Everything is free except the cafe services which are very affordably priced and focused on healthy options where available.Thank you so much for offering this service for parents in this community.

This is a contribution of great value to A2 from a church. I cant complain about this place since the facility runs quite well and rules are on the loose side (no need to hear from the church to use the building). Rentals are super affordable. The coffee shop tries to do their best with quality and quantity of food offers but sometimes they ran of most of the things for kids. You can bring your own too.

I have been going to 242 for a few years and over the past year truly started to embrace what it has to offer. Without the support of this community I would not have gotten through so many difficult obstacles in my life. They make learning interesting and easy to follow, they make my family feel safe and most importantly they help my path to God a lot more clear. If I didnt have this church I would feel like just another lost sheep . My children are more excited to be here than almost anywhere else. Thanks 242 for all of your continued efforts to help and support families like mine.

I wish I could give this church a zero star. One of my very best friends goes to this church. She also gives them a lot of money. Well her house bruned down and she lost everything. Everything. I called day after day and never had anyone answer the phone, just got stuck in a loop that would eventually just end. My friend didnt know I was calling on her behalf and had found out days following her tradegy they communicate via TEXT MESSAGE?? She had texted them reaching out day after day and has 2 weeks later still never heard back. This is not a church. They are a financial orginization. Read up on the Solomon Group. They do NOT care one bit about their members. This is unheard of and totally unacceptable. Just disgusting.

This service is really tailored to personal preferences. My girlfriend goes here and worked as a barista in the shop. Even though I have another church I personally to, I would also go here for her occassionally. Needless to say, my attendance has been sporadic for over a year, as in I dont go every week. In that time Ive noticed that it has went from mostly being musically centered to more sermon centeredI prefer the latter. A lot of people go to this church, people are typically very friendly and free coffee is offered. However there typically isnt much talking and communion with members. If you are looking for groups, they have that but to me its a little impersonal, as in, even though Im not a fresh face, I only talk with maybe 2 people after service.Im okay with that, but it doesnt make me particularly feel the best afterwards.

242s policy toward LGBT families is devastating. I hope that everyone who attends services or spends time at their new community center truly begins to grapple with this. Please dont sit by and enjoy their amazing cafe, fireplace, soccer fields and play spaces. LGBT families need our friends and coworkers to have our backs, and do something about the ways we are being hurt by their anti-gay policies. After reading Roxannes review (below), I had to write. Im so sorry that 242 sent you a text opposing your same-sex marriage rights. It is incredibly painful, and is the exact response my family received by phone last month--from a female pastor, when we were considering bringing our son to a playdate at the community center. 242 is perpetrating a dangerous and deceptive message, that has crept into our entire culture: we love you, and you are welcomed, but you are a sinner and we dont recognize your marriage rights or dignity.Churches do not demonstrate love to LGBT families by allowing them to step foot onto their grounds. They demonstrate love by honoring the humanity of our daily lives and our families--by actively supporting our civil rights and marriage rights--which allow us the legal protections to parent our children, provide health care for our families, and the ability to be seen for the beautiful people we are in this world.I encourage the leadership of 242 to be brutally honest with themselves about the pain they are causing our community. And I ask everyone who attends 242 to question their own privilege of membership, of standing by while LGBT families are made less than human. You can not welcome or love an LGBT family into your community while refusing their basic civil rights and humanity. It is not actually possible. When all is said and done, what side of history will you be able to tell your children that you were on?
