I love visiting here. Despite being in the middle of Ann Arbor, it is very peaceful and quiet. Others may be on the trails too when you visit, if its a busy time of year, but its never *super* crowded. Nice space to walk your dog on leash -- as *most* of the dog owners who utilize the paths are doing the responsible thing.

This is a great trail compared to everything else in the area! Its hidden, its actually BEHIND the science center. There are four paths to choose from; Black, Red, Yellow & Green. Bring good shoes because youre going to get tons of incline, and a few rabbit paths on all four. I suggest the black trail. It takes you right to the black pond. The pond rests in a small valley, away from roads, and is very peaceful. A small pontoon bridge goes over it. Walking to explore, or jogging for endurance, its a great trail either way!

I hike here often with a group of toddlers. Single track trail through the woods, ending at the LSCRaptor area.Nature playground, community garden, plentiful parking, and chickens in the summer.

Pleasurable hike. Safe and fun in all weather conditions. Signaling is plentiful. Its hard to get lost. Path is quite well maintained and its honestly frequently used by camps, neighbors and visitors so theres always someone around.

Theres a pretty dense trail that leads back to Black Pond, which is a small and definitely black swamp with a bridge crossing it. I went during the height of the summer, and it was only a little buggy, but I imagine this would be pretty nice in the fall. There arent a lot of people around here, so its quieter and more secluded than the Arboretum. It would be a good place to take a walk or even bike if youre getting tired of the usual campus activities.

I lived in Arrowwood Hills. We had a lot of fun going thrue the trails, its seen its fair share of struggles through the years... lol, 30 yrs later and the little murky pool of water folks call a pond is still there... not a lot of people go thrue there much so its nice for some solitude... if your still enough, the deer still roam through there.
